I think there's nothing to be ashamed about. I've had some bad projects and I'm also in an old school vk influenced project that I formed online through this site. Every band has been shit when they first started out. It takes a lot balls to put yourself out there and to try. It's a lot easier to just sit back behind your computer and say "Lol look at these sucky weeaboo poserz" Than to try it yourself.
 
I do appreciate this thread though and I think it's cool to share music in this way bad or not. All forms of criticism can help a band. I listen to criticism and try to become better with it. Although some people just like to be assholes too. My band is still working on an album and I look forward to hearing all of your criticism or impressions when it's finished. I'll even post it in the "Truly crappy western vk" thread here.
 
I'd also like to say that no matter how shit I feel about my past or new works I do it all because of my love for music and expression. A lot of people are afraid to put themselves out there but the good artists continue to do so and continue to grow. Most of the people in these bands are teenagers or very young and inexperienced. Take a look at some of your beloved Jrock bands at the same age, level of equipment, etc and you probably won't see much better.

The Hisitory of Genesis.

This album is not slaying anything. Most of the songs seem obviously rushed and uninspired. I really like moon a lot though also Perverted Martyr is okay. Going to have to listen to it further to write up a full review.

Because VK isn't a genre? And yeah, people "growing out" of a music scene were probably in it for wrong reasons in the first place. So I guess uh... do what everyone else does and go listen to kpop instead because it's so much more ~*~mature~*~ *shrug*

Recording is better, Iria's voice is better, song is better. Only thing i prefer on the original is maybe the guitar solo. I'm glad both songs exist but this new one seems better to me. Their old songs aren't untouchable you know. A lot of them were very poor quality even for 90s vk. So i think its great that they're re-recording some of their older songs.

D has gotten so stale over the years anyway. Honestly I'm not really all that excited for new releases anymore.

I say yes even though i don't know how active that part of the forum would be. It would be nice if people could translate interviews or add in already translated ones there.

i like how ppl alway act like it's a sin to talk about looks when it's called VISUAL kei, ppl just might not feel the need to talk about the music because it speaks for itself. but of course all the ppl that talk about looks only care about looks.

I'm curious to know how far you all have gone. Some of you may be living in japan right now, some may be actively studying, while others don't care much about the language at all and just listen to the music.
 
I used to be this way however I've been taking it more seriously lately. I've thought about all the reasons I'm depressed with my life and all of the reasons learning the language might benefit me in the long run. No i haven't decided if i will move to japan some day but there's no question that i have a love for the language and art of japan. I want to be able to actually SING and recall words from songs without having to look up lyrics or romanji. That's my goal. I also would love to be able to talk to Japanese girls and have some Japanese friends as well.
