I agree. Their "flow" is so inconsistent and it feels like three different songs haphazardly pieced together. They're not bad, they just need to focus on construction.

I really do wonder how many foreign fans complaining about this followed Kagekui to begin with. I swear there were only like 5 of us in their foreign fan base, but I'm seeing this shared everywhere now with fake outrage. I guess all publicity is good publicity, boys.

I'm a big Ningen-Isu fan (I own all of their albums). I got this album and have given it three listens so far. It's nothing short than fucking incredible. Every Ningen-Isu fan will love it and people that aren't Ningen-Isu fans will become one after listening to it. For sure, this album is one of their best. It's got it all. Crushing heavy metal, some fast thrash, fun rockers, weird proggy stuff. From top to bottom, it's loaded with amazing song after amazing song. Wajima's guitar work is out of this world and the album is full of surprises. This is almost certainly going to be Japanese AOTY for me and quite likely just AOTY overall. These guys have been going for 30 years now and there's absolutely no sign of degradation or loss of creativity. They are the best grandpas in metal right now. Nobody can touch them.

Best case of "Engrish" in a song?

The chorus of Noir fleurir's song "Boden" is just random cuss words in English. It always made me chuckle, so it's my sig now.

    The big TV-series discussion thread

Castle Rock - Another new anthology series that's excellent, and hopefully this'll get more seasons than Channel Zero despite the fact that Channel Zero were superior to this. That doesn't mean this is bad tho, not at all. This was actually excellent from beginning to end. Psychological horror inspired by Stephen King, but which is not actually a Stephen King adaption. So this is basically a Stephen Kingian series, like the brilliant Shadow Bound (TOP 3 SERIES EVER! Watch it!) was a Lovecraftian series. Really looking forward to new season. Wondering if it's gonna be another Stephen Kingian season, or if they base it off someone else. Anyway I'm really interested in it.

    Horror Movies

A Quiet Place - Well-directed, superbly-acted and with loads of story and heart. A Quiet Place has been seen as really original and fresh, taking new twists and turns to a familiar genre. Then comes Bird Box with a similar plot, although based on a book written long before this was thought off, and shit was off the hook with people moaning about this and that. Fair enough, as the world is full of idiots anyway. It's a good film and all, and I can see where the hype comes from and why. I do. But I was left disappointed. And the main reason why is the aliens that looked like shit, acted like shit and just didn't make much sense overall. A Quiet Place has got the drama and heart, but Bird Box has the horror and suspense and being a horror fans, horror always wins over drama. And the main reason why Bird Box is so much more intense and scary than A Quiet Place, is because you don't get to see the monster. You only get to see a few drawings which are all way, way different. Such a simple thing. But as well all know, the unknown is much scarier than the known. Not a bad film. In fact, it was really good. Just not quite Bird Box. Fuck the Bird Box haters btw.

I'll follow Tenten to the edge of the Earth. He's my favorite. I just like going along for the ride. If anything, he has a great discography of banger songs. Honestly, I don't even care about the other members. I'm there for Tenten.

Visual Kei in film and television

It's not about VK, but DAISUKE, YOU and Yuu from THE SOUND BEE HD are in a movie called "BUGS". I don't really know any details about it except that it's being produced by the singer from the band mil9 and it's described as a "non-stop action movie". https://bugsmovie.jp/ I remember someone mentioning that Kyan Yutaka from Golden Bomber acts, although I've never seen anything he was in. There's a list here: http://asianwiki.com/Yutaka_Kyan ^Looks like all of the members of Golden Bomber acted in a few of the High & Low movies starring members of EXILE. Didn't know that.

Looks like the actual 'normal' live will happen on 7th July. On 4th they have an autograph panel and are invited as guests to some cooking show (lol ok). On 5th there's some photoshoot thingie (with the fans I presume?) and an acoustic show. On 7th again photo, acoustic show and 'regular' live show.

I went in to listening to Billie Eilish’s album ‘When we all fall asleep, where do we go?’ with an “I’ll hate this” attitude, but the couple of songs I’ve played on random were actually really good. I’m quite looking forward to seeing her live in August now!

I ran the japanese wikipedia article on Dum Spiro Spero on google translate ages ago. I know it's really far from reliable. but apparently "原曲" means "composition" or something and that is used quite consistently on the page? There is actually no external references backing up that info, but from what the page says, "Different Sense" is Kaoru's, "Dreambox" is Kyo's, "Shitataru Mourou" and "Akatsuki" are Toshiya's, "Lotus" and "Vanitas" are Die's. Not all compositions have individual credits like that though

There are many people on fb/instagram too who are throwing shit on them with a bloody mouth and it's fucking annoying. Most of them don't even know the band and acting like they're personally attacked. 🙄 So bad, being so butthurted about a thing they don't even related to. For God's sake there are even bigger bands using real stories/tragedies for their songs/themes and nobody gave a shit.

    DADAROMA new look !

Yeah well that's really helpful for those who can't understand Japanese.... Specially as that's exactly what it says on their tweet, so if someone doesn't understand that not sure this is going to help.... Just saying. But anyhow, yeah, seems strange they would release new photos without anything to follow up on. But if this does somehow end up tying into the next release whenever they do announce it, I'm not really worried, personally don't mind this look and in the wave of vkei bands that go for that "edgy and juvenile" image it's hardly a shock to anyone. Haha. I actually really like this band and no matter how much their sound varies for each release they do deliver, so am not at all concerned that they'll release something whack. haha.

    Civil debate forum

I appreciate both your proposal and your genuine concern for the community, lil' sis. But unfortunately, I don't see the need for something like this - and here's why: This is already an open forum, so people are free to discuss and debate whatever topics they'd like to as long as they abide by the forum rules. 'Civility' is already a prerequisite to posting here, and we've got tons of forums/sub-forums suitable for a variety of topics. It's already the job of staff to quell unnecessary drama . We're not always as efficient as we'd like to be, but fuck, we're human. sue us Too many people would just use this as an opportunity to indulge in pointless one-upsmanship instead of seeking genuine understanding. And lastly, this forum just isn't mature enough to debate important topics without taking things personally. Hell, half of the community would already be triggered before the debate even got started. 🤷‍♂️

Some early LUNA SEA songs that never was recorded: ・DREAM IS OVER ・PERIOD ・JUNKY-もう死んだふりさせない- ・CONCLUSION ・FEELING ・Fly ・第三の言葉 ・SINFUL SONG btw ・JUNKY-もう死んだふりさせない- is the only LUNA SEA song I know of where INORAN plays the solo instead of Sugizo, possibly because it was so early and SGZ had joined fairly recently.
