Very bold of fans think that DEG will bring overseas songs from visual era. I'm always cringed when people want to hear Cage, Zakuro and all of that stuff.

Miyavi is more beloved by the west and still doesn't get this level of exposure, so yeah there is some financial witchcraft behind it all.

i probably have more involvement on stan vk twitter than the average poster here. overall i don't really mind intense fandom stuff, it's nice to see people care so much about what they love.

but the described phenomenon of fans falling in love with their favs ("gachikoi" fans) is kind of the crux of bad fan behavior in vk in general, to me. people are simultaneously super judgmental (towards themselves and others) and super defensive about the potential that they might have actual feelings for their favorites. i feel like the advent of fanfiction, roleplay, etc. in the western fandom is probably sometimes related to young girls needing some outlet for these feelings (and sexuality in general but that's a whole nother can of worms). it's also i think what motivates some women to pull the "i'm a better fan" or "___ is a bad fan" thing -- they want to believe that they're worthy and others are not. stan culture is only fun when it's not competitive like that tbh.

Most of the fanservice in VK, kpop and all that stuff seems to primarily be set up as dumb pandering garbage for the femcel fujo crowd, and the whole thing literally  just feels like a (mostly) genderswapped version of subhuman otaku dudes creeping on female j- or k-pop idols/gravure models when viewed on the ''how many levels of delusion are you on right now, bro?''-scale

If not, I'm afraid the next X Japan album's going to look like a typical rap album where every track has someone as a guest and you barely hear just the artist themselves:

I don't know why but it feels like every single interview, review or article written about X Japan or Yoshiki in particular in the west are a bought shill piece ghost-written by Yoshiki himself. The amount of critical questions regarding the delay are always nil. 
 

I guess a guitarist falling sick is now legit reason to scrap the whole album, even though it was supposedly finished and the member returned to the band after recovering?
 
 
So either the album has 100 songs, which it better have after this long wait, or Yoshiki doesn't understand how percentage works. 
 
 
It's nice he's acknowledging that he doesn't care what fans want, he NEEDS to make his English CD because this is really all about him getting to mingle some more with C-list celebrities at baseball events. See also that the magazine claims it's an interview with the band, yet only Yoshiki seems to be interviewed.
 
Just disband already, this has been a train wreck for ten years by now.

As others said it's fine to wear anything you want, but I would add a small exception - don't wear other artist t-shirts or goods. It's not a rule, but fans here definitely don't do that (while it's totally normal thing in the West). Unless you know that those two artists hang out/do events together/etc.
I actually see people wearing business clothes at lives a lot, I'd also been to a live wearing a white shirt few times  when I didn't have time to change (but it's way too hot!).
 
The only bag checks done in Japan I experienced was at huge venues (arenas), so going to a v-kei live you should be totally fine. You can bring bags in, but it's simply more comfortable to use a locker. If it's a standing live you don't know if suddenly fans won't do some furi having everyone moving.
Most venues allow you to bring a drink in, sometimes they can simply ask if you carry a camera.

Hazuki definitely doesn't have the undercut, it would show at lives when he moves around and headbangs no matter how much hair product he uses 😉
