キザノホマレ from Animal Crossing / どうぶつの森 In the English version he talks about "a band" and in the OG AC he's a 'jock' type despite the make up and skirt lol. But in JP version he talks about his kaisan'd band and subtlety flirts with the player & animals like a proper bandman. I mean it is a Japanese property so the ref isn't completely surprising, but I still didn't expect being called 'my sweet/darling beloved' by an animal in a nintendo game. (Or the implication that there's some seedy romance drama going on in town between multiple animals with him lol)

    How would you define Angura?

if your band meets at least two of the below criteria: - have your cover artwork be drawn by Suehiro Maruo - perform short skits during gigs - use melodies reminiscent of kayoukyoku in your songs - design your outfits based on school uniforms - have at least one song about (pre-/post-/mid-)WWII and/or nationalism That's it, I cracked the Angura Code™, thank you for coming to my TEDTalk.

Is it dungeon synth Mortiis or industrial rock Mortiis? If it's dungeon synth Mortiis it's highly recommended if you like gigs without much happening. He's for most part standing still, barely looking up from the laptop and his synth, but well worth it imo. I had a blast seeing him a couple of years ago. Was superb and I'd wish for. 9/10 But again, I love ambient and ritualistic gigs where not much happens in general. It's not for everyone, but if into that stuff it's fantastic.

If it was not alcohol it would be another drug. When you get to that point of hurting yourself by drinking it is quite obvious you are running from something you don't want to face. Like all other drugs, it will only go away if you solve or at least try to solve whatever deep problem you have that makes being sober so horrible. Most times people are just not aware of what the problem actually is though, making it almost impossible to do something about it.

    Hello

Hi. I'm an 18 y/o vkei fan, living in Japan. I like Dir en grey, Sukekiyo, lynch., and the Gazette. I just started listening to MUCC too. I got into vkei this past January, after hearing about Hyde from a kpop guy that likes him a lot. I don't really like either of those people anymore. Currently, I split my time between trying to save up to afford my favorite musician's signature guitar models and attending concerts. I only started attending concerts this past May. My first concert was BUCK-TICK's 2day concert Bestia Locus Solus in Makuhari Messe. Since then, I've attended 2 Gazette concerts, 1 GLAY concert, 1 lynch. concert, and a whooole host of others I purchased tickets to but never went. This month, I'm seeing Dir en grey for the first time! Between now and the end of the year, I'm seeing lynch. (2 more times!), MUCC (& others at Trigger In The box), BUCK-TICK, and Luna Sea. There's more that I have tickets for in 2020, but that's a bit much to list, isn't it? Anyways, I have no specific reason to really join this place. Probably just to lurk, honestly.

Preview for the second track, "白昼夢" It indeed is the same song that was already released on their full album but the instrumental is a bit different on this one it seems. Honestly I think I like this a bit more though~

    DIMLIM

Sounds here like retsu wants to tour overseas. Retsu is really adamant the album is coming, says lives will go on with the 3 of them (reading between the lines guess he's not looking for more members anytime soon). Katsuya says there are reasons to worry but since its dimlim he's not worried. Retsu confirms this. This line from retsu is weird too. They're talking about how things have changed since they met. Retsu: My bands changed too much. Katsuya: Jeez your band (lol). Retsu: It's been crazy, as if we've been switching in talent from overseas. Well it's impossible now (lol). Can anyone confirm I have this right? I don't know what he's trying to imply with this. Maybe that the 3 remaining members are really committed so they won't break up. Or maybe (something bad)?

see, in America, when you wanna protest your shitty government, you stand outside the Whitehouse with signs. In Japan, you just make fucked up videos with Yoko Ono-esuqe screeching and roaches.

Worst To First: Dir en grey

Yeah, I believe so. *This comment is entirely based off credits for mixing that I saw on discogs, just fyi. It would've been interesting to see more people remaster the tracks originally done by Tue Madsen since he was such an influence on the band's sound from DSS - Arche. Specifically, I'd be really curious to see what a Japanese sound engineer would do as I feel like there's a stark contrast in the way the songs are mixed on this collection and it seems to be divided by regional preferences (and by regional I just mean that there seems to be a different sound profile preferred by engineers from different countries). For example, it sounds like the Japanese engineers like cutting out the lows more so that the songs sound cleaner, but perhaps a bit on the sterile side for some songs. Western engineers sound like they like keeping the lows more for a bit of a dirtier sound which in turn makes some tracks a bit muddled sounding. Try taking a listen between Filth and Sustain the Untruth and I think what I'm saying might make sense (the prior being re-mixed by a Japanese engineer and the latter by another Western engineer that's not Madsen). Now, you might say it's probably just because Filth was originally from 2001 and STU was from 2014, but if you take a listen to the Cage remaster (1999) I feel like the low ends on this mix are boosted way more than the original. And wouldn't you know, Western engineer. Just my observations, but I really wish Dir en grey would go back to using Japanese sound engineers because, overall, I prefer the way they mix the band's music. No hate against Western sound engineers at all as there are plenty that I love, but for whatever reason the ones that end up working with the band just seem to do a less than stellar job.

    JACK+MW will disband

More on Suu's departure: a family member collapsed on the day before a live back on August 24, and after being examined, they were diagnosed with cancer. Since devoting himself to the relative's treatment, Suu has been taking up all the family work, and has less time for the band. As a result, he is only able to perform in Nagoya (his hometown?), which is the reason why the band will be holding their last onemans there. A support bassist will perform at their last live in Shinjuku Reny. https://lineblog.me/jackmw_staff/archives/1837913.html
