    Does KISAKI Is Gay?

I saw kisaki at a grade school in Los Angeles yesterday. I told him how bad it was to meet him in person, and that he should probably leave or i’m gonna call the cops. He said, “Oh, like you’re doing now?” I was taken aback, and all I could say was “yes, hello, police? i would like to report a strange pedo at a grade school,” but he kept cutting me off and going “huh? huh? huh?” and closing his hand shut in front of my face. I walked away and continued with my 911 call, and I heard him chuckle as I walked off. When the cops came to arrest him for being a child diddler, I saw him trying to walk away with like fifteen 2nd graders following behind him. The cop that came out was very professional, and was like “Sir, you’re going to prison.” At first he kept pretending to be tired and not hear her, but eventually turned back around and brought them to the school. When the cop was handcuffing him, he radioed for backup to come take the kids back to class. kisaki stopped him and told her to take them each individually “to prevent any pedo infetterence,” and then turned around and winked at me. I don’t even think that’s a word. After he was cuffed, the cop started to read him his rights, but he kept interrupting him by yawning really loudly.

    Teaching English In Japan?

While that is really unfortunate, I feel like this person didn’t really have a good grasp on how things “work” here. Which is not to blame her, but just point out some things to keep in mind. Lying to the BOE or customers about experience is pretty normal for any dispatch company or eikaiwa. I mean, honestly telling your clients/customers you’re taking their money for what essentially is on the job training for a new ALT or instructor through their lessons wouldn’t really set well with anyone. (Would you want to pay a hefty sum of money to be taught by a total newb? Probably not.) Also, when you work for a dispatch company you aren’t actually a proper employee. You’re hired as a subcontractor for the dispatch company, which is contracted by the school to fill xx amount of days work per year. Basically it means you legally can’t accept directives etc from the school - all of that and other communication must all come from the dispatch company. This is why Int*rac was upset she went to the school directly with her concerns. Also I’m sure the Aya chick acted out because the whole debacle made her lose face and/or the company would have rather her quit (accomplished through bullying, etc.) than pay a severance package by firing her if the company or the school had deemed her “problematic” for making waves. (Which seems likely from what she described.) The reason dispatch companies hire ALTs as subcontractors is so the company can get out of giving paid sick leave, paying part of your insurance, contract bonuses, etc. The government is aware of this but they usually turn a blind eye unless a major scandal breaks out or it becomes a labor union case. And, of course, one reason they mostly hire new university graduates with little experience in Japan is so that they’re unlikely to be aware of how badly they’re getting ripped off. So what I mean is that while Int*rac does suck and the salaries, training, and support they offer are abysmal, they aren’t any better or worse than your average dispatch/eikaiwa company here. I’ve worked for them before and at least they don’t work you without a visa and they pay on time. Whether you have a good experience with them or not depends highly on the branch (area in Japan) you get employed under, your attitude, and your school(s). Additionally getting “groped” is pretty normal, especially by younger children. (It’s not uncommon for random strangers to touch my hair or old ladies to have a go at my boobs, too.) In some ways Japanese will respect you more than they do other Japanese, in other ways less, especially where foreigner exoticism is concerned. If it happens at school my advice is to stop the lesson and address it then and there with the homeroom teacher in the room. It becomes harder to “prove” and more of a hassle nobody wants to take on later after the fact if you wait and get more people involved. If anyone is thinking about coming over here make sure to RESEARCH RESEARCH RESEARCH, be really flexible, and be able to pick and choose your battles. SJW types tend to get fed up really fast because Japan/Asia doesn’t operate on Western values nor will it bend to them. Also working conditions can be crappy, the pay not great unless you hustle multiple gigs, and it can be difficult to make close friends or find a decent s/o (esp if you’re a woman who doesn’t fits “normal” beauty/girlfriend material standards here). I’m not speaking out of bitterness or anything btw. I feel like I’ve done pretty well for myself despite all that (not cutesy and petite, married to a j-dude, have a lot of close friends, speak Japanese fluently, able to find work outside of teaching) but it definitely doesn’t seem to be the norm, especially if you’re only staying here a couple of years before moving on to something else.

    Fate Grand Order

I'm pretty sure I'm not the only person here playing this gacha game. Otherwise, this needs no introduction. If you like Fate animes, then you must've heard about this mobile game. It's one of the most popular gacha games globally. Lots of waifu and husbando servants to play as, but do to the gacha nature, chances of obtaining those servants are rare. Here's a video of Noble Phantasm showcase for those who want to get a glimpse before trying out the game. Does anyone else play it? If so, post your friend code and discuss your favorite servants!

    Cheesiest Visual Kei PVs!

I know we've had a thread like this before, but it basically died out and with so many new community members I figured it'd be better to remake the thread than revive the old one (not to mention a lot of videos of that one have been removed due too switching boards and YT copyright). So here it is, feel free to share any PVs that you find atrocious, is it in production quality, having a lame "story", tackiness or just for being absolutely cheesy or over the top. PVs you just find uninteresting for not having a lot happening don't belong here though, make sure the PVs you post have at least some sort of humor factor. I'll start with a few of my favourites :'D On a thread about cheesy PVs one does not simply forget about Versailles, especially their indie PVs. From the awful CGI rose petals to hilarious vampire storylines and the ever so famous castle where at least 30 other PVs were filmed, Aristocrat's Symphony always earns a few giggles from me when it appears on plug.dj. Kings of cheese, basically. D should rename to "T" for tacky. The only thing that makes this even worse than Versailles is that they're taking themselves completely serious. Even when being a D stan a few years back, their PVs were really REALLY painful to look at most the time. Probably filmed with a handicam in any other regular living street. But don't forget about the open forest, where you can see cars passing in the distance. Absolutely amazing and a master piece of our time. Pls share your faves NOTE: Please try not to post more than 3 videos to avoid lag!

During an interview at http://shattered-tranquility.net/index.php/06/01/interview-a-introduction-to-sarigia/ , their reply to that very problem was: You’ve also released a venue-limited single. Releases like that are a bit difficult for overseas fans to get their hands on… Natsu: But international fans that come to our shows can buy copies for their friends… (My comment to that: WOW STANDING OVATIONS FOR THAT SOLUTION!) Asuka: Those songs will eventually be released on an album, so please wait until then. Mizuki: It’s hard to sell CD’s lately... got me like😑

    Johnny from Johnny's died

A lot of disrespect on this thread. Regardless of what he may or may not have been guilty of, this is a man who has just died, and someone widely respected who helped shape not only the careers of some of Japan's most popular artists but the whole industry(ies) they work in at that.

    Let's talk about religion.

@Komorebi yes, true, but.. VK does have their fair share of ‚blasphemic‘ symbolism, texts, etc...and their fair share of music video appearance in churches, so they do play with the idea of God, religion instantly, not very God-friendly songs that come to my mind are Gazettes Dogma, Dimlims D.Hymn and...I think some Dir en grey texts, like...red soil I don‘t listen to these songs, btw Im ok with nihilism, just don‘t be too insulting pls is my kind of mindset...yea

    Let's talk about religion.

Considering VK stems from Japanese culture, which has very little Christian influence, I do not see how it is 'inherently luciferian" in a scene that hasn't replicated in any Christian country.

I'm shocked how how little there is on this album that was actually new to listen to.. out of 11 tracks we got 2 singles ok cool but they have been out a few months now 2 "interludes" wtf are theses? they don't even fit the songs they are stuck between give me the instrumental from devils proof anyday and we get 2 songs which were released last year on a single ..which a actually love but the new versions sound off somehow. so yeah you're left with 5 new songs to listen to none of which are better than the 2 old singles or songs like ishtar or return of the curse. This band was 100% saiya's writing talent and it shows. Its a shame as Keisuke does have some awesome growls

Nightmare in general is very despised overall, even though they are much more capable, consistent and proven than most VK groups and quite a few regular Jrock bands. Being very popular (at least a few years back) but not being absolutely excellent also makes them an easy target. I am also quite sure that during the late 2000's when VK was more popular they were seen as a "band noobs like" because their music was a geatway into VK for many people due to anime. Most of the older VK fans at the time started to be actively dismissive in Nightmare topics because they associated the band with ignorance about the scene. The trend has persisted as the band's output has been much less consistant but it still existed in 2008, 2009 when their music was more solid and cohesive. There are also people who just don't like the band or Yomi's vocals. Also keep in mind that negative reactions are much more motivating than positive ones and people are much more inclined to show opposition than interest, specially on the internet. This creates a climate that does not encourage constructive talk about the band because bad impressions pile up so much that people who may want to say other kind of thigs feel out of place. Happens in every communty in every place on the internet; everything is, to a degree, a sort of echo chamber of negative feedback. TL;DR - Some peole think Nightmare was too popular for how good they are. Also, it's the internet.
