i think DEVILOOF is NOT a band for most of the VK-Fans,due to the fact that their roots still in the slam/deathcore,and also because of Keisuke's "weirdness".As a deathcore screamer he is one of my favorite in the scene.He's highly competent,has an insane range and many memorable vocal patterns,simply outstanding. however,his slurred and weird clean singing combined with the usual "visual-kei" diversity and Ray's vocals will probably make some people confused or even turn their back on it,and also deathcore is not a very "malleable" sub-genre of metal, so not everyone is capable to digest it if it's not traditional/straightfoward deathcore like the western bands do. The album " Oni " sounds pretty much like a continuation of Devil's proof in terms of production and musical quality,with some new ideas here and there (dusky-vision and Ruten for example).honestly,i expected more,but i'm satisfied with the result,they still a young band after all... unfortunately in this forum it became funny to some people to just hate on this band on every fucking release without any decent argument, are these guys edgy teenagers or what?

Pixel 2 XL. I like my phones without bloatware (I like having a near-vanilla experience), and I've been using Android well over a decade now. It's convenient b/c most phones that have come after mine don the dreaded notch. I also like rooting and ricing my phones, which I did a lot of w/ my previous phone, the Samsung Note 4. One complaint is that I fucking hate using dongles w/ a phone and Bluetooth eats my battery. Camera is fantastic, though. After being in an IT environment for a while now + interacting with graphic designers, I have a newfound appreciation for the iPhone (and other Apple products.) Now, their products are still expensive, but I can understand why you would want to be in that ecosystem w/ how streamlined everything is. I'm not in mobile development, but PhoneGap is also really convenient on Android since I can make my own little web apps and install the .apk right on my phone. I've also recently got my hands on an old iPhone 6. I might use it for testing, but right now I'm using it to install ios-only rhythm games, lol.

I'm still trying to deconstruct this with my therapist but I will be back with a more coherent response once we both get to the root of it. I hope you understand.

There's a common misconception that you have to throw everything away, but you don't. You get rid of what doesn't bring joy and meaning to your life to make room for what does. Now, I will warn you that you can go over board and get addicted to throwing things away. I had so many cds and games and DVDs in cases and threw away nearly every case (even my DALLE stuff), everything that I didn't intend to sell, but it felt good and I don't really regret it. You start small, get rid of stuff with no meaning or next to little or no meaning and go from there. I hope I've cleared things up a bit, no pun intended.

Have you never looked at an actor and thought he looks way better now that he's older? For example, Leo DiCaprio was a pretty generic looking dude as a teen, now that's he's in his 40s and his looks have matured, I dunno, I think he's a lot more handsome. I don't have a particular attraction for older men, but some people just grow into their looks over the years. I think Uruha is aging like fine wine, and yeah at some point they need to take it easy with the make up because there's no point in trying to hide anything. There's something attractive about someone who confidently embraces their age.

Well to each their own, but minimalism and releasing your connection to physical objects means you'll likely spend less money on stuff you don't need and use it for experiences. I mean the average person could get rid of a bunch of junk and have money for a nice dinner or a vacation even. Food for thought.

I listened to the album multiple times, and while the main singles are enjoyable on their own, the rest of the album drags them down to the deepest depths of hell. God, is it such a boring slog to get through, especially the 2nd half. This is easily their worst record to date. Losing Seiya and Hiroto really didn't leave good results. All the verses sound the exact same in each of the new songs, stale riffs and "tired" drumming. Sure it's fast and heavy, but without a hint of creativity, plus the only difference between each breakdown is the BPM. The new guys had a wonderful chance to show off and do something new and fresh, but no, let's recycle the old shit, but with musicians who can't keep up and lack the same compositional prowess. Vocal-wise, Keisuke is objectively a beast (important to note that I mean harsh vocals only), but this time, he rarely uses anything but his highs and as time goes on, again, boredom hits. And oh boy, who the fuck greenlit Ruten, which sane person would listen to that shit and put it on the album, as the closing song, to boot. I understand trying something new and interesting (a bit too interesting for the wrong reasons), and sure, I respect it, but damn, is it just awful. I kinda enjoyed his shots at "clean" singing on ESCAPE and prior, but from now on, he should just stop, effective immediately. (and that supposed duet on Dusky-vision, seeing him sing ain't the same as hearing him, and hear him I cannot, it's just Ray.) Ray, who's probably the only saving grace of the album, well, at least in terms of his vocal parts. It's obvious they put some bank into this, the PVs, the production, and even the cover, but if they release another LP like this one, it's the end of the line. I sincerely hope their EU tour goes well for them, I'll be attending for sure, since I still consider them among my favorites, but because of that, the album is all the more disappointing. Kaika, Kodokushi and Aishitekudasai are the highlights, but it's sad when your old material still holds up, compared to the supposed fresh stuff.

they're basically bands that have like 5 fans or so and their releases are usually hard to come by. thankfully there are some whose songs have leaked, but that was either by someone who actually attended a concert/bought the cd, or just pure luck finding it online.

Sorry for the super late response (I wasn't able to get near a computer ;w;) Haha, my family still mistakes VK guys as girls even though they're missing some obvious features ^^; Vistlip did take a bit of a break since I think the vocalist, Tomo, had some health issues and couldn't sing, but apparently they're back. Yeah, it's always nice to see bands together even after 10+ years since it seems there are many bands who disband at the 10 year mark It's happened to a lot of bands I liked, but hopefully it won't happen to vistlip. I wouldn't expect anything less from BORN especially from their early days, haha. They had a lot of energy when they played live, which makes me think perhaps they're more of a 'live' band than a 'recording studio' band xD Yup, I did manage to see them live although Kifumi already left the band by then, so I sadly never saw him play his awesome bass. Lol, that's pretty cool you got to take a picture with Ryoga (despite the cringeness of the photo). Haha, I look at the photos I took with VK artist and think, why did I look like that? XD It seems like Ryoga gets really excited and pumped when performing lives and meeting fans, lol. Agree! They were pretty underrated although I guess maybe it could be that people considered them knock-offs Gazette? Well, I love Ikuma's and the instrumentals voice in any case. Not sure if I completely like them yet, but Ikuma's voice is still as strong as ever. VK may be underground even in Japan, but what he did is still an incredibly serious crime and I don't think the genre of music he plays is going to take away from that. Yeah, fine, he got away with it for now, but that wasn't because of the authorities. That was because the child's parents made the asinine decision of dropping the case (for the time being, at least). And, listen. I'm not going to try to change your mind, but I have never bought into the idea of every single VK J-rocker ever being a prostitute. Maybe in the 80s/90s/early 00s, but name me one rock star who didn't whore themselves out back then. Given the volume of rumours that have come about and the amount of time they've been spreading over, to even begin to make me believe that, you would have to give me undeniable proof of at least fifty instances for around seven-hundred people, if I were to give a rough estimate. As I said, I'm not letting a shitstorm like this define VK, and if they really do think of us as a joke over there, maybe all this crazy speculation is the reason for that.
