You make that same statement in a group of them, and suddenly you're shun or they think less of you because you didn't get "the real experience" 😒
 
Granted, some dubbed versions like sailor moon and related had a lot change in their story (cousins instead of lovers, androgynous character were changed to straight men/women) that these weebots could use to drive their point home, but that was back then and tv corps had more control over that than say Adult Swim a decade later that made it their own.

I agree the dubs on some shows are great, and some are better in original Japanese for the expression in their voices making that much of a difference, but sometimes dubbed is necessary for those who can't follow subtitles/reading is hard for them.
 
It's too cringe for me to hear weebs say "dubs are horrible, subs are better", when you can't even see the otherside, and sometimes, I wonder if it's even them talking like an idiot.

As much as I get shit for this, I always blame it on user negligence because it always comes back to that. Yes the companies should be held liable/responsible, but they never held a gun to your head. That soon became you due to what society now deems "normal" when it comes to social media and how no one should be left behind in tech since it's so easy to jump on the wagon.
 
We have been conditioned to be as lazy as possible when it comes to our attention spans, free-thinking, and consumption of media. Turning on notifications, tracking, and agreeing to license agreements without so much as looking into them cuz that way we have more time for things during the day. What better way to bore/trick you since your attention span is no more than 5 min or less now.
 
We have given up too much for convenience that soon the next generation is going to think this is just normal, and these are people that potentially will consume media and use apps 1.5X faster than those who we think are pros at it already. The last thing on their mind will be what happens when they put the phone down, since most of us now don't even bother to end apps or set privacy settings to log off/turn off when not using them.

I'm glad you're aware of this, but it's been going on for a while. China gets shafted because they willingly do things they shouldn't when it comes to data mining, and using fancy ways to do it too.
 
Applications that have nothing to do with voice ask for access to your microphone in order to use the app. Products like the knockoff Philips Hue Lightbulbs from china , which use an app to control them, apparently need to send feedback information to their servers in China, for what? I've actually looked into Li-Fi (light Fidelity) several years ago, and even wrote a paper on it to know it's not that hard to send data back to the network without your consent. Look forward to that in your airplanes this year or the next, as Li-Fi is finally taking off it seems.
 
Google themselves are getting to be stagnant in popularity that they have spent more time finding ways to receive revenue through data collected (and then selling) by things like timelines of your day (I find it in poor taste for them to send me notifications to confirm whether I went to this place or not, let alone how the fuck they knew I was there), whether or not you go to their recommended spots to eat/hang out, or simply taking the route home from work/school they recommended you take more than once.
 
I mean the whole Driver's License thing with the FBI/ICE is still making me cringe since things like a selfie you take can be used to locate you or your loved ones if they are being investigated. Yet you, the poor schmuck, think that tagging yourself is a good idea because they told you it was.
 

Honestly sometimes I can't fathom those comments too @saiko.
Bands like A9 and ayabie had very similar indies periods where they went through a gothic period too and then transitioned into something else that worked for the most part. They left some of the best tracks from that era hands down, and I think many bands wish they had such timeless tracks on their roster today.
 
Around 2002-2005 a lot of fans from back then listened to those bands if not more like them like Vidoll, Kagrra, Kra, Lolita23q, and DuelJewel. There's more but I was not an active VK listener back then, so I'd have to ask my elders lol.
 
Oshare gets a bad rap for sure, but a lot of bands border that nowadays so it doesn't make sense haha.

@patientZERO I'm an all around fan of pretty much all Castlevania games portable or otherwise so I was interested just cause I liked the series so much in general.
 
@YuyoDrift I should be playing Nier as well since there's going to be a raid tied to in in Shadowbringers but I don't think I'll have much time once the expansion drops. Might tackle it once things slow down.
 
@chemicalpictures It's not super innovative but at the same time it's nice to play something that brings back such nostalgia and Iga knows how to make an enjoyable game. I'm seriously enjoying it overall. It has all the aspects I enjoyed of all the previous Castlevania games and I can accept this being Iga's baby from now on.

It’d just be by itself on my forearm, and I’d have the words Disorder above it, and instead of it saying “Gazette” underneath like the album cover does, I’ll probs pick a song title from the album or something to go underneath, but I’ll decide that later xD 

Considering that at the time there was merchandise and promotional posters all over Japan (and internationally I suppose) with this same imagery, I'd say you'd be OK.
 
There was an interview in 2005 (I think) where they asked about the cover but I'd have to look for it.
 
I guess it really depends on where on your arm you're getting the tattoo and if is gonna be by itself or part of an existing sleeve.

It's great! I kinda expected it to be more innovative, it's more a homage to Iga's history than anything, it certainly does not pushes metroidvania ahead like Hollow Knight did, but everything people love about castlevania is there. tight controls, interesting bosses and enemies, I'm having a blast!

Probably low-budget, highly filtered kei lol.
