I've known about this site since I became a fan a few years back but I never actually registered... Anyway, I'm finally joining! My name is Dasha, and I've been a VK fan for three years now. I prefer old school kei to new school kei but I try to keep up with my newest favorites. My favorite band is Malice Mizer! They're a huge part of my life, and have helped shape who I am as a person. I've almost collected all the main albums, and have begun getting my hands on some singles. I also run the malice_mizer_ultimate fanpage, if anyone knows me from there. My other favorite bands are LAREINE, Versailles, Buck-Tick, BAISER, and SHAZNA. I have a lot more but listing them is a chore, and there are more that I casually listen to than religiously. Apparently I am Last.fm famous so if the username MetaKnight999 rings a bell, then that is me! You can get a comprehensive look at all the VK bands I listen to in my library

キズ (Kizu) new single, "地獄" (jigoku) will be released on 4/28 They will also hold their oneman live, "糸" on 4/18 at 下北沢GARDEN, and will also hold a separate oneman tour "地獄巡り", beginning in May!

Liphlich will release a new single titled ケレン気関車 (Keren kikansha?) in the spring of 2020. More TBA later.

Outstanding amazing underground Metal Bands are also welcome. Currently I'm searching for outstanding great NON-VISUAL KEI ROCK and PUNK bands. Whenever a band made a come back after years being inactive or coming back for giving live shows in a while just as TH eROCKERS do, but also THE MINKS made their comeback recently. I'm looking for bands who are outstanding, having a real good sound, something easy to like, something special. Whenever they are already in their 50ties or 60ties or even 70ties. As long they play with the heart I wanna know them Of course, please only ACTIVE bands. Currently a few amazing names; THE DOGGY PADDLE I truly love them, vocalist sings from the bottom of his heart, while the others play their instrument truly to fit the vocalist voice in perfection, definitely check their youtube channel for more. The guys are 31 and 32 years old and already around for about 10 years. And absolute amazing to see live. In those 10 years the guys really gained a bunch of fans and they are getting more and more popular. THE NOVEMBERS I guess kind of like Boris in the sense that all of their songs are basically a different genre, although I haven't really listened to Boris enough to know if that comparison is valid. For example: Pretty much a 180 from the other song lol I don't know if YAMAGEN is still active or not, as Touhou bands are super difficult to track. @Zeus may know more on that, or where the members ended up going to if they're no longer around. I am 98% sure Unlucky Morpheus do not consider themselves to be a vkei band. I always assumed they were Touhou / doujin related, but kinda dress up for fun (like how Wagakki Band isn't vkei but they still use stage costumes). They do have ex-vkei bandmen in the band, though, so they're not too far removed.

I just finished listening to UVERWorld’s 2011 album ‘LIFE 6 SENSE’ and whilst I found it to be a fun, easy listen, it really is just a bunch of songs that could be anime openings and endings CORE PRIDE slaps tho, and that actually is an anime opening (Blue Exorcist Season 1 episodes 1 to 12)

I started to like 逆襲の自作自演屋。 more and more recently. I even have there one of there limited live cds i managed to get my hands on, Jisaku jien. ~ So no ni~ Probably the best limited live CD i have ever heard. Have you listened to they previous band scarlett? One notable release i like ダーリン so great. A much different take compared to the astetics of 逆襲の自作自演屋。 Maybe it might have to do with thier past?? Who knows. All i know is they are one of the best bands in my book.

Thank you for the info i really miss this band. I always wondered what happened. They could have still continued without naru 神が死んだ日 was a masterpiece. Why choose to disband hell why wait a year after making 2 solid releases then disband. A lot of drama must have went on in that year of nothing. I feel like just the members complement each other musically even when they were in ex-scarlett. Hopefully they come back but i have the bad feeling they wont. Usually when a band member has a family they focus more of the fam more.

After listening to this song i realized something - at least for me. I probably don't have to care anymore that they switched to digital releases only cuz fortunately their first 2 physical releases are their VERY BEST material to date imo.

Kokeshi Doll from Hokkaido is active again now but play rarely, so if you ever get a chance to see them be sure to! One of the most amazing bands I have seen live, the recordings of their music do not do them justice at all. At gigs the singer/guitarist is like some flame of aura spewing godliness! Tsushimamire is always a great band to check out live as well,plus they are super nice people. warning: this song will be stuck in yo head!

Hello! It was really funny to read all of your posts about our time in La'Vistier and {m:n}. I especially liked the south park kairu (cuttle fish), Our drummer seeming out of place post "hey it's a job!" (pretty much the truth! except replace power metal with regular overseas goth), and the last Maria Cross comment was very funny too haha. thank you for your support and interest, there was so much drama from the La'Vistier craziness leaving us with a self produced event to pay for and no chance to recoup and actually decide what we wanted to do musically. All the songs from {m:n} were basically demos I made for fun (never intended to be released) in 2017, When I was asked to join La'Vistier I did so out of respect for Sakura's history and since I had those demos ready to go I just said "we can use these." After his mental problems came up too many times we had no choice but to continue on with that concept as we had a schedule lined up already. After a year, and though we loved the band, we knew we could not keep on with a concept that we did not originally wish to do completely. If you have any questions feel free to ask! Usually i don't care for CDs like that but in this case with NAZARE and DEXCORE this has to be the most AMAZING collaboration EVER!!
