    I booked my hotel room for my trip to Japan in October. And I'm definitely going to go both concert hopping, and visual Kei shopping. But the only bands that I really like that are still doing concerts are Dir En Grey, D, Matenrou Opera, Kamijo and One Ok rock! 

     

    What are some bands that I should check out? Maybe buy some cheaper cds of theirs while I'm at Closet Child? Also what places should I go to? I'll be staying right in the heart of Shinjuku, right by the subway/train, so I can literally train anywhere. 

     

    I know that I'm going to go to Like An Edison, Jishuban Club, and Closet Child. But I definitely want to explore Tokyo. The last time I went, I didn't get to do what I wanted to, but this year I'm going to be ONLY in Tokyo, so I want to experience as much of it as I can! And go to concerts! (I only went to one because I had pre-purchased tickets.) 

     

    I just hope the bands that I want to see are playing while I'm there haha!

     

    I'll be there October 24th - November 7th, so if anyone has suggestions as to what I should do during that time, I would LOVE to hear them!! ❤️

      Oh, that's awesome! If you can, you should check out a taiban (where multiple bands play on the same day at the same venue). Those are a lot of fun ^^ You can check out concerts dates for when you'll be visiting Tokyo. The link is in this thread. 

       

       

       Fingers crossed and hope the bands that you like will be playing when you're there!

       

      Don't forget to go to Brand-X, Little Hearts, Zeal Link, and PureSound (similar to Closet Child) :)They are all visual kei CD stores that are in Tokyo and a must see for VK fans, lol. Brand-X is in Ikebukuro and Zeal Link has a branch in Shibuya. Also, I think many VK-related clothing brands are located in Harajuku if you haven't seen it yet.

       

      There's so much to do in Tokyo :D What kinds of sights/things are you interested in seeing?

      I definitely plan on hitting up as many shops as possible! I want to buy as much vkei as I can hahaha. And get all the perks that I can't get from ordering off of cdjapan (Thanks for no longer giving me goodies D:< ) 

       

      I really want to visit some shrines. Our hotel is right next to the fire museum I guess, and a shrine. I want to get a furisode and visit the shrine that's nearby. I've never been to one. I went to some castles when I was in Kyoto, but I want to experience an actual shrine. 

       

      I don't think there's any onsen near where I will be (I'm guessing those are all further north of Tokyo), so I won't worry about that. It's mostly just shopping in Harajuku and at the vk places that I want to do. And Ikebukuro, Akehabara, gotta get the anime stuff hahaha.
