Komorebi got a reaction from cvltic in lynch album recs?? i started with dark & really liked it. bonus points for good b
I was going to make the exact same recommendation as cvltic, except that Shadows isn't that bad, it has a few good songs here and there, I like it more than I BELIEVE IN ME.
Skip Inferiority Complex. I started with that one and refused to try anything else by lynch. until Sinners came out.

dark is their best album tbh but you might want to delve into:

GALLOWS/AVANTGARDE are DARK's marginally less attractive siblings, similar song flavor so you can't go wrong with them.

if you want to look at their older stuff, then i'd say these three:
greedy dead souls: their older style with more mood and songs that are slow but not quite ballads, highlights being latinmeria, mujun to sora, rasen, rew. but hazuki's "old" voice might take getting used to.
the avoided sun: similar to gds, worth checking out for forgiven and prominence
I BELIEVE IN ME: people are really split on this album but THIS COMA and BEFORE YOU KNOW IT are kind of the bridges between their old ballads/slower songs and new

skip SHADOWS & INFERIORITY COMPLEX imo

& i'll throw SORROW from SINNERS-EP a bone here too because it's a nice ballad and their nicest pv

@Komorebi i'm a male and i don't need to punch others or anything to have a good time. If you need to, stay home, violence is disgusting, i will, atleast the bands i listen to are doing amazing headbanging every time, so no complaints from me. Also, i think "western heawy MeTaL DooDz" are losing the "battle" very bitterly since the amount of endless black hair i see in japanese concerts is totally fucking cool.

I go to lives to see/hear a band, not to hear out of tune fans and be pushed around by mosh-pitters... to each their own. But after going to Japan I avoid western concerts because it's often a painful, uncomfortable and unpleasant experience.
I'm talking about what I enjoy doing at concerts, not what other people should do. And I like that for VK concerts people usually are more respectful of other people's personal space and physical integrity.

I get that when you're a dude you have that need for physic violence to show you are having a good time and males get a kick out of kicking each other in a mosh pit, but VK is catered to a female audience and I like to be able to go to a metal concert and be able to get out of the venue with my body (and outfit) intact. I like that Incan headbang on my spot if I feel like and if I don't want to no one is going to run me over.

Also, jumping, dancing and headbanging are part of furi. It's not just hand choreo.

I actually like to stand still like an idiot, soak in the moment and pay attention to what's going on on stage, actually look at the performance in all it's aspects instead of headbanging like a possessed deranged ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

I like the organized feeling of japanese lives and furis, you can either do them or not, it's your choice  Depends on the band tho. I do like the adrenaline at the concerts, but it's nice to just watch.

ALSO, replying to @VkBrutaliaN i think it's cool that at japanese lives you can be an ossan with the other leg to the grave and their still gyaku diving, the western "harder lives" i've been to there seems to be kind of an age gap that who seems to have a good time versus who's not. To each their own, just hope everyone has a good time.

see the positive - for example take a look at the most heavy death/black metal or whatever band and compare the audience to Vk audience... the difference is Vk = movement! western metal = 5 guys are headbanging 2 are doing whatever weird shit and the rest of the crowd just stands still like idiots....

I liked DOGMA, but it was a really narrow scope. There are a few songs on this album that in all honesty has everything DOGMA had and leaves room for some of these self-worship back-to-our-roots songs. It's not all hits but it's actually more recognizable as the band I thought was special back in 2006

Jiluka - Ajna -Sg Version-, October 25th 2017. It was the first time ever I actually looked at the previews nonstop.
D - Kingdom, November 12, 2014. It would be their last release before the hiatus and I was both overly hyped and depressed.
