Okay guys, after a full day of listening this has totally won me over. Not a fan of ZERO SUM GAME, but there are some real gems on this. トイレでGO! + 汚れた夜 + 色悪 are really solid upon my 6-7 listens. This one was a grower for me. I got into these guys around 9 and 10 so I'm used to (and a big fan of) their new stuff, but I can see connections between pre-8 era stuff and this and I like it.

Still haven't tried it yet, but have been meaning to  

I fully agree with Jig. It feels like a fantastic fusion of their old and new styles (plus I think Yukarie should just be an official member, she adds so much to the band)

I think it's their best since 8 easily. Really feels like a caligari album too for once, and there are some post punky guitar shit there that's awesome like in the last track. 

their best post-revival release by far and also vk aoty for me so far tbh

Not bad – robot screams and Instrumentals reminds me a bit of  'not obtain+1' 12012 / DEZERT XD Definitely a 'raw' band – I like that

@Elazmus@Gichi GichiAgreed - RED ZONE got me hooked. I totally see your point about BORN's 'hooks' – I felt that was always their problem – Most of the songs were mediocre at best, and you were just waiting for the chorus or w/e. I did like their RENNY AMY era stuff though. RAZOR is a good direction for all of these talented dudes.
@Peace Heavy mk III never tried Scapegoat out – Anything good there?

Trying them out on YT. Thought "iya, iya, iya" was okay, but nothing to write home about. "DNA" seems to be really good though-- SCAPEGOAT has been doing this kind of stuff for a while, but these guys seem more polished. 

late BORN made me so frustrated for him when a single would come out and his hook was the only tolerable part of the song - this is exactly what I've wanted to happen to him for like 6 years

yes,his scream and clean vocals are so powerful and so damn good

So good! It's heavier than anything they've done in the past few years. They've went for a darker vibe with this album – I'd recommend checking it out ; )

Man, I loved that movie. I love realistic, slice of life stories and that one always hits close to home.

Everything Tokage's recommending is solid stuff.
 
Ringo Deathstarr is a really fun 'nu-gaze' band, if you're looking for a more modern take on the genre too. Fleeting Joys is also really killer for a post-2010 shoegaze act.

Well I always heard that Bucchi left because Ryu and him didn't get along. Like on ll their old non-live footage it was always Tadashi, Akira and Ryutarou in one group and Bucchi by himself.

Is that new is that good?!
