[Lyrics] 華族(Kazoku) kanji/romaji/english

Recommended Posts

I highly doubt anyone will translate Kazoku's lyrics anymore so I'll use this topic to post any translations I make for them. I remember seeing translations for Ukigumo and Rettou hoshi once in the past but can't seem to find Rettou hoshi online anymore. In any case, here are some of my translations for their songs~ I'll continue to post in this topic as I make new translations. I do hope to go through most of their discography sometime~

Rettou hoshi.

Spoiler

Lyrics: Azusa
Music: Azusa
Kanji source: rocklyric

Kanji:

Notes:
Okay, so I'm doubting the accuracy of the lyrics I found for this song and made some changes with what I think Yusa is actually singing. I marked those changes in red. At the beginning I hear him singing "僕の中で" when it's written as "僕の外で". In two lines I hear him singing "人" instead of "昨日". Anyone willing to double check me on this? (scroll down for a video of the song)

Romaji: Rettou hoshi.

English: Inferior Star.
Laughing within me is the vanity of life over and over again
Laughing within the town is a sigh over and over again...Ahh.

Except for the shining star, I feel unpleasant over and over again
Except for the season you were here, I sigh over and over again...I'm tired.

We spread our hands at once, if our ideal image is carried out
The rest will be easy, but that's not the case

Wave a flag, in order to defeat your too weak self
Today we don't need hopes and thoughts of tomorrow
Wave a flag, letting the too brittle time pass by
Connecting with the people of yesterday, and the unprecedented of today

It was built within me, the piling and piling feeling of inferiority
I breathed out for you, a piling and piling sigh...I'm listless.

We spread our hands gently, if you held out for me
Things would have been a little different, but reality isn't like that

Wave a flag, in order to believe in the too frightening future
A different tomorrow will surely greet the morning
Wave a flag, in order to avoid living a too ordinary life
People who feel differently should only be put to an end

Let's stop praying in front of the cross already

Because if we spread our hands gently, we don't need to pray
I believe that's good enough, we don't need salvation.

Wave a flag, say goodbye to yesterday's color of tragedy[1]
Once you defeat your too weak self
Wave a flag, and finish dying it in a color of yourself,
Who will not give in even to the too strong wind

Wave a flag
Wave a flag

Translation notes:
[1] Literally "tragic and heroic". I couldn't find the best way to translate this within the context, but I think what's implied here is that throwing one's old self away can be seen as somewhat both tragic and heroic. Tragic for dying once, and heroic for doing it for the better.

Lyrics: Azusa
Music: Azusa
Kanji source: nekovoice7的頻道 (the lyrics i found at rocklyric didn't seem reliable so i found a better one from a youtube video)

Kanji:

English: Red Flower, Winter's Resolve
The white that fell from the sky is a natural thing
So are cherry blossoms that fell not also a natural thing?
If rapidly fallen peaches is the solution
I want to begin with the first step soon

While being unaware, I hid it gently
I grew big and red so I hid myself

With the flowers that bloomed in the city
And some falling still in a bud
I am only following along
Swallowing up tears in the city, and being swallowed up
I look back to see if the outcome has arrived

The moon that reaped the night was blue
And the moon that was taken from the night was white

Spreading a coat of shame repeatedly, I was covered thickly
All red...I didn't want to be seen so I hid myself
Rather than singing a song of swollen love in exaggeration
It's better to shout with all your soul,
But such an incomplete way is not the answer
So I spit out and confront the resolve and lump from my chest[1]

Shame and thin line of self-confidence
Always concealing itself I don't even know how obvious it is
It was known by a shadow cast onto the wall

There are nights when I threw questions at my existence
But in the end what comes is not a change in the least
The problem is not the tone of red or size
But the small amount of courage and a broken speaker[2]

I wished for the shed tears in the city
To bloom as they soaked
The earth.

Translation notes:
[1] Not sure if this line is translated correctly. The word "付きつける"(tsukitsukeru) threw me off because of the different use of kanji, but I think it means "to confront" in this context.
[2] Literally "speaker that does not sound". I think it may be a metaphor for someone who has trouble speaking up or being heard, but I didn't find any real information on that.

I'm always open for any corrections and suggestions!

Check my lyric blog for more of my translations.

Thanks for looking! ^^
