Also, be glad you don't live in Saudi Arabia where they're still executing people for witchcraft 😵
  2. secret_no_03

Yeah it's not going anywhere, but at least it was civilized.
  3. secret_no_03

Just making sure, there's some crazies who think all Japanese should repent for things their great grandparents did. 👌
  4. secret_no_03

Japan, the Japanese police force or the Japanese government because those are three entirely separate things. The citizens of Japan don't have any sins to atone nor do any people of any country that are just living their daily lives. This whole thing about a pseudo-religiousity and all of us alive now have sins because of what our ancestors did is ridiculous. If you're talking about the strong armed and kangaroo court system of law in Japan that's fine, same with you inept governmental bodies, but your everyday Japanese citizen has nothing to feel bad about.
  5. secret_no_03

Yes it is, but don't move to a foreign country and expect to be accepted, integrated and to feel like one of them. You could live your entire life in Japan or anywhere else and never been seen as one of them because you aren't the same race, but a discussion on racism in Japan isn't a constructive one. I'll leave it at that.
  6. secret_no_03

Japan is a homogeneous country, anyone not Japanese will be singled out, especially those of mixed race. The people protesting in Japan are lucky that the police force there is trained in restraint and don't go around beating protesters with batons. I said white people the majority of foreigners living in Japan are from European or north American countries besides the huge demo of Brazilian Japanese. Protest all you want, but also be man/woman/xur enough to accept the consequences and the blowback.

How would a BLM rally being led by blacks a bad thing? A BLM rally led by whites would be a bad thing, and gaijin leading a rally about police brutality is just asking for even harsher treatment. The nail that sticks out gets hammered down, especially foreigners. Honestly being a non-japanese in Japan gives white people perspective on how it is to be black pretty much everywhere outside of African and afro Caribbean countries. You'd be fucked over by cops in any country you're living that you're not a native of.
  9. secret_no_03

As far as stuff not mentioned here, I'm a big fan of Roses of Dead Essences, Libido, ALLERGY, and silenthead.

It'd get them more money in theory if bands start releasing tracks as singles rather than charging a flat rate for an album. I mean not in this case since they're $.99 each, but if they released them over a dollar they would get more than the $13 you usually see albums for on iTunes.
  11. secret_no_03

I feel like I'll have to buy every single and the full album just to have it all. I mean they might want to have some album exclusives to make it worth buying, unless they're literally releasing the album track by track and that's it?
  12. Having a lot of trouble finding what releases SEX ANDROID had (the one by Gilly from Phaidia, not the vk band.)

The various artists CD Haunted House came out with last year featuring some really unknown bands like Jacob's Ladder, Liquid Butterfly and P'oison D'hermès called Kaamathustra. It's around $90 USD on Mercari, but no shopping service will touch it, always says we cannot proceed with this order.

I grew up in the era of nu-metal, then through anime discovered J-Rock and through J-Rock happened upon J-Metal and VK. I was into VK for a good 5 years before the world of Japanese hip hop ensnared me and I stayed with that for probably 5 more years until I came back to VK. My musical tastes are cyclical, I'll listen to something for a while, then onto the next thing, but it's always Japanese, never American or Kpop or anything like that. These days I find myself into the goth and nuwave Japan has to offer and VK is the last thing on my mind as I've replaced the VK on my phone with the likes of Auto-Mod, Roses of Dead Essences, SPEECIES, XA-VAT, ZIZ, Etc. VK is in my blood however and all it will take is a band I care about to bring me back in and the cycle will start all over again. I've never understood the appeal of KPOP, and it's not a language barrier because I loved TRAX and I used to be a big fan of Se7en and Rain, but KPOP is just way too fucking popular, from what I've seen on Twitter it's a fan base of gen Z trolls and it's cringe as fuck and it seems to be based on pushing merch even more than VK and who the hell can keep up with all of these giant groups members anyway? That guy stole the blue hair idea from KOHH first as well. *Old man rant over*
  15. Took two days, but I've finally managed to track down every Ishii release from cali≠gari including all of the numbers, ≠, both #'s and the latest two about hernias and rain. Phew 🥱

Don't take it personally, the more active you are the more you'll be accepted and integrated into the hive mind.

On a side note, I've been wondering for two years what the speaker is on the chat box, how it works and what muting it does. It makes me think people can talk or something. And another thing, I looked everywhere and can't find how user levels work, is it based on how long you've been here, your points or your post count?
  21. secret_no_03

You can? That's news to me, wouldn't begin to know how to do that. Also, I guess the ability to ignore topics sounds like an interesting little wrinkle, that way you don't have to mark forum as read all of the time when there's stuff you're not interested in that has new posts.
  22. secret_no_03

The ability to be able to do this in general besides status updates seems like it'd be a very popular move.
  23. secret_no_03

Tunecore is such a good platform, glad more bands are adopting it.
