    Going to the NYC one.

I've been liking their newer stuff a lot more than the older songs I've heard. "Versus" made me love this band, but before that I only really liked the Bulk single and "Athena." Can't wait for their new album.

Love them I like how they mix strange with traditional Japanese music. Their latest release had a fantastic song on it but other than that it was just alright. I think I like their unsigned releases better since they sound different from each other and stray from the neo-traditional sound. They also bust out into the Tetris theme as well, which adds to the cool points.

I hope they get their act together. It seems like Juka is in a retrograde career path to be honest. I still like his voice, but usually people's bands improve as time goes on...not become more indie D: . I really liked "Divine Dot," and feel they have potential, but they need to focus more and use less castrato singing. Hopefully this new single will be great.

I think the song "Attempted Suicide" is nice because Jin doesn't sing in it. The only song I really like by them is "Quadrangle" for the pansexuality. Mmmm, mannequin sex. Other than that...I'm not really a fan of them. The vocals ruin it for me even though I like kote-I-can't-sing-at-all-kei vocals D: . Aesthetically, however, they're fucking amazing. A lot of their costumes are beautiful, colorful, and should be the envy of the modern visual industry. However, they're a band, not models, so they can't have fans that just like to look at them.

They're not really releasing material as fast as I expected them to. I know it looks like they released 43508420582082 songs, but they only have 6. I don't think Kisaki decided to make a band a few days before he announced that he was going to make a new project so he could have started planning songs and releases quite a while ago. Hopefully they go beyond the Kisaki 2-year-shelf-life curse. Ideally, I think they should release a full album in spite of Chariots and Mago. I doubt they will since singles make more money and Kisaki just loves collection albums: enough so to convince almost every band on his label to make them too (and even the ones that don't, Phantasmagoria released enough to count for them). Their costumes are great. I expect lots and lots of colorful costumes from these guys, and not the blond Aryan trend that's been going on with a lot of neo-visual bands. It seems like a lot of bands are moving away from costumes and moving towards looking like white people : / . Anyway, I rest my hopes of kote-inspired costumes on these guys and so far they're doing a good job.

I thought they were strange at first, but after a while I started to really like them. Now I'm a raving fanboy *foams*. I wish they released a bit faster than they do now (5 singles, one omnibus song, and one more single on the way in 2 years isn't all that productive...) but I enjoy their uniqueness as well as the musical risks they take. By risks I don't mean stealing from European metal. I'm not denying that they did, I really just don't care to be honest. It's not the first time it's happened and it wasn't the last time as well. I'll gladly ramble off 4 or 5 other examples of the same incident or worse. At least they "stole" from European bands instead of other visual bands to at least make it look like they didn't to non-metal fans. Also, I don't think it's fair to say they're all low-lives. Yuuze wrote it, so yell at him :C "Amentia" aside, all of their other songs are different from each other. "Seduce" has jazz influence, "Seelenheil," is a strange mixture of metal and almost folk music with pseudo-operatic vocals, "Dokuhaku no Sora" sounds inspired by Malice Mizer, and "In Paradism" is a tranquil industrial metal track with a death reggeaton ending. That's right, death reggeaton. This is what I meant by musical risks: instead of picking just one style and releasing songs like whichever one sold the best, they vary from release to release. I also think it's interesting that they use German titles instead of French. I know D has done this, along with Slovak languages, but not many more that I know of use German titles. I've grown to like Rita's voice a lot. I enjoy how he sounds when he sings and like vocalists of that grandiose style. To me he kind of sounds like a fusion of Gackt and Juka, but I think I'm the only one who draws that comparison. I think Maiyu is a great drummer, although my knowledge of drumming is pretty much "hit stuff in rhythm, I can't read music." This opinion is solely based on high school drummers though, so don't lynch me. Anyway, I noticed that a lot of indie use the same drum patterns and it gets to be a bit bland. I normally don't pay a lot of attention to drum structures until I'm very familiar with a song, but it seems like Maiyu tries to make his parts be more than a normal rhythm pattern, like in "Infinity Daze," for example. Cecir and Yuuze seem to be very experienced in the VK field having been part of 4 or 5 bands each but unfortunately I haven't had the time to check them out yet. Poor Yuuze does nearly everything now: guitar, bass, synth, and a lot of the composing. Cecir is also listed as the band's cello player, which I thought was interesting, but I don't think they've had to use that special talent as of yet. I just ordered the B-Type of "Atonality" today. I'll gladly share once my copy arrives, along with the live DVD if I can figure out how to extract the files... Has anyone bought the CDs from UC itself? I'm interested in seeing the bonus live footage too, even if it's on Youtube (no need to take up space on my external harddrive if I don't need to, non?). Wow I talk a lot D:

Okay, thank you for the info c: What's his email? I'll ask him how much it will be to order that for me; if it's going to be more than $50 in total I think I'll just have to live without the bonus dvd .__.; Unfortunately, paying for school > Music

I'm looking to import a CD but need to do so through a third party since the UCP webshop doesn't ship internationally. Does anyone know of an reliable shopping services for new releases that won't lose my order or triple the fee? The only reason I'm doing this and not using CDJapan like I normally do is because ordering through UCP gets me an extra live DVD. "It's pink. I must have it."

Really didn't feel like reading the whole anti-Apple thread, but I do think iPads are stupid. My uncle bought not one, but two of them to compete with another uncle so he can seem more technology savvy. Since I got to a tech school he expected me to be impressed but I told him it was pretty much a $300 cutting board that lights up. Oh, my 2 year old cousin threw it down the stairs and the screen split.
