LIDL reacted to ghost in Remakes/Re-recordings: Do ya like em?
I hate that they started producing music with the lowest common denominator in mind. For their Beautiful Deformity cycle I remember reading an interview where Ruki talked about buying the "right" kind of mic or something and that he wanted to consider the fans that just listened to music through their phone speaker or something like that. People who listen to music that way deserve to have their ears taken from them anyways.
I think I get it. I felt that way about re-recordings for Girugamesh's "Goku" and "Gokusou". The production was heavier and they added a lot of flourishes which was nice, but they also updated the sound with their style at the time so it sounded too electronic and clean. So, the originals will always be the one I listen to even if it's more lo-fi and simpler.
I always appreciate acoustic versions or different takes. These tend to work out better imo because, like you said, a lot has to change to make it work so bands gotta be more deliberate with the writing.
I wish bands like Screw actually did a few remakes. Some vkei bands early on had some ROUGH vocals when they started out.
I'm a fan of remastering in most cases too. Less tampering with the original.

LIDL got a reaction from Seimeisen in Remakes/Re-recordings: Do ya like em?
Neither for me, they are always either hit or miss. Especially with certain bands or artists.
Also, it is the nostalgia thing. I might able to appreciate the new old songs when I hear it, but I don't ever consider it as the same song anymore.
I enjoy remastering better than these two options.

LIDL got a reaction from Total Saikou in Actors who tried a music career
Jada Pinkett Smith
Tom Hardy raps as Tommy No.1
Russel Crowe
I don't really put Asians here cos of standards difference. In East Asia, being multi talented are appreciated, so it is very common to find actors who can sing or singers who acts. In some cases it was actually required for to be a star to be able to do all. Especially in China/HK/Taiwan showbiz.
People like Andy Lau, Jacky Chan, Aaron Kwok, Sammi Cheng, Anita Mui, Jimmy Lin, and dozens more have been a teen heart throbs in their days, both by acting and music.
While in the West, the modern showbiz standards caused a lot of professional actors who cross overs into recording an album becomes either niche side project or laughing stocks, unless they are really good at it.

LIDL got a reaction from Total Saikou in Marilyn Manson
I don't like it. It is unlistenable to me.
He is becoming so basic these days. That song he did some time ago with Avril will never be forgiven. And this album is another offering that shows that basicness. I can't feel any aggresion and purity from him and his music anymore. Those were the part that makes it interesting for me. His "bangers" these days were always so luke warm now, it barely punches.
No doubt, he is a changed man, and I won't put it against him. I have hoped he would get his second wind, but at this point, I guess this is the part where I really consider to stop following his career anymore as I don't feel anything left for me anymore.

LIDL got a reaction from nekkichi in (Apparel/Pre-Order) Shopping Service Recommendations
Use DeJapan, it is better amd easy to use.
I am a long time costumer of them, and not once was dissapointed. Their costumer service are also top notch.
I especially felt helped during this pandemic, and Japan decided to hold off a lot of parcels using EMS, which caused a looooong delay. They hooked me up to different services instead and got my parcels on time.
They shipped all things you can buy from online Japanese shops. I even get them to buy me limited edition ramen cups once. Those pringles flavored ones.
Also, Dejapan don't ask for yours identity card (either driving license, id card, SSN) for verification the way Tenso does, so it is much more safer, like why tf Tenso needed a copy if my ID card?! WTF is that?!

2020 Clever is just hits different and we don't like it.
DEG attempt at remaking their own songs have always been hit or miss. And Clever is one of those misses for sure. Actually most of their remakes after they turned bit into Ooga Booga sounds are mostly misses for me. There are lots of beats but lack of harmony. Lucky they didn't ruin Fukai the last time. I actually like that one.

LIDL got a reaction from Rahzel in VK Fan Turnover rates
As for me, it is not about change of taste, but that the scene does not offer anything new and exciting anymore.
All these newer, younger bands done the same tricks and sounds that bands from my generation did already. It really feel that they do not innovate. So I seldom to take likings to newer acts, unless their music is really, really took my interest. I am still in this scene because of those late 90s and the 2000s VK bands that we are all know and love. At least those that's left, since so many already disbanded now, and largely why my last fm stats for VK msuic are very minimal in the last few years.
Some people would drift apart when they have something or someone new. But I never been that person, and never will. When I got into something or someone new, I will took liking of it, while keep my older ones along as well.

LIDL got a reaction from cullucoo in Guitarist Kenichi leaving MERRY in late 2020
I understand the sentiment, however people are dying here. It is very irresponsible to keep this going regardless. It is not worth the trouble. Proper sendoff would be nice, but to force your fans to attend for the sake of it, and most likely caused them to catch the virus in the process, since you can't expect social distancing and in a live house already with limited space, even with plastic barrier on, is very mendokusai, irresponsible and selfish. I really hope they'd rethink this. The safety of everyone, including their fans need to be priority.

LIDL reacted to Rakuen in TORU (ONE OK ROCK Gu.) has been diagnosed with coronavirus
As far as i know, i may be mistaken, but in Japan they can't force people to stay at home by force (like we had in Europe) ; they are more or less free to do whatever they want with that case. But they did have advertizing and stuff like that to wash hands, wear mask , be carefull etc...

LIDL got a reaction from Furik in Guitarist Kenichi leaving MERRY in late 2020
They really need to put this on hold. This is very irresponsible when the cases are keep rising.
Sure, Japan cases are not one of the worst, but postponing this until situation is conducive still the wisest step to take.

Inb4 the radio edit version is the one played the other day. Isn't it the trend these days for songs to be under 3 minutes so it would have replay value for streaming points? 🤑

They need to include this in their single release.
Remember when they include GDS back in the day?

LIDL reacted to Seelentau in DIR EN GREY new single 落ちた事のある空 release summer 2020
The lyrics mention the 6th August, by the way. Guess what ochita-ed from the sora that day, at 8:15 right over Hiroshima...
Now the title makes sense, I guess.

They need to fix the capitalization before that happens. And fix the band name because it annoys me.

Making all discography available world wide? No way.
Splitting one BGM into 30 parts and making it available world wide? Profit!
