    Welp, I have my first day of hospital work experience tomorrow. I'm basically going to be doing a nine-to-five job for four weeks but instead of getting an actual paycheck, I'm being bribed with Universal Credit. Wish me luck and pray I don't crap my pants out of fear!

    I don't know what I'll do until Animal Crossing: New Horizons comes out. I've known about it for a while now but the excitement only really set in yesterday and I'm way too hyped. 🍃

    Can't help but feel that makeup colour names are getting less and less creative. They're usually just something boring and flirty like "Hot Date" or "Cute Boy" or "Nice Ass" or whatever but sometimes it's just ridiculous. I was looking at an eye shadow palette in Superdrug today and the pink one was just called "Colour". Also, let's not forget the nude brown lipstick I saw called "Gordon Brown". Oh, well, at least that one was funny as fuck.

    Anyone know how to word a college dropout email? I poked around on the college website but couldn't find anything. I know who to email about it but I don't know what to say and as much as I'd like to say "peace out, nerds" or something to that effect, I can't help but think that wouldn't be very professional.

      Make it formal I guess? Idk I’m not in college but don’t make it insulting. Just say something like “I cannot continue my semester” or something along the lines.

      if you don't want to call the college admins or anything, maybe just write them an e-mail first asking what do you have to do to drop out? 

      when I was dropping out there were a bunch of forms I had to had signed before they took me off the list, like from the library and stuff~

    Well, I got into my next year of college but they said they're gonna kick me out if I don't improve by October. Yet more proof that I'm a good kid but dumb as a rock.

      College education, while valuable and enriching, doesn't determine the success or level of intelligence of an individual. Just look at people like Albert Einstein or Bill Gates who dropped out and turned out fine (heck, better than fine). In this day and age, I think it's more about what your goals are and how much work you put into achieving them. Not to discount college, but there are much more resources online now that allow people to learn just about the same content. The only difference is that it's less rigid and allow you to focus down on what you actually care about.

      Obviously, this is a general statement and it varies on what you want to do, but I think you're gonna be okay. Keep your chin up! And don't be afraid to fail. Learning from your mistakes is just as invaluable.

      I feel you. I'm in my last sem but am pretty much facing the same thing.

       

      All I can say is good luck, work hard and smart, and a college degree doesn't determine your future!  More importantly, take care of your health and finances too.

       

      (unless like me, you're stuck in a tiny country where participating in the rat race is mandatory but that's another story 😌)

       

      Also kind of ranted here, sorry!

    Okay, I am FREAKING THE FUCK OUT. Someone hacked my email and sent me an email saying they have access to everything from my computer. To prove they weren't fucking around, they even sent me my password (which I had actually changed before they sent they email as I knew I had been hacked). They told me if I don't send them $900 in bitcoin, they'll publish everything they found to fuck-knows-who. I don't have anything illegal or any nudes of me/anyone I know but I do have some private things on here that I'd rather didn't get shown to everyone and pinned to my name. Now... here's the thing. They might actually leave me alone if I pay them but I think they might do it anyways. I don't know what to do and calling the police would probably be a bit useless because this person wants dollars so they must be in a different country, so the UK police probably can't do much. Wtf do I do? Sorry if this seems a bit... odd, but I'm 100% serious and I'm actually a bit scared.

      I agree with everyone. Change your passwords, activate 2fa, tell the hacker to fuck off after you've done a scan on your pc and made sure he has no malware on your system. Dont pay.

      it's totally ok. you can ask your mh fellows for help when needed. one more thing tho, don't use public WiFi bc your online activity can be monitored/sniffed. and don't install any cracked software, and no one can harm your PC.

      one thing to ensure that they don't have your important files is they didn't show you any of your files as a proof of having access to your pc bc they don't have any to begin with.

    The Striking Tree (Extreme) in FFXIV is almost as bad as the Aurum Vale @_@ although as it's a trial, at least I don't have to go through a dungeon to get to the boss.
