    Thought of this song~

    There are some good Chinese dishes without any meat, and some of it is pure deliciousness! I really enjoy Chinese and Vietnamese foods. There are so much flavor, spices, and ingredients that it's hard to get bored, eating the variety of cuisines. My mouth waters thinking about steamed vermicelli rolls, roast pork belly, peking duck, ma po tofu (spicy tofu with meat - it's super good!), chicken curry, banh mi, pho (with all of its variations), and fresh spring roll/rice paper roll. I also like Japanese foods (no surprise) with tempura, yakisoba, and okonomiyaki being some of my favorites. I've had less chances to eat Korean and Thai foods, but I've enjoyed what I've tried. I think there's a joke around my house where we say that to have a proper Asian meal, you must always have rice, lol. I've also eaten Indian and Nepalese food and liked it, but I've had less opportunities to eat these. The same also goes with African food - the stuff I've tried out is really good. With that said, I also have a weak spot for European and North American dishes. Pasta, ice cream, chocolate, and the list goes on I guess I pretty much like to eat/try out anything as I think there's always something fascinating and interesting about foods 😅

    It's been ten great years of listening to more J-rock/VK! The list was what I could think think of. It's in no particular order. Put it under a spoiler cut since it got a bit long ^^;

    I started watching Demon Slayers, and I'm enjoying the plot so far. I'm interested in the strong bond that Tanjirou and Nezuko share, and I also like Tanjirou's character. I can't wait to see what kind of role the supporting cast/side characters will play. Picked up Fruits Basket (the remake) since I remember watching the original anime many years ago. I'm curious to see how this new one will turn out, considering the anime technically never finished the plot as the manga was still ongoing at the time. Sad to hear that the new Inuyasha anime is turning out to be more fanservice than actual story plot, though.
  5. Happy birthday, @Triangle!! Hope you have an awesome day~ ❤️

    Sounds good! Love Mikoto's voice~ ❤️

    Haha, no worries~ I'd love to hear your thoughts on it once you start digging into the routes! Yes, he is~! I already thought he looked cool from his picture, but I had no idea how how much of a cute dork (and history buff) he'd be XP But all of the characters in the game are great. I have a hard time picking which one I like best, lol.

    Ooh, cool! Yeah, the artwork is gorgeous and the story is really good~ I love how mischievous Kuroyuki can be and how hilarious (and handsome, lol) Goemon is. Whose route(s) have you played so far? ^^ I ended up really liking Gekkamaru, haha. I think I'm a sucker for those types of characters XD Aw, thanks~ ❤️ Haha, it seems to be XP And I love yours, too! I was surprised by how much of a loveable dork Mineo turned out to be His route was super funny and light-hearted; gave me the fluffy feels all over, haha.

    Sadly, I haven't listened to much Plastic Tree, but after listening to this song, I think I've been sleeping on them for too long. It's a really nice song!

    Recently started watching the Chinese drama, The World Owes Me a First Love. It's starting out quite hilarious and the dynamic of the main duo is really good. I'm also in the middle of watching Tunnel, which is a Korean mystery/detective drama. I love the time skip concept and how the main character sees how the "future" turned out for those he knew in the past. The story of what happens to his wife is so sad, though 😭

    Recently been on an otome game binge, replaying some older ones and newer ones that I missed over the years (Hakouki, Code Realize, Collar x Malice, Nightshade, etc.) ~ I forgot how beautiful the artwork can be in these games; it's always such a treat! Not to mention the voicework is always superb. Overcooked 2 - I've been playing it with a friend, and the levels are super fun and challenge. Trying to get that four star ranking can be quite stressful at times Fire Emblem: Path of Radiance - The days when there was only permadeath for all characters. I ended up restarting some of the maps several times when one of the characters died, lol. Chapter 17 was super grueling with its four stages ^^;

    I usually use my desktop as I find it easier to look at the forum. I tend to also look at the browser version of a website if I can. I find it difficult to browse on my phone with how small and compressed things can look on there.

    Five feels too little, lol. In no particular order: Kagrra, Versailles Vidoll Diaura Jiluka
  14. Ah!! I'm super sorry for missing your birthday yesterday 😭

    Happy (belated) birthday! Hope you had a fantastic day :)

      No worries, and thank you very much! I hope today is just as good as yesterday 💞

  15. monkeybanana4

    Haha, like @Total Saikou, I'm somewhat new so we don't really know each other but welcome back! And otomate games have also been eating up a huge chunk of my life, haha. Currently, playing some older ones, but there's a lot of new ones that are so good, and I want to play it all, haha Edit: Also followed you on Lastfm~ ^^

    Unfortunately, I don't watch anime as much these days, but I still enjoy going back to watch old seasons or series I've missed in the past. I've watched some newer ones on occasions. I think I first began watching anime with DBZ and Pokemon. Time flies! Choosing a top five is tough! There's a lot I like watching even if it's just for nostalgia or something else. If I had to choose (in no particular order): Yu Yu Hakusho - Love this series. Comedy was hilarious, and the dynamic between the characters are unforgettable. Trigun - It's got 90s animation all over it, but I highly enjoy the plot. The goofiness combined with the dark depth underneath made for a great combination. Ranma 1/2 - Extremely funny and the whole gender-bending "issue" made all of it even better. .hack//sign - Virtual world gaming, but with a whole lot of psychological issues and other serious elements Death Note - Interesting concepts of Death Gods and the Death Note. The two opposite rivals was neat, too. Honorable Mentions (if my list of favorites could be even longer XP): Inuyasha - The plot and the characters were great, but there was way too much filler towards the end in the original series ^^; Wolf's Rain Evangelion Saiunkoku Monogatari Fushigi Yuugi Akatsuki no Yona Rurouni Kenshin - I'd say the whole series, but it's been too long since I last watched it. I distinctly remember the Shishio arc, though. FMA - Sadly, I've only watched the original one. But I've heard the Botherhood series is really good. I need to watch that someday to compare, lol. Fate/Zero Mai-Hime - Starts off silly and nonsensical, but it gets quite serious towards the latter half of the series. Love the music in this one.
  17. monkeybanana4

    Ah, so you chose the Blue Lions first? I did that as well, haha XD I ended up liking all the characters in the group. I think Dimitri is a super interesting character. It’s hard to not like him, lol XP
  18. monkeybanana4

    Yeah! I'll definitely let you know ^^ I'm super hooked to the series now, so it's on the playlist for sure, lol. And I'd be super curious to know your thoughts on the REmake if/when you get a chance to play it! Agreed! I also think it heavily influenced (or at least made popular) the over-the-shoulder view in action shooting games (implemented in games like the Remakes). But yeah, let's hope that remake doesn't come too soon if it's happening ^^;
  19. monkeybanana4

    Finally managed to finish RE2 Remake earlier this year. It was a blast to play through. Hardcore mode was tough with a limited inventory space and ammo. Now, I really want to play the original one to see how it compares RE3 Remake was enjoyable, but I think there was potential for the game to be even better than what was released. That being said, I love the graphics and the new character designs in this one! Picked up Spiderman (Insomniac). This game made me fall in love with traversing across the "world" within the videogame. Being able to websling around the city was cathartic and highly exciting. The voice acting felt solid, and the graphics look great. Currently playing through RE4. While it's more action-oriented, it's absolutely super crazy, but insanely fun, and I love every moment of it. I wonder if the rumors of a remake for this game are true. Not sure how I'd feel about if it was for real.

    I also update my collection in an excel file sheet. Although, I've fallen a bit behind on updating it ^^; As for my VK collection: CDs: 320+ (Approximate amount; including comment CDs) - I also have a random assortment of non-VK CDs, but I'm not sure of the exact amount since they're stuck elsewhere. But probably about 100+ if I had to estimate. DVDs: 100+ (including comment DVDs, couldn't get an exact amount since I don't have all of it on me) Chekis: 275+ (there's more but some aren't with me) As for magazines/photobooks/pamphlets, I'm not sure of the exact amount but probably somewhere around 50. (I need to still catalogue these one day, lol.) And for flyers, posters, and photosets/photocards, I also have a bunch that I've collected, but I'm too lazy to count it 😅

    I love these VK PVs/MVs for their bright, colorful and somewhat goofy aesthetics. DIV - Taste of Life SuG - Gr8 story Kyary Pamyu Pamyu - Pon Pon Pon - This one isn't VK, but it's also got colorful, bright, and silly aesthetics. Not to mention it was everywhere at the time, so it's permanently stuck in my head. There's always something very aesthetically beautiful about Moran's PVs that I always admire. My favorite in particular is this one: Moran - 春の夜の、ひと雫 - It uses computer graphics (I believe?), so the scenery isn't shot in real life, but I think the artistry of it perfectly fits the heartfelt ballad. And my nostalgia enjoys the dark aesthetics and random black and white footage in the Reddish PV by Despairs Ray even though it's just them mainly playing in front of the camera. Vidoll - I my aimai - Couldn't find a better quality sadly, but the crazy and chaotic way it is shot is just my cup of tea for early to mid 2000s VK. Props to it being filmed in broad daylight in some random outside areas. Kagrra, - Kotodama - The effects (i.e. water ripples) and aesthetics help add to the overall dark themes contained within the lyrics.

    Oh, same here! Wailing Wall is another one of my favorite songs by them. I still loved them, but yeah, I agree. I was sad about the direction they were taking (music wise) by the end of their career. At least they left us with some great songs, though!
