When you have such an amazing drummer like that, the minimum is to make him record his drums parts on a good e-drums. Even if they go to a recording studio, i'm sure in 4 hours rent he would finish an album.

But this kind of drums sound  they did became the new standard. It's boring because all the metalhead seems crazy for this overcompressed and inhuman kind of drums sound

I will have to agree with most of what you just said. At this point it's all about how long you can endure the same sound over and over again - vocalist included. So far so good to me...

Those guys are hard-working uh? Change of Generation wasn't that long ago and IIRC they actually released an acoustic album and some remake of their touhou stuff after that? I really liked the japanese-folky song with the japanese name, it is a very interesting change of pace from the rest of their stuff. They do the overly bombastic symphonic power metal thing very well, but it just becomes pretty stale after a while, so it's interesting to hear them mixing those sounds with a more modern metal sinfluence. Not sure about the previews since those are probably choruses (which are usually the more power metally parts of their songs) but I still hope they include some other influences in their music.

I won't lie but as much as Fuki is pretty much perfect vocally wise, once you heard one recent song by her, you've listened to them all. Haven't heard any recent vocal performance by her that truly stood out. Everything has the same big ass vibrato-laden notes in the same range and tbh her voice has been sounding a tad lower nowadays and her vibrato sometimes sounds a bit uncontrolled (as evidenced by the last track).  I don't blame her for getting older, and you need to acknowledge she still performs ato an absurdly high stake degree, but the impact of hearing her vocal performances nowadays is considerably lower compared to something like Light Bringer's Resistance from 2010, for instance.  I don't like the song much, but the track at 2:02 is interesting to hear from a vocal standpoint, her "j-poppy" voice is pretty cool for a change. Her low register and her operatic head voice could really be explored more IMO (oddly she used those voices much more during the pre-2010 Light Bringer albums when she still hadn't found her voice yet). Cool to hear Hirano's growls improving so much lately too.

Yeah I was expecting much worse. Well, the song has a lot going on and it's as such pretty hard to absorb in a few listens, but it's kinda cool. Of course if it wasn't by the heavy elements I wouldn't even give a listen to the band, and as such seeing them ditching the heavy elements is a bit underwhelming, but I always thought they were very good at writing poppy, memorable stuff (actually the first time I heard Chedoara it was exactly the softer parts that stood out the most to me) so I don't think everything is lost. I agree the song is a bit derivative (isn't all VK though) and I feel like they've really betting all slots in this mathy clean guitar kind of sound that has been absolutely blowing up lately (see Ichika Nito and all that) so it doesn't have that strong of a first impact as something like "Vanitas" or "Shigarami" (or even "Aharewata" for that matter, as much as I hate that song), but is definitely a grower. The production is good but I wish I could pick Sho's vocal harmonies on the chorus better.

Haven't heard the itunes samples and I don't think I can either tbh so don't have anything to say about anything else. 2 SEs are absolutely unnecessary though

I think some people are missing the meaning of "conceptual" in the " MISC is a conceptual album" sentence.

I mean, of course it's different from CHE DO A RA, shouldn't it be?

And this notable confusion of directions, mixed bunch of ideas being throwed around would actually fit the concept of MISC., as in short of Miscellaneous, right?

I'm pretty excited for this, is shaping to be a pretty interesting experience

The "deathcore" style done in a good way (emphasis on done in a good way) is what I see the majority of people want to hear
(as in most oversea fans (I do know in the idk 10 years you state your dislike for it that you arent one of those ), I feel japanese fans seem not care how a band sounds as long as it sounds 'good' and focus more on the bandmember look/behavior)
The harsher/darker style done in a really good way in vk (that isnt dir) seems always missing in the scene since the bands doing it well enough change to a style that is, as you already wrote, done to death. Still good music, just creating a void again and forces people to listen to those 2nd, 3rd tier shit like Nazare etc.

They dezertified themselves but at the same time got more wanky, and it works. I don’t know if I will care about an album of that but they definitely did not embarrass themselves. A bit worried about the other songs but this one is just as good as anything they did before imo

Appreciating the song more with each listen and man, Sho is pretty much the best vocalist the scene has produced in the last decade, he is improving so fast

i'd  much, MUCH rather take this noodly math rock stuff over deathcore any day of the week for sure, so from that POV i'm definitely not as disappointed with the samples as I could've been (plus I'm somewhat glad we didnt get any xXx_sadboigoth_xXx shit thrown at us, as unintentionally hilarious as that would've been).. At the same time, anyone who's ever listened to even a bit of non-vk j-indie probably knows this particular brand of pop math rock sound has already been done to death in that scene  to about the same extent the nu-VK scene's dredged the swamp of mediocre xxxcore-influenced sounds, so I can't really see this ending up being anything other than yet another album to add to the ''vaguely sounds like cinema staff/sokoninaru/the cabs/tricot'' pile based on the samples.

The song is good on its own.

it's there on maybe 2 songs (before it's too late sounds like that shitty heavy track from kidoiaraku, a bit more polished).

judging by the previews this might be the most redundant, the most bloated, the most self-aggrandizing piece of shit album this scene has sharted out in a long while,
Retsu's annoying social media BS really only adds insult to injury. there're really only like 3 good songs on the whole CD, and 6 variations of the same lighter new track draft they ended up recycling into a full-length.

I'm FUCKING digging this. Excellent mix of poppy J-rock and today's metal progressive sounds, while at the same time keeps delivering Dimlim's trademark sound.

Bonus points for Sho's look! The VK vibe's still there untouched!

Dimlim have beepbooping and doing weird time signatures//structures for a while now so I don't get the complaints. It's what they do. There's a method to their chaotic songwriting imo, it doesn't sound incoherent.

it def sounds like rijin's retarded mainstream sisTer, the lobotomy on the autotuned sanging parts is unreal,
the lack of remotely cohesive style within a 4 minute song is something else too

for a band that has been steadily regressing since the silent song they're doing well tho x

kuyashii got a reaction from Saga in Dr.壱世 (Issei) (ex-DIMLIM) new band "NAZARE" has formed
You know, the album is nowhere the trainwreck I was expecting! Those are just my impressions from a first listen.

Let me start with the biggest problem: Mio's singing. He is trying WAY TOO HARD to sing in a range he doesn't have. He is indeed a very good screamer (he's way better than Sho when he started out, he doesn't overabuse inhales and is overall more versatile) but for now his clean voice is making me have a harder time enjoying the music. Maybe he can go under an impressive improvement like Sho did, but who knows?

While there is recently a whole wave of VK bands that put A WHOLE LOT of emphasis on musicianship sometimes to the expense of songwriting, I feel like the musicianship is not only capable but also used in a way it doesn't try to compensate for bad songwriting (different to something like Jiluka's lastest album which is nearly unlistenable). Despite the over-triggered drum sound that doesn't make him much favor, Issei is indeed a good drummer and way more capable than the repetitive machine gun double bass blasting I've heard in a lot of his stuff would indicate. The bass-heavy production renders the music a bit messy, and it doesn't help that their sound is very layered (with lots of guitar leads, vocal harmonies, orchestral and electronic instrumentation), so the mix is kinda muddy (I had wishes of DeG going for 8-strings before but this album reminded me that with their awful production values of late, the music would sound like a total mess).

The songwriting is all over the place (there are proggy pieces, the all-out aggressive stuff in line with the promotional singles, synth-heavy "anthemic" live-oriented stuff, ballads here and there) pretty much like early Dimlim, but I consider it to be a slight improvement over something like Various (sorry, but I really dislike it). One of the biggest complains is the abundance of synth sounds that a lot of times subtract more than add to the song (not to mention how they clutter the mix even further). Couldn't care less about the anime ED ballads though and the unabashedly "live-oriented" songs with all the gang vocals and call-and-response bits don't do much for me either.

My favorite tracks were "Judas" (which sadly suffers from some of the worst vocals of the album), "unknown" and "Blink".

I don’t like all the synth work in the background. Also think Nero needs to work on his phrasing. A lot of the lines sound really awkward against the music
