  1. You're right; I forgot all about Plus-Tech! I love what I've heard of them. =]
  2. Mr.FREAKS

I'm totally going to the NYC one. =]
  3. Mr.FREAKS

I love Bring Me the Horizon. My first listen was Count Your Blessings, but I honestly like their newer material better. "It Never Ends" rocks and Suicide Season is simply amazing. The band are quite talented; I don't care about Oli Sykes or what he does outside of the music. In my opinion, the members' personalities shouldn't be a factor when deciding whether or not you like a band. Just listen to the music! =]
  4. I adore Shinjuku Gewalt. I wish it were easier to get their music, though. The same thing goes for COSMO-SHIKI and related artists. I also love FLOPPY, ADAPTER?, DENTAKU, DONG… Also, what's wrong with liking Perfume? I love them, as well as any other Nakata-related artists, haha.

Post-rock is great. I'm pretty new to the genre, but the bands that have really impressed me include Russian Circles, Mogwai, This Will Destroy You, and Pelican.
  6. Mr.FREAKS

Deftones fuckin' rock. I've been a fan since Around the Fur and they are so talented. The only album I was never able to really get into was Saturday Night Wrist.
  7. Mr.FREAKS

Thanks, but ugh, no NYC dates! Are they going to be adding anymore dates soon or is this it? If not, I'd definitely travel to Baltimore or Boston to see 'em.

I love the drumming skills of Shinya of Dir en grey, Eiji of FACT, the drummer from Rin Toshite Shigure (dunno the name), and Naoki of DEATHGAZE. As for American bands, I think Derek Bloom of From First to Last, a post-hardcore band from Florida, is amazingly underrated, as well as Francis Mark of From Autumn to Ashes, a post-hardcore band from New York City that are no longer together. Oh, and the original drummer of Norma Jean, a metalcore band from Georgia. None of these drummers get the recognition they deserve! Ah, and then there's Chris Pennie, the current drummer of Coheed & Cambria who used to destroy with The Dillinger Escape Plan…

As far as Japanese music goes, mine would definitely include… "Twentyfour Cylinders" and "Toguro" by Dir en grey "Den lille Havfrue" by 9GOATS BLACK OUT "Rasen" by Berry (far superior to lynch.'s re-recording) "Bitter…" by Ami Suzuki "Haikara Satsubatsu Haiso Zessa" by cali?gari "Shiroki Yuutsu" and "AGONY" by the GazettE "patchwork" by girugämesh ?294036224052?by DEATHGAZE "gaze" by the studs "Ringing" by -OZ- "Rakuyou" by meth. "Hi no Hikari Sae Todokanai Kono Basho De" by ?-MIYAVI- feat. SUGIZO and "ONPU-NO-TEGAMI" by ?-MIYAVI- "S.I.G" and "Sora" by UnsraW "LIES" by MEG "Gentou Sanka" by MUCC A lot of those are quite recent, but I'm not too familiar with older Japanese music. I can't get into much older music anyway, even American, haha. All of these songs never fail to make me feel good in one way or another. =]

I've never really been affected by hearing about celebrities or someone else who I never knew personally dying, but I am genuinely saddened to hear about Daisuke. I loved both kagerou and the studs; Rakushu was one of the first Japanese CDs I'd ever purchased and and hate was, if I remember correctly, one of the first Nagoya kei albums I'd ever heard. =[

They're coming right to my city! yay =D Whoa, I didn't know about that! I just got into BBS, too. TO THE LOVELESS has been on constant rotation for me; what a brilliant album.
