From someone who hasn't played the original, the PTSD + story alterations are a bit weird, the Eng. version sometimes has this corny "Top Gun"-like dialogue, and the game is really fucking horny (in an oddly charming way, at least.) All that said, the worldbuilding is phenomenal, crazy attention to detail, and it feels really cinematic. 
 
I really don't like Midgar's grungy, industrial aesthetic, but the other positives I mentioned might convince me to buy it if it's ported to PC.

from what i've seen the storyline has somewhat been altered at multiple points and there's these weird goofy-ass time ghosts that pop up whenever stuff happens that isn't ''canon'' to the original ps1 game's events  (i.e. characters dying in the remake's events who aren't supposed to die in the original game etc) in order to 'fix' the timeline

there is literally no difference between plastic tree and smashing pumpkins (both have singers who are bald)

@colorful人生 It seems as though vk has died down even from how small it was before I stopped following. But Im surprised with the quality of bands that are out and about these days. 
 
Ive been okay, Lot's of changes @ home and in the family but taking it a day at a time haha. 

At least for me, tepid is a good way to put it given the current events. I have plenty to keep me busy (given the field I'm in), but it's really unsettling with nothing "observable" happening around me. Currently archiving all the "no-audience" vk livestreams across a plethora of streaming platforms, which are a good way to catch up with current bands.

-  After オトイロハ (otoiroha) disbanded (which was really just a brief hiatus before their ジグザグ reformation), 長戸大幸 (Mr. Daiko Nagato), founder of the Being Group which produced ZARD & WANDS, scouted him for his "indies-era" voice. So he was familiar w/ his visual kei bands.
 
-  He went under the pen name 上原大史 (Daishi Uehara) and did some composition/arrangement work for a ZARD tribute album and other works (w/ Being Group.)
 
-  He performed in 琳派ROCK (Rimpa Rock) (shown at 5:16.) This alludes to the fact that he was already involved w/ the Being Group.
 
- Became the 3rd vocalist of WANDS. The band suddenly active after 20 years (which makes this all the more special.)

bruh that's so wild! Good for him getting a gig like this! Although I'm not really into Zigzag anymore, there's no denying he has a great voice, so he truly deserves this! I was just surprised because I vaguely remember seeing a tweet about the day he joined and I didn't realize it was him out of all people!

Ryu (ex-MoNoLith) is the vocalist of ミスイ(misui), so you'd probably be a fan of them. 零[Hz] and HAKLO are relatively new (if you consider the past 2 years "new".) Both are pretty fun, imo.

To add to your last point, it definitely takes a huge weight off of your shoulders when you have a clearer picture of what's going on in your body. 
 
I'm not sure if you were diagnosed with the vascular type of EDS (vEDS), but regardless, don't overlook the continued advances of EDS research and treatment methods. As long as you're mindful with what you have and keep a positive mindset, that's really the best you can do.
 
EDS doesn't define you, but maybe vk bandomen do =P.
