    Just started watching the series, Death Parade. I'm about half way through, and I think it has an interesting premise. I'm most curious as to how it will end even though I've read that the show leaves the viewer with more questions than answers. Most anime series touch upon the subject of death, but Death Parade (as the title implies) squarely deals with this subject front-and-center. In fact, death becomes a tool, allowing the show to explore the depths of human morality in a very psychological way: Are humans innately good or bad creatures? In other respects, the series forces us to ask: What would we do in extremely and terrifying situations? Or rather, what should we do when confronted with a bizarre yet horrible experience? What happens to our minds when we're pushed to the edge? Majority of the episodes start out the following way: Two people get sent to the Quindecim and, together, the pair must play a game (bowling, darts, etc.) to decide who will win or lose. If the participants don't play, then they will face absolute death. (The whole premise is quite ironic and the outcome hardly matters. That's the real kicker.) As of now, one of my favorite episodes has to be the comical one (episode six). I know it contributes the least to the whole plot, but the episode provides a window into a different atmosphere and reveals how other arbiters handle their 'guests'. All the other episodes are equally touching and fascinating to watch, but this one flipped my expectations. It took a serious matter and handled it in a humorous manner while still diving into the heart-wrenching emotions of each participant. Aside from the animation, I admire the writing, which can handle the topic of death with solemnity and levity. Death Parade manages to dig deep into the human psyche and make us question as to what exactly entails a human being. At the same time, it doesn't fail to be cracking hilarious. There are some shows where the tone sails one way, but Death Parade is one - so far - that has legitimately made me feel empathy and hilarity without any restraint. Sadly, I can't help but sense that the other characters who work in Quindecim (besides the main pairing) will get shortchanged - as far as character development is concerned - because of how short the series is. But I'll be patiently waiting to see otherwise. I'm not an animator or artist by any stretch, but I like the animation quality especially during the fighting sequence between Viginti and Decim - that was beautiful. I didn't expect Death Parade to have an action scene, but I was left in my seat with wanting more. The music is great, too. I've read that lots of people enjoyed the opening, and it's definitely got an upbeat, fun quality despite the overall somber inflection within the show. (Whoa, I wrote way too much o_o; I'm going to stop now and finish watching the rest of the series XD)

    I think I read somewhere that Gara's favorite subject in school was Japanese history so maybe that accounts for the political/deep lyrics he writes? I like how much of the lyrics are wrapped in Japanese history and/or social issues. I'm always quite impressed with the lyrics he writes.

    Um, yikes. Everyone in the short music video clip looks insanely bored. Btw, is there any news of Meto after that singing session he had way back?

    Same here! I still get lost with Google Maps especially when I don't know the area so well ;w; The Tekesuta Kousen video was so cute when they were trying to find Miku (in Harajuku, I think?). Yes! It was so interesting (and funny) to see them dressed up as Japanese school girls in the Itai Onna video~ Although I couldn't find the full video online 😢 Mousou momo Sorosoro is a super catchy fun song to listen to! It reminds me of Ayabie's Cubic [L/R]ock song. Although, I couldn't find the translation for Mousou anywhere. Does it exist somewhere? I feel the same way! It's hard to narrow down which are the favorite songs since so many of them are good ;w;

    They are somewhat different from DIV, but I still enjoy their music nonetheless. Their newest album was pretty good, too. It reminds me of when someone was looking up picture of Jrock bands, and a picture of Versailles came up. I tried to hide my excitement, but they're just too awesome and I couldn't help it XD They looked at me funnily, but um, oh well ^^; They deserve all the love. No problem~ I'll like your post in the meantime ^^v

    I missed seeing Vidoll when they toured overseas. I hadn't even known about them at the time, but I still regret not going (or knowing about it) since they disbanded a couple of years afterwards.

    Can't argue there about his look Right? I love listening to him live because of his amazing vocals. Those are all really good song choices! I was just listening to Lost November on repeat, too. It's a sad song, but I still love it a lot. I feel the same way. Picking a definite favorite is quite difficult because lots of their songs are fantastic. Some favorites are Terrors, Dictator, Imperial Core, Lost November, Kesshou, Sirius, Taido, and many more (That wasn't a short list either ^^;) Also, I saw you listen to DIV. Have you given Chisa's new band, ACME, a shot yet?

    Same here. I've been listening to lots of Diaura lately. They create some phenomenal music and Yo-ka's voice is wonderful to listen to. Do you have any favorite songs/albums by them?

    D'espairsRays: They created a certain dark, depressive rock sound that is unique. There are some VK bands that borrow elements from their music, but it isn't quite the same as the songs D'espairsRays created. Furthermore, Hizumi's vocals were quite distinct and his voice was able to bring out that heavy music from D'espairsRays. Sadly, for obvious reasons, they won't be coming back, but they made some great stuff.

    Also, I read somewhere that Tora from Alice Nine was apparently born on 1980/81 (not sure which one), so I guess that makes him 37/38 this year.

    Wow, what was the highest price that the CD was being sold for?

    I remember Mao (Sadie, the Thirteen) went to study in England some time ago. Not sure if he still studies or practices English though.

    I once read somewhere that Rame was apparently born in 1978. If my math is correct, I think he would be 40 this year.

    I also listened to their songs in YouTube for the longest time, too! I completely understand about the lives. When bands come tour the country I live in, it’s usually in big metropolitan cities - too far away from where I live, so I can’t go regardless Escapism is such a good song, too I really love the songs they released with Bou ^^ Yes, and they’re very interested in foreigners, so I find there’s no need to be shy (despite the language barrier).

    It sounds like as long as you spend 1,500 yen or over online, then you would still be able to get it. It's also stated that shipping charges are not included in the total amount to get the omnibus album. Source: http://ktai.la-edison.com/pc/Halloween2018.html
