  1. I liked it for the most part, but I'm ehh on the Namumyouhou Rengekyou rerecording. Ritsu's drumming just does not compare to Hayate/Tetsurou's drumming on the original. Or on any song for that matter. And this is not to say Ritsu's a bad drummer, no. He can play, but his style is run of the mill. Hayate was a classically trained drummer (He actually teaches at a university, plays support for some Vkei bands, and teaches Vkei drummers, if you don't know. His ameblo as "Tetsurou" shows all his work, and every GossiP release up until their best album) with more years of experience, and played in traditional grip, which fits the themes of many of GossiP's songs. That, combined with his ability to really fast switch around different drums and cymbals, and often including smaller cymbals in his tom rolls, and you have a pretty recognisable sound that stands out. Ritsu simply does not even try to improve among the original Namumyouhou Rengekyou. He just feels like he's there. He doesn't stand out in any way, or even add a creative flare. He just plays it the way a normal drummer would, instead of at least trying to do the original. I'm probably preaching to the choir though. Hayate will never come back because he has his own stuff, so I guess I'll just have to get used to Ritsu, even though it's been over a year since he's joined. Hayate set my standards high, and Ritsu disappointed me.

I'm sad to see these guys go. Even though I couldn't get into them much, I liked a few songs, and Izumi is plain awesome and full of life. I can't help but smile when I see him because he's so energetic and seems so happy. Also, they're close with Kuroyuri to Kage, especially Mei and Izumi. On another note though, knowing Shimizuya records, but also knowing the band... which Izumi do we say fuck you to this time? xD Not to start any speculation, but I always get suspicious when a Shimizuya band disbands...
  3. So on Twitter, our little blue-purple haired Mei tweeted out a new outfit of his, and the links to buy the two main parts to it. Now, I can't link the tweet, because it's a private tweet. HOWEVER, I can link the links to where one in Japan can buy the outfit parts, the pictures of Mei-chan in the outfit. Consider me intrigued
  6. Wow. I usually shit on Yukika's singing ability (or lack thereof) but he actually sounds somewhat decent in his two solo projects.

  7. This gives off a lot of Kuroyuri to Kage vibes, but with more Traditional Japanese influences. Especially in the chorus, which gives off a Ryukoka-like feel. So basically, I'M EXCITED FOR THE FULL THING!!~
  8. Himeaimichu

Don't forget, Koyomi and Chiaki used to be in the same band ^^
  9. Anyone know a site where I can get a "Naval Uniform", marketed as a male sailor uniform? Preferably in black. I'm trying to do a Seifuku cosplay at school for halloween and basically full on crossdress (without my mother knowing), but she won't let me buy actual girls' clothes, so I need the kind marketed as a male naval uniform

  10. Himeaimichu

Well, he wasn't as energetic compared to other lives, and he lyrics weren't as clear. Even though he's not a good singer in general, he's at least clear during most lives
  11. Himeaimichu

Both. Almost on the level of Kon from La'Mule. He was drunk as fuck during AvelCain's final live and you could tell he wanted shit to end.
  12. Himeaimichu

I'll also admit at first, AvelCain didn't do much for me, but then I heard 手毬唄, and was sucked in. I wanted to find more songs from them that used Japanese instruments and found some really cool songs. Even the ones I didn't like began to grow on me

病 is also a really good song. It actually seems to be inspired by 是空 by Lamiel, which I personally find interesting since both bands are from Nagoya, but AvelCain isn't really NagoyaKei. But the song is kinda like a modern take on the Lamiel one Oh, 紅 is also a good song, reminding me a lot of La'Mule's "Lepra".
  14. While I'm excited for Karma's solo project, I hope it will be more than acoustic songs and ballads. I miss AvelCain's heavier stuff.

  15. Himeaimichu

    Lots of dying there.
  16. I forgot this old topic I made. Thank you!! ^^
  17. Karma ex. AvelCain announced a new project on Twitter. Not much has been revealed yet except for that there is a song titled "愛の特異点" (Ai no Tokui Ten)
  18. Kon and Kaie should bring back Geno. I miss the high energy music Geno made.

  19. Hopefully I'll find a way to afford the deluxe version that comes with the DVD.

IDK if the OP is still willing to translate songs or not, but if so, I'd like to request a translation of Tsuki to Kage ^^
  21. I'd probably wouldn't even be listening to most Rock since Vkei really got me into Rock Music in general. I'd probably be a total normie and listen to just Pop and Hip Hop. And while I grew up on Funk and Soul, I never really got back into it until I noticed some Vkei bands that made Funk influenced songs.
  22. There needs to be more songs like "Sonzai" by Jakura. The mix of old school heavy metal (pre-NWOBHM metal, that is) with elements of general 90's Vkei.

BTW, before anyone tries to cringe, I know the song was released in 2002. I'm just saying it sounds like old school Metal mixed with 90's Vkei

  23. I wonder if the ex members of Zi:Kill are looking at the current visualkei scene like "You young whipper snappers. Back when I was in a good band, we didn't disband at the drop of a hat, we'd just fire our drummers, continue to fight until we begin to almost hate eachother, then remember we have an audience in the UK to care about! Oh, and then we'd disband"

Holy shit, that was some crazy digging, thanks for the info.

^^ Thank @sakurakurakura for 50% of the work on my end, since he knows more about rare bands than I do.

It was easy because I really like Yukino's era in Kneuklid Romance

  24. I personally think Kuroyuri's given up on the idea of being on someone else's label. I mean there is the mismanagement of them on Shinjou Kasumi's label back when they were Memento Mori, and then there is the AINS deal. I think they're looking on to producing themselves and developing more on their own
