Hey, just my 2c: if something looks interesting but you can't seem to get into it, don't give it up immediately. I've observed that after long periods of apathy I need to push through an initial warming up period, and then I get hooked on whatever I'm doing and it becomes easier by the day.

Whatever you get after converting from one format to another, but the term's often used for things transcoded from a lower-quality format/setting to a higher-quality one, like 128kbps mp3s transcoded to 320kbps or lossless, you still have 128kbps worth of information but a few times the size, frustrating  when you happen upon such uploads on the internet.

@crossparallelIt's really quite disconcerting, that sudden realization of life going on, having the potential to end just like that due to some dumb accidents etc... I mean, there is no way yu can help these things when they do happen most of the time, but still, it makes everything feel vulnerable

Well I am planning on enrolling in Japanese studies, this will also get to me in a few years. But in many situations people don't care about subtleties, and anyway technology will run its course, it was only a matter of time until it got to intellectual labor. Not there yet, but I'm optimistic about advances in AI. No point pretending, I'm really cheering for Google.
