Um.. Sorry to everyone I've confused, I didn't check the date of the post

Awww man! I really wish I had something to post about my former band! XD But we sucked so much that the band only lives on in memories, ancient social media profiles, and a handful of pictures from practice/meetings (and, I think, one silent video). Now imagine THAT level of suckage for a band!!!

I don't know if I agree with this statement. The "near-silent" breakdown has existed for a while and most recently dexcore. has done it in a couple songs, especially in their latest single, Dragout.

Id say they refined their sound quite a bit, I can feel the band growing its identity, structuring themselves and taking songwriting a little further, so many things NAZARE has never tried before are done here and with a bit more elegance I guess? You won't hear a breakdown like nemophilas in many bands including NAZARE THEMSELVES pre-this
 
Say trauma for example, it's Junan 2 basically, but has more to it, it's the same but going further

I'd say your career is as legit as say nazares, even if your budget and audience are smaller, you make alot of good quality content and have many albums under your belt, in fact I was thinking of asking if you were lying about being on the bands, it's pretty insane and a career isn't really validated by economic success I believe. Just so you know I will be rocking your ep for some time this quarantine, so you made me very happy and I think you can make many others happy too, you have power

Anyone else just find that quarantine has them sleeping all the time.

How many of you are pursuing a music career or are/were in a band? 
 
 

From 2007 to 2011 I played guitar in the band Dark Cherry, formed by a group of friends. We made kinda poppy emo/alternative rock/metal with electronic elements (implicitly influenced a bit by D'espairsRay, Abingdon Boys School, L'Arc and stuff like that). Home-recorded a bunch of crappy sounding demos, studio-recorded two better sounding singles and played a few dozen gigs mostly locally, it was fun.
 
From 2006 to this day I'm in a hobby/"just for fun" music project with my vocalist friend (who is also ex-Dark Cherry) under the alias The 21st Cherry Boys (the name came from BUCK-TICK's song, lol), or T21CB for short. We record stuff at home, in totally random styles that come to our mind at the moment. But usually it's some kind of silly weird pop/rock music coupled with electronics (for a while a friend of ours joined too, he played the cajon). We're doing a 12-month single release campaign this year, tho dunno how far we'll get due to the virus scare, lol.
 
We also had a short-lived project Sunshine Demons with the guitarist cousin of said vocalist friend. We recorded an EP in 2012, kind of a mixture of punk, post-hardcore and pop-rock. We also have an album's worth of unreleased and mostly unfinished tracks recorded during 2018-2019, which we are slowwwwwly working on getting finalized. So far it seems like it will have somewhat of a Latin flair in the music, and it will be a concept record telling a story about cowboys, crime, ghosts, revenge,...stuff like that, lol.
 
From 2007-ish onwards I'm also doing some solo stuff here and there under the name JigsawJohnny, but I'm super lazy so I haven't recorded that much music. Genres range from noise, industrial to hardcore, death metal, post-punk, whatever I feel like. My latest release was a dark ambient record with a dystopian cyberpunk concept last Halloween.
 
Most of the music that isn't totally terrible to listen to for even those involved can be found on Bandcamp.

Why? The composition and melody/harmony are great

Trying to figure out if I should buy it physically or just hope it makes it to iTunes Japan or otherwise.

Not that it has much competition, but this is shaping up to be the AOTY, so far...
 
Also, both Ideal and Innocence sound really chunky, this time around

Have you heard the preview of their new single "the silent one" on Twitter? They are hyping it absurdly and saying it's gonna be heavier than within the void

I like the new song, like everything in Disreign’s Discography. Great Band, great musicians and for me one of the best bands in the "western" vk-scene.
I don’t care for all the drama surrounding yohio, and i it’s difficult for him or not. i like the output of this band and i hope to hear more from them soon.

For the most part I feel the same about the album as a whole being messy (dunno if any remainder gya would dig it), but at the same time...
 
This is probably one of the more exciting things I've listened to in a loooong time and I really want them to implement a lot of what's present here in a future release. It was not exactly the songs, but those brief "woah" moments that really made the album for me. I'd get into a groove and then there's this section of weird aural fuckery that gives me the tingles, but afterwards the track might lull out. The mixing is pretty great too, though I wonder if it's b/c I'm used to muddled cheap-kei production as of late. 
 
I have a good feeling I'll be listening to this album for at least a month.
 
Brief Notes:
The chorus of "MIST" on first listen kind of gave me レイラ/nil admirari vibes (?) "Take me out in the midnight" is the most Chon-like of the tracks, and it's super fun. "Funny world" is all over the place but it absolutely works. Sounds like it would be a killer live track. "+&-" at the beginning almost felt like an iglooghost track, but abruptly turned into a trap instrumental Beiber would use (a bit of a head scratcher.) The beginning of "for the future" sounded nu-BMTH, but the rest of the track was pretty normal. "Tick Tak" is godly, especially after 2:00. There are parts of "TO FOOL" that are a fucking trip, but then "Before it's too late" goes really heavy-handed with that nu-metal-like intro. Then it's just Sho screaming with R2-D2 getting the succ in the background and it sounds fucking goooood. "out of the darkness" starts out pretty nice and then the vocals get all sensual and whispery... then just goosebumps w/ those sub bass sections w/ bonus taser noises. "Lament" ended on a super fun note.
