  1. Any fan here of a gothic vk band callled "BLOOD"? I've missed out on these guys and they have a really cool sound.Already found their discography for download, but any further informations about the members, post projects of them, the disbanding, etc? Thx

I used to listen to them back in the day (like... 13-14 years ago, lol). "Sweetest Disease" was among the first few VK music videos I ever saw!

used to be fairly into them - found them very hit or miss, but "Morphine" is still a top tier VK track. the overall mood and atmosphere of that song is really fantastic.

  2. Impossible not to feel pathetic when you say positive and motivational words to people when deep inside you don't even believe in any of these words you just said.

    1. 123Sandman321

      123Sandman321

Perhaps, but it's important to make to other person believe, when they need to. And even if you don't believe in the words you say, the other one might.

      Manji 卍

@123Sandman321 yeah,that's what i thought.making someone important feel better is what matters, even if it's against your own "beliefs"

i know what you're talking about, my first ex commited suicide a year ago. of course it's not as bad as losing your relatives, i can't even imaging how horrifying it must be. but being half dead - well, i know that feeling. life is a fucking joke huh. i don't even think focusing on new things is a good solution - suppressing your inner thoughts doesn't solve the problem. idk what will work for you, but i've read some books and they helped me accept different things. i still don't think life is a piece of cake or something meaningful but now i'm like okay whatever, let's have some nice moments at least before i end up in grave

    3. Manji 卍

      Manji 卍

@yomii your thoughts makes sense again, and sorry about your ex. I really need this "whatever" button in my life. But we need something meaningful to hang on while "enjoying" these moments, don't you agree? like a well succeeded career, family and a true love. My cat and my geek stuff won't give me the "structure" I need to stay strong living in this shit world

    4. yomii

      yomii

you know such things as successful career, family and true love are not so common, even among people who don't struggle with depression...but i think the point is in trying to achieve such things anyway. maybe you will achieve an ideal, maybe you won't, but step by step you will make your life much more comfortable. you've said you have some things to finish, and you want to find a better job, so it means you do have some goals in life, so, can't these goals themselves become your "structure" instead of geek stuff? if you find a better job that will be your first step to a good career. and maybe you'll meet the love of your life there~ maybe not, who knows. but anyway it will be more comfortable to work in a place that doesn't disguist you.
tell me about your cat btw .w.

  5. Judging by the live samples on his Twitter ,KarasunaMei's new band/songs are going to be a "Super Saiyajin" version of Mamireta. Kinda amusing to say it cuz he is one of mamireta's inspirations.

      Manji 卍

@BrenGun haha I wish it was that easy, but unfortunately there's a lot of stuff going on

    4. yomii

      yomii

oh wait yeah then you better stop.  in that case if i had to choose i'd better try to quit drinking than smoking tbh, drinking without smoking is a waste anyway.

being busy with smth you're really interested in really helps btw, like, i won't drink if i know i have to do my homework, but im lucky i realised i love studying before it was too late. finding something you can really dedicate yourself to is not easy, especially when you are not feeling okay. just being super busy doesn't work - we all know how nice it is to reward yourself with some beer after an awful day.

you know i've never self-harmed, but i feel you in some way, coping with pain can be really difficult. i've heard therapists can help but if things were so easy you wouldn't bring up such themes in the first place huh?

  10. Just like NETFLIX did to Death Note, the same happened with Lords of Chaos, they took an idea that they knew that it would "sell",but ignored completely what it really is and made it their own way.I felt uncomfortable watching that.

Haven't watched it yet, but I've been reading up on the scene and am curious how the movie depicts it.

But it made even Varg say positive stuff about Euronymous, that he died fighting, so I don't expect too much. Oh well, let's find out! :D

They have a One Piece live action in the making, that should be fun! They've already stated it'll be americanised.

    4. Karma’s Hat

      Karma’s Hat

The more time passes the more I appreciate the movie for what it is. It’s not good cinema by any means and does get mired in genre nonsense like Euro’s romance and all that, but making Mayhem into Spinal Tap was exactly what the culture deserves at this point, which is nothing but ridicule. Meanwhile the wolves of the underground live in a realm separate from this one, selling bootlegs nsbm split’s on discog’s for hundreds of euros.

  13. Whenever I listen to the Doom metal remake of Tsumi to Batsu by DnG I feel like Kyo should form a third band with the same Doom sound, killer riffs and no clean vocals at all, like a Japanese version of Hooded Menace. Would be a dream

  14. Been learning and trying how to "reboot" myself. The process is hard ,but I intend to become a new person.

  15. It feels good when you simply abandon your"bad habits" for a few days and realize that you're no longer locked inside your own head.

  16. it's completely naive to say to someone with low self esteem something like "oh,it doesn't matter the way you look".No,it does, and people are obsessed with it,obsessed with looks. We live in a superficil culture, with  a superficial generation.

  17. New Madman's Esprit MV is fuckin killer. These guys are carrying alone the Vk scene in South Korea

You mean like the point when the human being turns into a lifeless piece of meat? I think there's a certain part of death that is naturally incomprehensible to us...

@VESSMIER Exactly. Makes me remember that I'm nothing.

  19. Got fascinated watching early Depeche mode ,sioux, the smiths and other shows from the  90's, they seemed so wild,so vivid and not caring at all. And all these bands were supposed to sound "soft", compared to most of the current western shows I've watched from bands  that intend to look tough, evil and brutal but their performances are just "disconnected" and extremely boring.

I'll be always grateful to vk artists for allowing me to discover the post punk scene while introducing some of their most memorable artists and works.

I have the same opinion of yours, and also feel the same way respect the vk scene nowadays. Original VK (even when it wasn't called that way) imported the same "ethos" of post punk; thus the classics acts still sound fresh and genuine despite having 20 or 30+ years old, and in the other hand, newer acts can only become more and more industrialized, to the point of looking ridiculous when looking for the attention of kogal and young girls obssesed with anime and game characters. So VK as a canal of true artistic expression, with its charge of social inconformism, like post punk was, is pretty much dead.

  20. Most part of the time I totally forget that I'm ALLOWED to put "positive" music in my cellphone. That's crazy

  21. deathtrap/trapmetal is a thing now? cool

I used to not be, until I considered a possibility we might instead of being in oblivion, come back endlessly and be forced to live again and again.

I mean even if it's not technically us and we're not really aware...but coming back to live as a human ever again who may be in even shittier conditions, or be ignorant, uncreative, cruel or unquestioning of how fucked society is, is way scarier than death.
I'm not religious, but I can't not think of it that way as a transfer of energy or something. And what if all the people who've claimed to regressed to their past life in deep meditation aren't just in elaborate hallucination, no thanks. Oblivion for me.

    3. Manji 卍

      Manji 卍

@colorfuljinsei I really hate any kind of religion, but it's tough for me to be "totally" atheist, cuz I already saw a girl possessed right before my eyes. So, unfortunately the "beyond" isn't necessary a fantasy. If I had absolute sure that hell or things like that doesn't even exist, I'd be certainly dead by now,but this kind of thought keeps holding me back

i do not value life too much and i also believe that there is a certain flow of energy so a "soul" or whatever you call it won't vanish completely. but as a biological organism i'm afraid af and it's only natural. would be fun to overcome instincts but i can't.
