So has anyone played that GOD EATER RESURRECTION game?

I wanna preorder #2 (GE:Res comes with it), but I don't know if it's worth it.

I haven't played resurrection but I've played the psp version of god eater which resurrection is an enhanced version of.... great game, really awesome if you're a fan of monster hunter like games and the anime style. I would say it's worth it.

I feel so stupid ><

I previously mentioned how I was having a tough time with the combat in Yakuza 0, because when I played as Majima the enemies were ridiculously aggressive and would never stop attacking me/knocking me down. I JUST realized that I had equipped an item (something like "Charisma Book") because it had good stats, but I didn't read the description. It actually increases the encounter rate and makes enemies reeeeally want to smash your face in. So, I took that off and it's back to smooth sailing.

But now I've been completely distracted by the Hostess Club mini-game. Majima becomes the manager of the club and you have to scout girls, train/dress up the "special' ones, and play a simulation where customers come in and you match them with a girl and do a bit of service, like interpreting hand signals to bring ice/towels/cups, and thanking the customer when their time is up. I'm so addicted to it.

...by the way, one of the "girls" you recruit is an old grandma with purple hair. Her special ability is "endless talking". T_T

Been playing X-COM Enemy Within for quite awhile now. I know it's a bit older but I've been trying to get the platinum trophy, I'm so close yet so far. The game is extremely brutal on the harder difficulties.

I beat Yakuza 0.

.....I'm sorry, I mean, I beat the hostess club mini-game in Yakuza 0. I probably spent 10 hours on it, lol. Finally got back to the actual story, and man that shit is getting intense. Pretty standard for a Yakuza game, though - myriad betrayals and plot twists, ridiculous violence, and a lot of talk about "manly" stuff and exploring concepts of loyalty and brotherhood. I always like to say that I feel 50% more manly while playing a Yakuza game (and I'm a girl. not the straightest of girls, but still a girl)

So, what happened with Shovel Knight? I last reported that I had lost all desire to play it once I got to the boss rush, which I assume is the last thing to do before fighting the actual final boss. That game was holding my Vita hostage for weeks, because I can't save in the middle of a level, and I did not want to have to play that level again to get back to the boss rush. Well, I gave it one more shot, died again at the second boss (stupid one-hit-kill spikes), and just fucking gave up. I'm sure it's doable, I'm sure I could "git gud" and power through it, but I just don't have the will, and I want to play other things on Vita. I still enjoyed what I played of Shovel Knight, it is a great game, but I hate boss rushes.

Now my Vita is being used for the otome romance visual novel Reine des Fleurs. I got it when it came out (August 2015), didn't play it until now. The main reason I wanted it was the art. It has the prettiest anime-style characters and environments I have ever seen. (Just google image search "Reine des Fleurs"). I'm still very early in the game, but the story seems serviceable so far. The dialogue, however, is filled with uncommon words that have me going to my dictionaries frequently. My main gripe is that the main character Violette is a really typical princess - young, sheltered, delicate. I'm way more interested in Ageha, who is the guide/teacher for my favourite guy, Leon. She likes drinking and she's got a lot of attitude - she's already beat the shit out of him more than once, and her costume is amazing. She stands out particularly because her costume is very Japanese, when most other characters are dressed in a more European style.

Of course, she is totally my type. The sekushii oneechan (sexy older sister) character with the added bonus of being comically violent against men. <3 <3 <3

I finished my hard pacifist/non-lethal run of Deus ex Human Revolution, it twas really great.... reminded me of all the things that were awesome about that game and also the things that were not so awesome. Looking forward to Mankind Divided now more than ever!

My modded Witcher 3 playthrough is still on hold due to a few mods that still need to be updated to the latest patch :/

Since I finished deus ex I finally decided to get around to start playing Wolfenstein The New Order and damn this game is so good! People have been telling me for years that they really hit it out the park with this game and I just sorta kept putting it off, but damn I'm digging the game so much right now.

I have sort of a guilty confession, and that's that I never completed Fire Emblem Awakening for the 3DS... yeah i know i know. Well no more because I'm knee deep in a new save file right now and I plan to take it all the way and rectify this great misdeed. And yes after I'm done I'll probably buy Fates.

Tokyo Mirage Sessions #FE is still going strong and I'm loving every minute of it, It is such a solid RPG and it most definitely is scratching that persona itch. Quite honestly the best JRPG I've played this year so far and in fact probably the best JRPG on the WiiU.

Furi on the PS4 one of the free games this month for PS+ and damn has this game really just charmed the hell out of me. I love the afro samurai / samurai 7 sci-fi look and vibes this game is giving off, and the combat as a mix of hack n slash bullet hell mechanics is just wonderful. Great game that I would of easily payed 20 bucks for, for free. good job.

DOOM

Bought the game from GMG (green man gaming) for less than $30. Best single player FPS game I've played since Wolfenstein New Order. Loving the gameplay and the creative level designs. I'm about 5 hours into the game.

I've been playing a bit of Tree of Savior, but is to grindy for me, I think. Started on Song of the Deep yesterday, a cute little underwater metroidvania, check it out if any of you enjoy the genre! and of course, tons of Overwatch and Dota 2!

I randomly decided to google the names of my beloved hostesses (from my hostess club in Yakuza 0) and found out that 5 out of 6 of them are actual porn stars. X_X

Along with almost every other female NPC in the game with a unique face.

I Am Setsuna

Started playing earlier today, I'm about 5 hours in right now and... loving every damn minute of it honestly. I'm really digging this game and it's throwback style and beautiful scenery. The music is god tier and as of right now is probably my favorite VG soundtrack I've listened to this year. This game is just scratching that old school JRPG itch right now in ways that I didn't even know were possible xD I'm very impressed with Tokyo RPG Factory right now with this being a very solid first game from them. Gonna continue playing before I really pass judgment on the game, because we all know that opinions can easily change in a 30+ hour JRPG, but as of right now I'm pleasantly enjoying this game so much.

Playing Rune Factory 4 (over 3 years old, finally got my hands on it) and Hyrule Warriors for 3DS. Brings back many memories I had of Dynasty Warriors, though the controls took me a while to get used to.

K, I finally beat Yakuza 0 for real this time.

GOD DAMN. What a game. Easily my most favourite Yakuza game, and possibly one of my most favourite games of all time...

I played it for more than 100 hours, which means I spent more time on it than Witcher 3 (without DLC), somehow.. well, probably has to do with the loads of text-only scenes and my slow reading speed. And I also spent a lot of time on some mini-games, whereas I ignored Gwent completely.

Add it to the short list of games that have made me cry (as in, needing at least one tissue). I don't remember ever crying because of a game before I got my PS4, so maybe I've just gotten more sensitive in my 'old' age. For the record, that list is Assassin's Creed Black Flag, Life is Strange, and Yakuza 0.. and maybe Journey.. as far as I remember.

I'm gonna fool around a bit in Neverwinter (PS4 version just came out and it's F2P).. if I don't get immediately addicted to it, I have a list of games that I've been wanting to get around to.

So what should I play next?

- Divinity: Original Sin

- Batman Arkham Asylum

- Darksiders

- God of War 2

- Kingdoms of Amalur: Reckoning

- Okami

- Puppeteer

The backlog is real... =_=

If no one answers me, I guess I will flip coins to pick one.

I cant believe you haven't played this. Makes me cry. What else is a lie?!?! lol

This game is a work of art. Everything about it is so drop dead gorgeous. It has got to be one of my fave top 10 games of all time.

I feel kinda bad for playing only PC games at the moment.
My poor consoles :\

At the moment it's

GTA Trackmania Online

Evolve Stage 2

Starbound 1.0 starting today

Rocket League

and Smite.

At least those are the ones I'm playing the most at the moment.

Like @YuyoDrift said Okami is one of the best games to come out in the past 10 years, definitely worth a play if you've never experienced it.

I would personally urge you to play Divinity: Original Sin as it's probably the single best CRPG in over a decade and many people consider it the game that saved/ is saving the genre in modern times. A really great role playing game that has a lot of personality and great things going on and still holds onto the genre's roots. Also I don't know if this is a factor for you but it has co-op as well, which is always fun :)

an extra pick would be Batman Arkham Asylum, as it's the best superhero game ever released. and if you are a batman fan then it's pretty much a must play that should not be ignored.
