  1. Are you still selling all of your Rentrer en Soi CD's and the Gazette's NIL? If you are can you let me know how much it would cost to ship them to the UK? And if possible could I have photos of the CD's? Both the front/back and inside the case if possible. Thank you

The English voice-over guy was a little ridiculous but the song itself sounds very promising. It's the first preview in a while to get me this excited for a new release. Cannot wait!

rrrright here: http://www.cdjapan.co.jp/detailview.html?KEY=SFCD-107 Oh, thank you! It wasn't up when I searched just before I posted and the way they worded it on the site made it sound like it was a mail-order only CD.

Where can you get the limited deluxe version?
  5. froggyman75

Toshiya totally looks like the hero from Journey, just without the scarf in that pic. Great news though. Looking forward to the single.

Doesn't this sort of make their PV collection DVD not worth getting any more as this has all their PV's, right? I'll probably end up picking this up as I seem to be lacking Merry CD's and I like owning PV collections. It seems like a pretty solid collection of songs anyway.

Men in Black 3 It was okay for a "children's" comedy/action film. Way better than the mess that was the second film but still not as good as the first one. Had a couple of parts that were just plain meh and the bad guy didn't really get enough screen time. There are definitely worse ways to spend an hour and 45 minutes. Also the 3D was absolutely terrible. There wasn't anything that even looked 3D at all. EDIT: Just watched Chronicle It was a pretty good film for what it was. Could have done with a bit more characterisation and it would have been nice to see how they discovered their powers but the final battle scene was pretty great.

The timing sounds a little weird at points but apart from those moments, I quite like it. Also glad to see that they're not trying to constantly be "heavy" too.

It is a preview of the song so of course it is a preview. I meant that it's a "short" version, like the "TV size" versions anime songs usually get whereas previews are usually 15-60 seconds rather than 2 minutes. But yeah, I guess it is still a preview, I'm just being a bit nit-picky
  10. froggyman75

It's not a preview is it? It's just the shorter version of the song. It sounds bloody great though, as most of their songs do. Glad to see they're still awesome after the, what, almost 2 year break?

Ichi the Killer I was real confused through most of it but overall I really enjoyed watching it, the story and the two main characters (Kakihara and Ichi) were absolutely brilliant although some of the more gorey scenes had me in fits of laughter, whether intentional or not I do not know. I recommend it if you enjoy gorey Japanese action/yakuza films filled with insane characters.

I've always endured the opera vocals (although iirc only Night of Knights and that cover song had it?) because usually it's not so prominent and the rest of the song is amazing but holy crap they're ridiculously bad in this, I almost turned it off because of them. At least after about a minute of that awkwardly timed singing and opera vocals it went to the normal A awesomeness. I seriously hope it's not so prominent in the rest of the album.

I like this song a lot more than the previous two. The drums are a lot more varied too. Is it me or does it sound like a faster/harder version of This Coma? Especially with the chorus vocal melody, but that might just be me.

Hazuki writing the songs has nothing to do with Asanao's drumming patterns. He's always been a monotonous drummer. Besides, lynch. has been improving upon their ballads since day one. Their first attempt at a ballad was a snoozefest. This is quite lively in comparison. I guess. It just seems like he felt like doing one thing at one speed throughout the new songs. He seemed a little more varied in IBiM compared to now though but idk. Definitely agree with that though. The ballads on IBiM and Shadows were great and this is no exception. When I said another standard ballad I didn't mean it in a negative way, I quite like their ballads and more of the same from lynch is never a bad thing. The more I listen to Frozen though, the more I like it. It just seems a lot better structured than Inferiority Complex and as a whole just sounds like a lot more time was put into writing the song. I'm beginning to understand what you all dislike about Inferiority Complex too. It really is a pretty bad song for lynch.
  15. froggyman75

It sounds like another standard ballad (albeit a little... faster I guess) from them really. I'm getting a little annoyed at Asano's drum beats though. He seems to always be playing the same beat at the same speed in all the new songs, but I guess that can be blamed on Hazuki considering he seems to write all their songs. Mixing sounds a little better in this song though. The chorus and acoustic interlude are pretty nice too. I think I prefer Inferiority Complex though, but I tend to prefer their harder songs.
  16. froggyman75

It seems decent enough. Just a standard pop song really. Drums and production of the song sound absolutely horrendous though, especially when Yuuki sings over himself. I really hope they fix that. Although Yuuki's voice seems to be really horrible anyway in this song. You also forgot the PV spot for the other song, this song sounds even worse. 844bfZlqxKs

I'm usually okay with other people's negative opinions but if you seriously think that, you need your ears checked. Seriously. I understand if you don't like it but is it really THAT bad? I personally quite like the song. It's just more of the same really. I don't see what you guys find so bad about it. Production seems to be crap but it hasn't really been great since they joined King Records not to mention the crappy quality of the video anyway but the song's still decent enough.
  18. froggyman75

black is the only previously released song on the album, which is kind of odd how they chose that song but none of the songs they've released on the 2 singles after black. I wonder why.
  19. froggyman75

2 PV's and 9 new songs? Hell yeah. Totally excited for this album. One question though, is "MIRRORS-we're not alone-" a rerecording or rearranged?
  20. That is some collection you're selling. I'd love to buy all your Babylon releases but I have no money :c What releases do you have from Da'vidノ使徒:aL, Klein Kaiser and Aioria?

I'm doing this review as I listen to the album for the first time so not everything here is my final thoughts. If I give it another spin I'll add my final thoughts later. MADARA - intro/10 Standard intro is standard. Nothing much going on here. SUICIDE - 5/10 Didn't enjoy this song too much from the PV but listening to it again now it's growing on me. Wataru should really stop those horrible growls that he's trying to do though. It's almost enough to make my ears bleed. The chorus sticks with me though. BAAL-ZEBUL - 2/10 Okay, what the fuck is this? I'm getting a very (earlyish) Girugamesh-esque feel from this song, but not the good sort of feel. Wataru's growls are once again, atrocious. This song just isn't clicking with me at all. ABUSE - 3/10 Same with the last song really. The chorus in this seems really out of place but it's better than the rest of this song. I'm liking this more than Baal but it's still just not that good. SUIREN - 7/10 Standard ballad here really. Generic as fuck but it's the best and most listen-able song so far. Wataru should stick to singing this way rather than the horrible operatic singing he was doing in Suicide. I actually quite like this song. JAZETSU - 6/10 This song starts off a lot better than the other "heavy" songs. The bass drum clicking is REALLY bad though. Wataru's growling is once again, horrible. They could have just got rid of his growling from the track during that bit between the verses, during/after the "solo" and the outro and this song would have been a lot better. Overall though this song is definitely the best harder song so far. EN - 8/10 Another pretty decent song here. I get a bit of a Rentrer en Soi vibe from this. No horrible screaming, decent singing and no horrible drum clicking. I think they actually managed a song I can consider good on this album. HESITATION - 5/10 Starts off good and then Wataru came in... I'm starting to see a little trend here. Another "pretty okay" song. Nothing special but at least it's not filled with horrible growls. FEROCIOUS - 4/10 Thanks to the vocal effects, Wataru's screaming actually sounds listen-able. Although those talked verses sound pretty horrible. Not liking this song much though. HIDE & SEEK - 7/10 This is actually the only song that gives me a Dir en grey vibe. The song started off pretty bad but I actually quite like this, well, at least a lot more than their other "br00tal" songs. MADMAN - 1/10 Thank god this song is only 2 minutes. Drum clicks and horrible screaming all over the place. FORTITUDE - 9/10 Another (present) Girugamesh-esque song. I think this is probably my favourite track from the album. Not much else I can say really. Overall - 6/10 While this album has a few good tracks (Fortitude, En, Hesitation, Suiren) this album is just pretty shit. I enjoy this album a hell of a lot more than Mar Maroon and I still find it better than most indie-VK bands but for 12012 and an album that's supposed to be "back to their roots" this album does a pretty crappy job at it.

Alice Nine Because the other 3 only have one guitarist?

I recently bought my sister a pair of Koss Porta Pro Stereo Headphones for her birthday and they have great sound. They easily match up to some of the Sennheiser's around the same price range (£30~ in the UK) and can fold up and are easily portable unlike most non-earphone Sennheiser's. I highly recommend them if you can find them for a reduced price like I did (£5 in a bargain bin, definitely a great steal) and even at full price they're worth it if you want a great pair of portable headphones.

So will both limited editions contain live footage from the same show?

One Flew Over The Cuckoo's Nest Probably one of the best films I've ever seen.
