Just dropping by to mention that they released a teaser/trailer for a Watchmen TV series coming later this year, and it looks really promising!

Yeah, looking forward to Watchmen. Should be fun.

Did anyone see the first episode of Chernobyl? Dear fucking god, the first episode was IMMENSE! That was just brilliant. It being shot in English is always a bit of a letdown considering it's set somewhere else in the world, but it works just fine. But still was the weakest link of the episode by a mile. But other than that it was truly brilliant. Could barely blink while watching it. Was that fucking good!

Probably a bit old but just started watching Easy on Netflix. It's so addictive and heartwarming. Kind of like Black Mirror's Hang The DJ in terms of feel good factor. It's sad at times but I feel I can relate to it better because of that.

Although I will say that seeing Orlando Bloom in a threesome for rather extended scenes was a bit creepy XD

Watched season one of Easy this weekend. It's OK, but I ain't gonna continue with it. I like the mumblecore-feeling of it all, and it started out really well. But after a while it just lost all of its charm and comedy and turned into a sappy drama or something. Shame, but whatever.

Finished the second season of Chilling Adventures of Sabrina and liked it, but not nearly as much as I did season 1. And for me, that's only down to the reason that the first season felt way, way more campy. I got a really strong 60's camp feeling of season 1, and it was somewhat lacking this time around. Still campy, just not as much. And the campy elements of the first season were by far my favourite part of everything.

But I liked it. Was very entertained throughout. Did not like the actor playing Lucifer tho. He just felt...completely empty. He had nothing to give whatsoever. Shame, because the character could've been pretty awesome if they had done it right. I'd love to see him more sleazy and flamboyant version of him.

Chernobyl is really strong so far, this week's episode was especially dark (tho it always is, so hard to rank them I guess). Utterly dreary atmosphere.

On the flipside, I've been enjoying some What We Do in the Shadows too. Possibly the funniest show currently, totally lives up to the movie!

Fuck me, The Boys looks neat as hell. Is this the superhero series we've all been waiting for? Looks really absurd and fucked up.

Haven't read it, but will see if I can pick it up pretty soon. Seems a must-read.

Castle Rock - Another new anthology series that's excellent, and hopefully this'll get more seasons than Channel Zero despite the fact that Channel Zero were superior to this. That doesn't mean this is bad tho, not at all. This was actually excellent from beginning to end. Psychological horror inspired by Stephen King, but which is not actually a Stephen King adaption. So this is basically a Stephen Kingian series, like the brilliant Shadow Bound (TOP 3 SERIES EVER! Watch it!) was a Lovecraftian series.

Really looking forward to new season. Wondering if it's gonna be another Stephen Kingian season, or if they base it off someone else. Anyway I'm really interested in it.

I finished When They See Us and I can't believe no-one's said anything about this yet. True crime drama series based on the Central Park jogger case. Heartbreaking, devastating, brutal and really fucked up. Holy fuck, the last episode of When They See Us, man. That shit was actually though to get through. Devastating stuff.

The story itself is just scary. How anyone involved with the police and prosecution could let something with this happen as late as in 1989 is nothing less than shocking.

Superb series, with Jharrel Jerome standing out as one hell of an actor. Crazy good performance. 9/10

I'm very curious about the Watchmen serie. I hope it's good, but if it's not at least I can hope for more Dan/Rorschach on AO3, so it's still a win for me. 😆 (hopefully I can have both)

I watched both Chernobyl and Good Omen and I liked both (although for entirely different reasons). They are both really well made.

Waiting for s3 of Stranger Things in july and a bit of free time to binge Gentleman Jack.

Comrade Detective - Comrade Detective is presented as a long lost Romanian TV-series that resemble a non-existent gritty 1980's Cold War Romanian police show that promoted Communist ideals. It's shot in Romania with a Romanian cast, but is dubbed by the likes of Channing Tatum, Joseph Gordon-Levitt and loads of less familiar faces and voices. It's six episodes and it works both as a crime comedy and a fake anti-socialist propaganda series. It's exciting, it's fun and very, very well made. Probably a top 10 series for me, maybe quite high on that list too. Excellent!

Finished Good Girls season 2 today and really liked it. Without a doubt a huge step up from season one which I quite liked. But this season was proper good. Looking forward to a new season.

Stranger Things S03 yeee boiii

Just watched the first 4 episodes, so far so good (as always). I was afraid Erica would annoy the shit out of me, but she's actually hilarious, haha.

Watched both season of Dark recently. I've sene it compared to Stranger Things, but it's nothing like Stranger Things. Sci-fi noir with time travelling and a really, really, really complex story. If this was English-speaking it would've been on everyone's best of the decade lists, but because it's German-speaking it's not. And it's a shame, because it is a complete and utter masterpiece. So well-crafted and superbly put together. Mindblowing and heavy shit.

So Stranger Things is mainly about nostalgia, Dark is about blowing minds and making you confused and make you go "OH HEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEELL NAAAAAAAAAAAW!!!!!". Stranger Things are one of my all time favourite series btw, so it's not meant as a diss or anything. Just that the comparison is utterly stupid.

Started Stranger Things season 3 today. First episode was GUUUUUD!

Dark is so good, season 2 is back apparently, so I'll have to watch that next.

Yeah, like I said I watched both seasons. Season 2 makes the first season even better because it shine so much light on the story, the characters and so on. A perfect example on how to continue a series. Season 3 should be wicked as hell.

Started binge-watching The Boys today (just premiered yesterday afaik), so far so great. Unconventional superhero themed series from a reverse-perspective and exposing the seedy underbelly of superherodom, kinda like a modern-day Watchmen mixed with some crime/thriller elements. I also browsed into the comics a bit, those seemed cool too so I might give them a read later.

After I'm done with The Boys, next up: the last season of Orange Is the New Black!

Finished Stranger Things season 3 as soon as I got home from vacation and thought it was exceptional, like its previous 2 seasons. My favourite thing about the series is how it manages to keep the nostalgia and feeling from season 1 alive, while going in a whole new and different direction. Did this with season 2 as well. Absolutely amazing. Best series ever? Probably. Top 3 for sure!

Btw, the new female characters where all amazing. Both Robin and Erica works really well. Especially Erica. Witty, smart and snappy(?). Gotta love that. Fantastic portrayal too, which is the key for a character like this. Managed to never become annoying, even though in most cases she would be annoying as fuck. Impressive!

Highlight of the season? Steve and Dustin, man. That chemistry is FIRE!!! 10/10!

Series as a whole? 10/10! Give me 5414675413541354165415614 more seasons plz!
