Thank you! I forgot to say that I like Diru very much, some days ago I was listening to DUM SPIRO SPERO and thinking "wow, this guys are really so good, how come I haven't listened to this album in such a long time?".

I think I tried some MUCC back in the day and I only listened to their softer songs. If they have anything heavy, I might go after it.

For the other bands, thank you very much for the recommendations, I will try to look them all up.

About new Trivium songs: when they released Catastrophist my first impression was of a weak song with songwriting between SITS and TSATS. Good drumming and some nice riffs, but still kinda boneless like the whole SITS album. Then I listened to it again and again and it grew on me. I know think it is very good and much better than SITS, but still something is missing. And just the same with the last single they put out. I guess it will be a good album overall, just not one of the best like Ascendancy, Shogun and The Sin and the Sentence.

Imagine if all their songs were like this and Oboreru Sakana. I'm so salty that they wasted their potential making ridiculous Circus Kei. 

I think you would like heavier DADAROMA tbh.

The most obvious recommendation for you would of course be DIR EN GREY. If you are more into the metal than start with their THE MARROW OF THE BONE era.
Also MUCC would be your kind of tea but their discography is huge and it's hard to overview it. Start with the classic Homura Uta album for some great tunes.
One of the most hyped bands here in the last years were DIMLIM. They released a banger with their CHEDOARA album. But they kinda lost the track and their new album is ahem different..
A band which is also on the run at the moment are Kizu (キズ). They have a great mix between some core elements and crazy other stuff.
If you were into BORN I would recommend you gulu gulu. They are kinda new to the scene (in this formation) but they generated some hype.
If you want to follow up the DEATHGAZE, AI has a new band called DARRELL.

Between 2010 and 2014 most of the music I listened to was Japanese, especially visual kei. After some time I started diving into metalcore, and now my favorite genre is prog metalcore, my favorite bands are Trivium (this one isn't prog but I love them since 2014), Northlane, Periphery, Polaris etc.
 
But in the last days I have been revisiting some songs from D'espairsRay and -OZ- and I wondered what new visual kei bands would please my ears. I want you guys to fill me in the new visual kei metal bands. Back in the day my favorite band was DELUHI (I still hold them dearly!), and I also liked very much D'Ray, which I already mentioned, ALSDEAD (but nowadays I think they were kinda bad musicians haha), BORN (same as ALSDEAD...), the GazettE (I still like them), GALEYD (still like them), the more metalcore-ish phase of girugämesh, some of lynch., MEJIBRAY, some DEATHGAZE tunes... Well, I think that right now you  guys know what is the type of music I like. Please let me know what is hot right now!

Got out of a year-long emotionally/physically abusive relationship this past month and been getting back in control of my life. My anxiety and depression has decreased a lot and my self-confidence has increased. Today I hung out with my best friend and listened to some new J-Rock that I love and I am really happy.

I feel like Batman vs Superman is a movie that we should of gotten like 6-8 years from now... I don't understand why they would start off their cinematic universe with something like this that takes place so far in the batman timeline.... and because of that the whole movie is a hot mess script wise, and has zero real character development.
 
I feel like they are rushing to catch up to Marvel and that's just not realistic. Marvel has built their cinematic universe very well by developing characters across multiple movie franchises for almost 10 years now, establishing those characters, building them , then they do the big action mashup between said characters. When that time comes we already know who they are and what they've been through and most importantly we are emotionally attached to those characters, and that's why it works.
 
DC it seems took the shortcut and decided not to lay any of the ground work, and this movie suffers for it. Don't get me wrong the action in this movie is terrific and the CG is out of this world, the movie itself is a very serviceable "popcorn" flick. And that is where the problem lies, it's supposed to be something more than that and it just isn't... really disappointing.

Hey guys, let's not derail the topic and let's also try to be respectful towards the band and the fans of the band.
 
While everyone's opinions are valid, stop and think to yourself "is this really a good time and place to express my opinion?", "Will my opinion add anything of value at the present?". It's never pleasant when one of your favorites are going away, so at least try to be considerate of the fans. 

Once again I feel the same way I felt when Lycaon announced their disbandment. I waited for them for so long to break up and now that they're going I don't feel happy that it's happening. BORN was one of those bands that have been around for forever and they felt like they would be around forever.

Not my bedroom and this is a couple months old now (from around Christmas), but here is my living room:

^ this is why I don't call vk bands "djent" or "core". Because they usually only take one part of those genres then blend it into their usual sound. They use djent-y riffs and -core breakdowns to spice up their sounds. That doesn't make them djent or metalcore bands in my book.

Now that you guys talked about djent I remember that it's funny how I never recognize djent and metalcore on v-kei bands. They distort and mix everything so much I can barely recognize lol And I'm the guy who left v-kei aside to listen to metalcore and other core stuff. Sincerely I never thought about MBHI as a djent band. Are they?

Oh okay you are right. I just forgot what defines a band as djent. It's just that it's so different from the djent bands I am used to listen to around the internet. Japanese musicians really have their way! XD

They Def are a Djent band. Just listen at those distorted palm mutes and stuff like that~

I have listened to it and I can understand why some people wouldn't like it but, 0 out 5? Come on now.  And how are any of the songs generic?
