      Interesting article, but it was probably worth mentioning both Nocturnal Bloodlust and Deviloof had incarnations of their bands in the metalcore scene -before- they made the switch to the visual kei circuit. I'm nitpicking, but it feels a little misleading to say they are VK who incorporate metalcore when they're kind of the other way around. Nonetheless, it's nice to see visual kei getting out in front of more people. Good job. ^^)b

      Omg. I'm so sorry. I just went through replacing partial roof, ceiling and flooring in my bedroom since Irma. Plumbing is so fking expensive too. My heart goes out to you.

    Were CoЯe the Child popular here / in the Western fanbase at the time they were around? Sometimes it's hard to tell how people got into things. For example: a lot of people only tried Dué Le Quartz because Miyavi was in it, not the other way around. Trying to see if UnsraW's success was just a natural continuation of Yuuki's old band, or did he just happen to get lucky by doing the same thing but at the right place and time.

    Halfway through latest Coldrain and good lord, feels like every song is the same uninspired shit. Freaking disappointing, VENA was such a killer...

      I actually loved the Alanis cover lol. And I dug about 2 other songs I think will kick live, but pretty much agree with you this album was disappointing after VENA. Almost exactly how I felt about The Revelation after Through Clarity.

    Die-hard MUCC fans are probably the luckiest ones ever due to these several reasons.

     

    - 20 year music career and still on going. Never once went on a hiatus

    - Lineup has never changed (if this doesn't count.)

    - Never forget their roots whether their newer stuff sometimes sounds disappointing probably because of experimenting, they still know how to make good music as if it was originally from their initial era. I believe only very few or even none can do this.

    - Regularly releasing new songs unlike other big bands from the same league.

    - Older and way older songs are re-recorded from time to time. What surprised me most was when the original version of NO!?, their first demotape ever, was included in Ieiji. How did they manage to maintain their first song when the band's future wasn't in sight during the past 20 years?

     

    This is from a casual MUCC fan's perspective like me. I'd have a lot to add if I were a hardcore one.

      This is the truth! Life is good as a Mucc fan. Even as a major label band they still have a lot of visual concepts. lol I don't count those "new" members as a line up change...  it was just a contest to make fans feel special, right?

      It was an Azami/Vision of Fatima split. It's been out for a while (and neither band is very popular) so I wasn't surprised it's sold out but they got my hopes up when they still had it listed. OTL

    Anyone else here import records/LPs from Japan? Do you notice you  need more weight on or needle arm to get them to play without skipping? I don't see much online about this and it's driving me nuts.

      Yeah, they're all newer releases.. and they are pop/dance and downtuned metal so lots of heavy bass for sure. I would have never thought about tonearm height being a factor. I'll see if my table has an adjustment for that, thank you. :)

      It's strange because it doesn't do it to any of my domestic or Korean releases... only the Japanese ones. The stylus is brand new, but I could increase the weight on the tone arm? I just wanted to try to get more info on it before I did.
