Mate I know how recording an album works. 😛 But even though what you're saying in theory is correct, I actually disagree and don't believe a "perfect" take exists, let alone a perfect song or album. But if you think about it, that's kind of the point, when you're in a studio, you're only looking to get that one take of that one riff which is "good enough" for the recording and the songs haven't really been rehearsed as a band (at least not to any great length, again this isn't true for all band obviously) but it's after playing that song so many times in a rehearsal/live environment that you really refine your performance of that song and could go into the studio and pull off the entire song from start to finish almost flawlessly with little effort and you only need to go and tidy up the messy parts perhaps. The studio environment doesn't make you always feel at your most relaxed in order to be able to play your best I can guarantee that. 😛

It's kind of a sinister feeling one gets while watching the ridiculous scenario of a pack of "users" actively giving a stuff you know it's ridiculous, nonsensical, inconsistent, etc. a lot of attention all of a sudden... feels like one's gone crazy or something... But buying social media 'credits' (likes, views, subscriptions, downloads, etc.) these days is SO much common than what oneself could ever imagine. The only time I've seen it live was during their 'ALL SONGS FOR YOU' double-live where they played their entire discography up to that point over two days to send off their ex-drummer Yusuke. That was an amazing couple of days.

I'm all about the physical releases, I do have spotify for digital only stuff, stuff you can't really get on disc anymore and previewing otherwise interesting stuff. But yeah if I like something, will always buy it physically if possible. There are still a lot of people who like physicals, I know guys who literally have thousands of CDs or are vinyl only guys. But yeah, think it's slightly younger generations are consuming everything digitally these days. Or people who don't want their houses cluttered with thousands of CDs and Vinyls. But actually, I love looking through my CD racks looking for something to put on, sometimes you get that "man, haven't heard that in ages, will slap that on now!" have a look at the artwork and that, takes ya back. haha.

Watashi mamire is a special song and this painful voice helped me a lot during the emotionally hard and nerve-racking times. It sound unusual for the first time but I like it a lot. Very expressive. I think this single is very good, kogarashi rerecording is very nice. I prefer the vibrato part somewhere in the beginning of the old version, but the other parts are much better in the new one. The third song is okay, I like when they mix their songs with this jazz ish taste.

So, Topaz Labs has had an artificial-intelligence (AI) image software suite for a while now, including Gigapixel AI which is meant for upscaling photos. Well, videos are comprised of still frames, so it was only natural that users would try and apply this AI upscaling to video. In the past, this process had to be done manually using FFMPEG to extract all the frame images. You then had to upscale in batch with a limit of ~2000 images per session which would take forever. After all that, you had to put the whole thing back together. Within the past month Topaz Labs has now automated this process with Topaz Gigapixel AI for Video and it's a free beta at the moment. While the hardware requirements are 32 GB RAM + an Nvidia Graphics Card with at least 6 GB VRAM, for the time being, you can have them render a 60 second comparison test for free or pay for a full video up to 10 GB (the longer the length, the pricier it is.) You can see here I shelled out $7 for ユナイト - 約束 [MV] since I wanted to see how the upscale treated the variety of camera shots, effects, and CG (also it's ultra-fucking slow on my PC.) I also used SVP to transcode the upscaled product (by 200%) w/ 60fps frame interpolation for the last video. I assume Dailymotion hasn't fully processed these b/c they're stuck at 1440p, so for that and compression-sake I included the original files in MEGA. I find this particularly interesting for Visual Kei music videos b/c unless they're on YT, we're kind of stuck with DVD rips @ 480p.
