Maybe they just saw this April Fool's day joke and didn't look too closely at it?

Um.. Sorry to everyone I've confused, I didn't check the date of the post

  2. I got confused and thought this forums April Fool's was real, sorry for my stupidity, at least I stand out at something

Some thoughts after my first full listen to both discs.

    -It's more of the same.

-if you like their other stuff you'll enjoy this.

-It's a bit longer than it needs to be.

-The guitar starts getting so repetitive it starts to get annoying.

-Yoh should be nowhere near a mic.

-Uta's voice is suited for an Alt Rock band.

    -Issei can sing/scream/growl, etc. 🤯.

Overall, DIMLIM have nothing to worry about, even without a bassist.

Id say they refined their sound quite a bit, I can feel the band growing its identity, structuring themselves and taking songwriting a little further, so many things NAZARE has never tried before are done here and with a bit more elegance I guess? You won't hear a breakdown like nemophilas in many bands including NAZARE THEMSELVES pre-this

Say trauma for example, it's Junan 2 basically, but has more to it, it's the same but going further

Thank you so much for listening and for the kind words! I have no clue where that EP even exists, if I'm being honest (I don't even know who the person who put it on YouTube is hahahaha), but if I ever track it down I'll gladly let you know when it hits the web. Thanks again!! :D

I found it already on Facebook!!!!!!!! I'd say your career is as legit as say nazares, even if your budget and audience are smaller, you make alot of good quality content and have many albums under your belt, in fact I was thinking of asking if you were lying about being on the bands, it's pretty insane and a career isn't really validated by economic success I believe. Just so you know I will be rocking your ep for some time this quarantine, so you made me very happy and I think you can make many others happy too, you have power

I've been in a mess of bands since I was like 15 or so (at least when it comes to recorded material - probably countless more that never really did much of anything).

Was in this band for most of my teenage years/very early 20s (metalcore/post-hardcore, I guess?) -

    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vONb1m3vF7M

Started this band after that...(atmospheric screamo) -

    https://barrowband.bandcamp.com/

Played in these bands for a little while -

    https://officialweathered.bandcamp.com/ (shoegaze-influenced emo)

    https://youfolk.bandcamp.com/ (kinda psychedelic-influenced emo/alternative?)

And now I'm in this band (chaotic metal/hardcore) -

    https://rottingindirt.bandcamp.com/

I definitely miss my younger days of touring and being kind of a careless idiot, but being older and more "stable" has its perks, too, I guess. Music has always been my most consistent outlet and the one thing I used to "define" myself for the better part of my life. I feel a bit more disconnected from it now, but being able to do anything at this point feels positive, whether it's recording new stuff or playing a random local show when time permits. Haven't really ever made any money off of it, at least not in any profitable capacity, so I can't much call it a career, but the length of my involvement with it sort of makes it feel like that.

Thanks for the links. Not gonna lie I admire your work alot and I'm looking for a rip of your first ep, it sounds amazing. I'm also gonna listen to your latest band for a while because I can't decide whether or not to support you

Took a couple listens to digest, especially the slightly janky verses, but this...is good. That chorus is powerful.

If only it lasted for more than 15 seconds... The worst part of the song for me is the lack of bridges

I do wish we'd get more material like BLACK SUN APOCALYPSE, but it seems like a dream at this point. They need to focus on quality and not quantity. My guess is that their itch for fame is getting too great, hence the rapid drops of GazettE-esque electronica fusion tracks with shitty lyrics. There was an almost full year wait between the 枯れ蓮 single and the WITHIN THE VOID single.

The line between Awoken by Silence (pop boy band with DISREIGN members) and DISREIGN is getting increasingly obscured. When will Yohio realize that throwing screams in a track will not reduce the other lacking elements... Sigh. I'm actually pretty disappointed since I really liked DISREIGN's releases, and FABLE had grown on me—although not to the extent as tracks like the aforementioned BLACK SUN APOCALYPSE or WITHIN THE VOID.

As much as we like to make fun of him, it's been made at least somewhat obvious obvious that Yohio is a skilled musician and lyricist when he actually tries and takes time (even during his Hizaki copycat phase), but he's just not utilizing his talent anymore.

(Spoiler because no one asked for my lengthy input.)

The fact I'd prefer some Seremedy tracks over this says a lot LOL

Have you heard the preview of their new single "the silent one" on Twitter? They are hyping it absurdly and saying it's gonna be heavier than within the void

if you don't see 『privilege』 written all over Yohimbe sisT you'll get that reality check sooner or later, anyway you can explain the value of hard work and dedication to actual vk musicians who never get signed by major labels with zero music releases and venue bookings to their name x

nice self-insert, but most creatives figure out what they want to do artistically pretty early.

I guess that's true about the label thing but it doesn't mean that it isn't hard, it just means that he got the chance to do it, being easier doesn't mean it isn't difficult. And why shouId I read P R I V I L E G E all over, because he has daddy connections? Because he looks fragile? That's really superficial, you still don't know how much he works and if your father was a musician too, I'm sure you would find it unfair to be judged by that alone. Again I agree some have it harder than him, but all I see is prejudice honestly

Also self insert???? What's that about? I just don't have the freedom to speak for anyone but myself about how much effort one can endure, I don't know if you or my neighbor could do it, I couldn't and that's that, that's my point of view

yikes less than 300 views in a day lmaaoooo fucking rip yohio

I can't believe how this dude can't dedicate himself to any project he starts. He can obviously rip off gazette musically, sing and scream very well and design merch for himself and what have you. And despite all that, he doesn't commit to a consistent release schedule, he doesn't stick with any project he starts ( remember the girl band? remember awoken by silence? remember this oskar he was hyping on his label? actually remember his label in general? or his podcast for that matter ) By the time a nobody vk band like Jigsaw or something has put out release after release while struggling to stay alive in cut-your-hair-or-die no welfare Japan, this dude has only flexed to an ever-dwindling number of people on twitter in an attempt to become a motivational speaker or something. He's accomplished astoundingly little after the second solo album came out and it's been years. He's obviously from a rich family and definitely hasn't worked a day in his life because his malnourished manlet child-body looks like wouldn't survive a day in the cold, so why the fuck can't he get anything done when he has all the time in the world to sit on his ass and play video games? I loved second and third DISREIGN pvs so I'm just blown away how someone can be almost legit for one minute and a total flop for the remaining 59.

We have no way of knowing if he was from a rich family even if his father was a musician with a label. I agree he lost interest too quick on too many things, but it's unfair to say he doesn't work hard without enough information, he's been doing this since he was a child and I can tell you right now this is hard work for a child, at least it would be impossible for children like me

I'm not defending yohio as a person, but what you said it's just like saying "man being royalty is so perfect! You do nothing and get servants, food, a castle... Why wouldn't you want to be royalty?" being a musician is hard, running a small label is hard, managing bands is hard, doing it all at once is harder

The song came out and since nobody cares about DISREIGN I feel the freedom to post my opinion, since it's still a much better song than what I expected

The production is much better than the last single which was just generic, the guitars especially sound very good and it gives me faith in Jonil, the new guitarrist. I don't know if it's his skill or the composition but he is still light years away from Valentin (mustache guy) who also gave the band alot of personality, but still he gave back some of the soul that was missing without Valentin.

Speaking of composition it's soo boring, the chorus is the best part because it's catchy but still sounds like it's disconnected from the rest of the song, it's probably the most boring DISREIGN song to date in that regard, it's just boring and weirdly uneventful, coming from the band that made within the void and karehasu this is really sad :( I mean it still feels eventful, but more a party in a friend's house and less the apocalypse

Yohio kills it as always, his singing is extremely good and he shows a respect for visual Japanese music that I wasn't expecting; he specifically changes his singing style just to fit into that role instead of just singing in Japanese, I really appreciate that, really skilled vocalist

His screams I think are awful, much much worse than early DISREIGN, I think he is too worried about taking care of his throat which is good but makes it lack emotion. They should have distorted the shit out of him producing the song since he barely screams live anyway, just to at least make it seem less like he screams for the sake of it instead of him REALLY needing to scream from the inside. Before the atmosphere allowed for such screams because it was dark and expressive in itself, but this song isn't

Overall it's much better than what I expected, I thought DISREIGN was dead and it was just going to be metal Yohio (I don't like Yohio but I like disreign I don't know why) but at least it fits in with the other releases, even if the atmosphere is remarkably different

That synth drives me nuts though, it sounds like it's been made bad on purpose for atmosphere but then used it as a melody

I can't speak about the lyrics but they scare me. I'm of the opinion that Yohio makes really good lyrics for disreign (if a bit hypocritical) but the lyrics of awoken by silence, their other proyect, are some of the worst I have heard (even if they aren't bad overall) so the title HOAX makes me worried it's just Yohio complaining he has never done anything wrong and we are all idiots unfaithful to him, but the English line (I know what I saw!) interests me, because it's like Yohio saw the truth of something and no one believes him, not in a messiah kind of way but in a "I'm not insane, this thing is very bad" way, the line implies that he is speaking from weakness and vulnerability, and if that's the case that's always a brave thing to do. Yohio is hit-or-miss with lyrics for sure, if anyone knows Japanese and understands the song I would appreciate if you told me what its about

That's it, tias (drummer) is really pretty too, but even then, they were close to hitting a good atmosphere for me but again for me they don't really catch the imagination

Tbf piracy is a digital thing and you can buy their stuff digitally. Not being able to buy a copy physically sucks but it shouldn't be a reason you resort to pirating (doesnt apply to their live limited stuff)

When you have to spend a minimum of 30€ for a 2 song CD then it's hard not to

  12. Everyone seems to be so shocked about the new album and direction I just want them to leave y all with your jaws on the floor when it comes out (in a good way)

Beat me to it. + Who cares how old they are? What difference does that make to the music itself?

Personally I was just thinking if someone I admire like Uta is 20 years old then I spent the same amount of life time as him in doing 1/100 less for people

    My first initial thoughts:

-Intro was too long. I thought the small tonal change around 15 seconds was going to be the real start, but there's another 25 seconds of buildup after that.

-You do repeat a main theme a couple of times in the song, and perform a couple of slight variants on it here and there. However, it felt like a couple of sections were disjointed and random for the sake of diversity, rather than adding to the idea as a whole. For example, when your drum structure changes around 1:50 to be less syncopated; not a bad idea, but there's a lack of context since it happens, then shortly bleeds out of that pattern without going back to it or playing off of it again.

-You're good at writing buildup. I found myself anticipating the next section of the song because you led me to want to. However, I felt like a lot of times there wasn't significant payoff as a reward for that anticipation. (This could just be because this kind of bleak post-apocalyptic style isn't really my genre of choice. I'm trying to be objective about musical structure, rather than the content itself).

-That ending was really nice. The way the beeps build up akin to how a lot of EDM songs do their first drop, then end in a flatline was a nice touch. It shows you put some thought into how it should end, rather than just fading to grey or something less deliberate.

Thank you for your kind impressions. I think you read my thoughts making the song perfectly, so I assume you're a witch

The intro was to be even longer, but I made it shorter. It also consumed most of my pcs ram because of the many effects used for the screaming

The variations are 100% the intention I had, just variation for the sake of not being repetitive and I never really wondered what I was adding. The parts you say feel disjointed are actually the separate options I wanted to use as the main melody and drum beat for the song when I wanted to do a more hopeful melody. The idea changed but I was too lazy not to use it

I only think about the build up because I really don't know how to do anything else in any of my proyects, so the song is basically many long build ups put together, I just don't know how to do anything else

Im really happy you enjoy the ending, it's by far the best part of the song for me and the reason why I decided to make it as good as I could, just so I could live up to the ending. The song is not finished though and probably never will be because I'm lazy...

What I'm trying to say is that you read my mind with the song, your mind is really great at this. Again thank you for your answer

I do like IDEAL and INNOCENCE but I'm with you holding onto their weird compositions, remembering the first tracks we got to hear from them I think it's an important part of their appeal lol

Dont trust me on this too much but if what I got from Google translate is right, Issei said on Twitter that he will keep on making these kinds of songs because it's the brave thing to do
