Why would Vin Diesel make a movie adaptation of a CLAMP manga?

Composer and professional procraXtinator YOSHIKI will score the soundtrack for the 4th installment in Vin Diesel's "xXx" movie franchise. He will also be composing a theme song for the film which is currently in pre-production, with casting being underway and shooting to start later this year. According to a recent press conference he will also do a cameo in the movie itself. An "xXx" TV series is also in the works, with YOSHIKI being one of the producers (he will be scoring the soundtrack for that one too). No word yet about the X JAPAN album of course.

I heard that If you stay till the end of the credits, there will be a bonus scene with Yoshiki playing the entire new X-Japan album with a melodica.

finally decided to make an account after lurking the past couple of months! recently starting to get back into vkei after a 10yr + hiatus. my favorite bands were mucc, dir en grey, merry, girugamesh, and probably more that I can't recall. although mucc was the band that made the biggest impact on me, I haven't been able to enjoy any of their releases from over the past 10 years lol. oh well, I still have hope. since updating myself with the current scene, so far I am super impressed with dimlim and kizu. looking forward to discover new music and possibly go to lives with others living here in Tokyo (y)

It is, and that's great. Both xXx and xXx: Return of Xander Cage are good and fun movies. Looking forward to a new film. Should be fun. But I have no idea why they'd get this guy to compose anything. Guy hasn't done anything listenable since 1993, which again was the only listenable song since 1989. I can't imagine this soundtrack being good or fitting at all, unless he's just planning to re-record a ton of songs made between 84-88. And even that would suck, just because it would lack the intense feeling of the original songs. Gonna be a train wreck of a soundtrack for sure.

Gets boring working so hard on the same thing for so long, guess he needed a break to get those creative juices flowing again. Oh wait, it's been vacation for Yoshiki since announcing the album.

So, I'm doing a count of all the original X Japan songs that have not been put on an original record yet (compilations aren't proper records if you ask me). Please tell me if there are any I missed; I was just skimming Wikipedia and Metal Archives, and I'd like to be thorough with this to prove my point/keep it intact. I.V. Scarlet Love Song Jade Born to Be Free La Venus (Acoustic version, which is the only version at this point, so...) Standing Sex The Last Song Without You (Unplugged, but again it's the only version) Art of Life 3rd Movement (only a new track by technicality since it's an isolated part of the original song) So, yeah, since X Japan/Yoshiki loves his long records, nine songs is pretty much the sweet spot for them. (especially for me since I love my long, progressive track and less is often times more, but I digress). I'd say we have enough material for a full album. It's not going to be 13-14 tracks or however many Yoshiki has been promising, but it's an album nonetheless. Then again, I suppose it would be a glorified compilation since so many tracks would be rereleased. However, who gives a fuck about the specifics/technicalities when all X needs to do is drop this damn record so we can proceed to completely forget about them (well, at least Yoshiki, but then again maybe the rest of the band should be deemed guilty by association)?

On the one hand it could be possible, that he has a certain reason for not being interested in a relationship right now. One reason could be, that he is afraid of getting hurt. Someone might have cheated on him or treated him badly in the past, so that it isn't easy for him to trust anyone or he avoids developing feelings for someone else. It might also be possible, that being drunk helps him overcome that and he is able to open up. Of course that's not the solution, but it's well imaginable. On the other hand he might actually want to enjoy his freedom, so that he can see other people if he wants to, but since he knows about your feelings for him, he doesn't want to hurt you and tries to avoid you. That's of course not the right thing to do and pretty unfair as well. But let's not assume the worst. If I were you, I would ask him if he is seeing other people. And I would do it in person as it is easier for you to decide, if he is honest and telling you the truth. I mean he could write anything, since he doesn't need to face you directly. I wish you the best and hope for a positive outcome for you!

Saw Dragonball Super Broly movie dubbed in theaters last week. It is the best Dragonball movie up to date. No BS here, goes straight into the story. What I really liked here is they gave Broly much more of a character than just a cardboard villain. He's someone we as an audience can be sympathetic towards to. The action scenes are nicely animated, though some fight scenes are a bit too fast for my eyes to keep up. I actually have not watched the DBSuper series but I've seen the recent movies to know the characters featured in this one. So it was not hard to follow at all. Obviously, this isn't recommended to newcomers. The one downside for me was the retconning on some parts of the beginning. Other than that, I rate this movie an 8/10.
