Oh god this is where my fangirl fantasies unleash but, I would totally hang out with Yukke (after I mentally prepare myself and hyperventilate the whole day). We'd go out and have brunch at a cute cafe and eat pancakes. Then go in Nakano to look at wigs and old anime figurines. And then go into a karaoke and just sing v-kei and k-pop until we run out of breath. And maybe go to a Korean bbq place together and just gossip and get drunk over soju. That's it. I would be a happy woman for the rest of my life after.   
 

Well, studying Japanese in uni as a major helped me have a base where to start from, but really everything I've learned for me to have a decent conversation in Japanese was somehow through shows and dramas. I used to not like Japanese dramas and variety shows that much but, since I pick up a language better if I listen, I kinda force myself to like it, to find positive stuffs in it. And it worked, I have my stack of dramas and variety shows I enjoy watching.
And really everything else I've done to learn Japanese was because I started listening to MUCC and all the videos I'd find were not translated in English, so I had to learn Japanese fast to understand what was happening, and to read their tweets (the gold nuggets vkey has are fantastic XD) and to try to understand their lyrics. I also use dictionaries a lot ( I have two apps on my iPhone : imiwa and one that's just called "Japanese" - it's by renzo inc.) and whenever I hear or see a word I don't know I look it up.
Also, for me, interacting with Japanese people was more than helpful. In my uni some Japanese people would come to study, we had  native teachers and some guests at our lectures, but really what worked for me in terms of actually having the courage to open up a conversation even if my Japanese is broken was interacting with people over Twitter who like the same bands I do, or share the same hobbies, or who are interested in other foreign cultures ( maybe not all of them XD).
And finally studying in Japan was really the best for me. Obviously if you go to the country whose language you're learning and stay there a while you pick up the language faster, so if any of you has the opportunity to get a scholarship or study abroad in Japan, if you can and have time there, I highly recommend finding a part-time job ( I know, duuuh captain obvious XD). It really helped me being forced to only speak Japanese as my coworkers didn't  know any other language I knew, also interacting with random people ( I worked at restaurant as a server) made me less shy to speak Japanese. Don't ever be ashamed if you make a mistake, you learn as you go, just try talking, even if you sound broken. And if you find people who make fun of you for speaking broken Japanese, don't waste your time with idiots like them ( just like every situation in general XD).

I have SO many favorite MVs, but I think I the ones that I will list below are some that I are my all times favorite and the dearest to me.

Looking back, I miss sweaty lives and people getting into each other’s business 😂. The MV adds up to the overall energetic vibe of the song! 
 
MUCC - 睡蓮

My boys literally put up an application form for everyone who wanted to join in the MV and also called some amazing dancers and performers!! This MV took my whole heart 💕. Proud to be a 夢烏 😌. 
 
DEZERT - 変態

I’m not sure how much the MV relates with the song but, they’re in a place, Chiaki is wearing a skirt, THERE IS AN ADORABLE CAT, what else do you want? Perfection 🥺💕.
 
MERRY - 千代田線デモクラシー
I mean this MV is food for the thought a lot. It really shows you the story the lyrics are telling and it makes some strong yet subtle statements and that’s what I love about Merry.
 
MERRY - Happy Life
One of my favorite songs from them is this and the MV is equally beautiful. “I don’t care what you think, I will do my best even if you throw tomatoes at me” seems to be the appropriate vibe given the lyrics of the song. I love it and I’m here for it. Though Gara mentioned that originally this MV was supposed to be shot outside, but the weather gone bad so they had to relocate in a school gym. And afterwards had to clean up all the mess they’ve made 😂. 

Pleaseeee I’ve been crying for two days already when I got the e-mail from the fanclub 😭😭. Never in my life I’d think I would see “important announcement” from MUCC and get scared and want to burn the e-mail. 
This band has done so much for my heart, has given me a solid reason to continue giving my best and the fact that one of the members decided to go on his own path saddens me so much, but at the same time I can only respect his decision. It wasn’t a sudden one, this man has been thinking about it and finally talked with the members in May 😭. Satochi seems like such a bright happy soul, but when I read in their book and other interviews how he’s dealt with suicidal thoughts and all that and yet still managed to be such a great musician, makes me so proud as a fan. I can only support them all and continue to love this band. 

It looks like we have a clear winner, but I'll let the poll run over till the weekend at least.
 
Next trade off will probably  be one where we assign each other themes because I really like that idea too
 

Member leaves band  after 23 years and retires from music and instead of people lamenting that it's just a bunch of shit posts trashing him and the band. I don't get it... Well, actually I kinda do since some of you are a gimmick/act at this point. Just way too damn negative. 
 
Anyway... Surreal news because I was listening to their earlier stuff like 2 days ago and looking at their earlier photo shoots and those really young pics of them in the AISHUU booklet and thought to myself holy shit these guys have longevity.  I was appreciating how they've stuck together over the years and then I wake up to this news today. What a coincidence.
 
2020 has been wild between Kenichi leaving Merry, Ryo leaving Baroque and retiring from music, and now this latest succession and retirement... Like, what is he going to do now? I'm surprised he's leaving music entirely.

I'm glad he will never read this thread because some comments here make me uncomfortable. After 23 years of activity in a band so productive, he deserve a little bit of respect. These 4 guys were one of the best band during live shows, it's not about being a " technical drummer " or things like that. It's about emotion and alchemy between members. And I think most people who have seen them live would agree.
 

I remember when they did their late night radio show with only Chiaki in the studio and the others at home, and he played this random song he said he’d composed for that time. Turns out they went on and released it 😭💕. I love the lyrics so much, it’s such a good song! 
The live from Monday started with Your Song and it was such a great choice 💕.

Actually bearable music, check. Doubles as an idol and seiyuu, check. TECHNOLOGY, check. Can't really point any flaws. Guess that's where years of j-pop and k-pop took us. I'm fine with this

It seems like they leave the videos there for a while but then I guess they delete the old ones and leave only the summaries. I wish I had been faster enough to save Yuu's guitar videos as well. The summaries are fun to watch too. This one is my favorite because I love this album ❤️.
 
 
Same! ;A; I wish I had the chance to see them with Kenichi live. 
But, I try to catch their livestreams everyday and tune in as much as I can. They're really relaxing and I love them for the hard work they put in both music and reaching out to fans even during awful times.  Their channel is packed with so much and no matter how many times I watch their videos I find myself enjoying their energy more and more. 
I hope we will be able to see them live with Kenichi one day, even if it's just a special performance ;A; ❤️ !!

I've known about Merry for like years but never really thought of diving too deep in their music. They did so many taibans and colbas with MUCC and I kinda just knew they were awesome, have listened to few songs, but that was about it. Until like this year.
BUT BOI! Their livestreams got me hyped and so happy and now I literally went from 0 to Core in like few days XD. 
The izakaya Merry is my favorite one, but also every Yuu/Zaku sama streams are so good! I'm so happy they're like fully in my life now XD.

Yes! On their nico nama livestream they did for MUCC day they showed a promotional video for the album and it was like a 1 minute MV for Self Hate so, the full one should be released too one day 😭

Oh man Super Hero is so good ;A;! I loved every second of it and the live version was such an experience! I hope I will get to hear and see the performances of each song on this album at a future concert (hopefully the situation will be better in the world and I can safely travel to Japan in December <3).
Friday the 13th is such a tune for me <3! I love the glissando parts so much, even though Tooru did say this song takes up a lot of energy when playing it heheh. I would love to hear it at a irl concert! 
Kurage is also another song that I love very much on this album. Tooru's magic worked very well with the lyrics. I love that it has this old school anime ending vibe <3.
Kamikaze Over Drive ahhhh, this is such a perfect song for an outdoor live! Satochi's songs always bring me so much energy. I listen to this song a lot when I need some motivation for the day!
CRACK was the one that I knew I would love from the first few seconds in the album medley! I like the Miya and Tatsuro duets a lot! It's a great tune that I cannot wait to head bang on!
Amelia is already amazing and I never expected to get a remixed version of it, but I don't mind! I love the lyrics of this song, it's very Miya-ish XD. The live version is my favorite sksdjksda I miss the aggressive furis we did on this ;A;.
COBALT is a winter song that I find it hard to listen to in the hot summer, but, I still love it so much. I'm glad they included it on a cd album! When I saw them live last year I got this song played at every live I went to and it's a very dear to me song <3.
SANDMAN is another beautiful one. The Miya and Tatsuro duet is everything I wanted in life ahhh, so good and the guitar is basically on fire. I love this for me!
Memai!! Can we get another COMMUNE happening ;A;?? I need a Hazuki and Tatsuro live performance of this song! I love the "AAAAAA" parts so much ;A:!! The instrumental is beautiful, I can't get enough of this song!
DEAD or ALIVE omggggg! Yukke's bass cleansed my soul. I love the first few seconds of the song where the soft piano is playing and Tatsuro's gentle voice comes in <3. I need more Tooru colabs in the future as well.
SELF HATE YES!! I got so used with the demo version I forgot there has to be a final version coming in XD. This song is the catchiest from the whole album imo. I love how Miya wrote it in a day when he was hungover and tried to express those hungover feelings in a song as a joke, but it ended up becoming one of the songs that are loved at any live. Also the performance on stage! It's different every time and it makes the experience so much more special. I'm waiting for the full MV ;A;!
Alpha is that song that I can totally see with a whole orchestra on stage! It reminds me of Polaris so much, it took me a while to listen to it without sobbing. The violin !!! ;A; Gosjaks I love it! The instrumental and Tatsuro's gentle voice go so well !
My WORLD is another Satochi tune that he wrote for the birthday live last year and, honestly it helped me so much on a personal level. The lyrics are so positive and encouraging with a tint of sadness, but I think it fits very well. It gives me a lot of hope <3.
Sei to Shi to Kimi was already my favorite in the Jigenbakudan mini album because I am a sucker for choir. It gives me goosebumps every time. The remixed version sounds a cleaner? It sounds as if Miya wanted to sharpen up a bit the edges of the song and it worked for me. 
Spica sounds like a winter song to me I- ;A;. I love it so much. It's such a gentle and innocent song. When I listen to it I think of calm winters spent indoors, all wrapped up in blankets and drinking hot cocoa. It calms me down so much, just the instrumental alone gives me so much peace. Tatsuro's voice fits so well with the orchestra and the soft guitar ;A;. 
The secret track on the album (Terrace) is my favorite!! I wish they would add it on Spotify as well one day, but I was fortunate enough to buy the album and listen to the final version of it. The acoustic/demo version had been circling around for a while, and I got to hear it live for the first time last year at Yukke's bday live and it was such a beautiful yet simple performance! This version sounds so adorable and beautiful. Yukke's songs are usually my favorite ones and this one is added to the list.
