Announced earlier in the week. Title and release date will be announced later. The plan is for a summer release. Apparently, more details will be revealed on 2/9 as he's planning to open a memorial site to celebrate his 25th anniversary on that day. There will be a cover of BOUKYAKU NO SORA inlcuded, but it sounds like that's the only track he's covering from his own (solo/kuroyume/sads) catalogue. He's moved from TRIAD to PONY CANYON. He's also planning to release an autobiography. https://kiyoharu.tokyo/info/今夏カヴァー・アルバムリリース決定!/?lang=en

    :)))))

finally decided to make an account after lurking the past couple of months! recently starting to get back into vkei after a 10yr + hiatus. my favorite bands were mucc, dir en grey, merry, girugamesh, and probably more that I can't recall. although mucc was the band that made the biggest impact on me, I haven't been able to enjoy any of their releases from over the past 10 years lol. oh well, I still have hope. since updating myself with the current scene, so far I am super impressed with dimlim and kizu. looking forward to discover new music and possibly go to lives with others living here in Tokyo (y)

new band "ロゼ (Roze)" has formed

Wow. It takes a certain level of perversity to have four members playing actual instruments in your band and then release something where you can literally only hear the vocalist, a teeny tiny quiet guitar solo and a massive wall-of-compression electro-schlock.

    JILUKA

2013- Vo. Ricko [twitter] → JILUKA(kanata→Ricko) Gt. Sena [twitter] → JILUKA Ba. Boogie [twitter] → JILUKA Dr. Zyean [twitter] → XALTEA(裂夜/Sakiya) → JILUKA (2015-) Former members: Dr. JaiL Website | Twitter | Youtube | Ameblo | iTunes Might as well add JILUKA ahead of their new mini album release next week... JILUKA are an intriguing oddball quartet with a ridiculous amount of talent and one of only a handful of visual kei bands to have featured in Young Guitar Magazine. With guitar-head Sena at the helm, vocalist Ricko with a bottomless pit of lung capacity, bassist Boogie who likes to boogie and drummer Zyean blasting his way to 300 bpm completing the lineup, they draw their inspiration from an assortment of influences from classical music to heavy metal - conceptualizing heaviness with melodic lines. Zyean who joined the band in 2015, lists black metal, brutal death metal, technical death metal and power metal as his go-to subgenres; with Mayhem, Darkthrone, Dimmu Borgir, Meshuggah, Cryptopsy, Gamma Ray and Sonata Arctica among some of his favorite bands. And following in the footsteps of senpais like Fumiya from Galneryus, Kouki Akita from GAUNTLET, and Shuji from Gyze, it’s easy to hear this energy dictate the rhythm of current JILUKA. Despite their short years in the industry, JILUKA comes across as a band serious about their music – making fast progress with their hard-earned skills and backed by the producers of DELUHI and Galeyd. Although admittedly JILUKA's earlier works greatly borrowed from Deluhi, they’ve really come into their own in recent times. It will be interesting to see how they'll mature and grow.

I noticed some very strange things about Kisaki's bands Levia and LAYBIAL, which were around in 1993 and 1994. For example, this is the tracklisting of the MISS tape by LAYBIAL. 01. Dejavu 02. MISS 03. virginig Plesures 04. Refuse 05. MOTHER 06. One More Love Official source: http://under-ground-music.com/kisakihppart/english/DiscShosai.php?shohinNo=000009 Also in the mid-90s there was a band called VICE∞RISK. They released the tape Mother and this is the tracklist: 01. Virgining Plesures 02. Refuse 03. Mother 04. One More Love I saw the lyrics sheet with my own eyes, so I can confirm that it's real. Now let's look at Levia's KELOID tape: 01. KELOID 02. PRAY Official source: http://under-ground-music.com/kisakihppart/english/DiscShosai.php?shohinNo=000007 Around the same time there was a band called Nude of J. Their 傷痕 demo looks like this: 01. KELOID 02. 恋に焦がれ愛に埋もれ 03. PRAY I also saw a sheet of this tape, the tracklist is legit. I can upload pics of the VICE∞RISK and Nude of J tracklists, if you guys want to see a proof. So.. Can anyone explain this? For me, it doesn't make sense at all. VICE∞RISK and Nude of J seem to be COMPLETELY unrelated to Kisaki or his bands. I even compared the member names, because sometimes members went into different bands and rerecorded songs they've written for another band, but there's not a single similar name anywhere. Was Kisaki making things up when he decided to release information about this old bands and just took random songtitles of obscure bands from that time? O: Or did the bands just covered each other, which is highly unlikely... I know there's a KISAKI history book out there. Maybe someone here owns it, so we could compare the titles? But I'm 99% sure that it will contain the same information as on that UCP site.

    Gay guys, roles?

Ok, i know this is kinda pointless... BUT for some reason i always have been curious as to the sexual role of the gay guys i know (here and in real life) ... Call me a perve if you must lol. But hey, i'm open about it, so i'll start. Fudge packer or getting fudge packed? Bottom/Vers. ps. Also curious as to the fact it can be cultural, statistically latino and more 'masculine' oriented countries have a higher percentage of tops than countries like england and america (which i think have more bottoms). Sydney where i live...there seems to be an abundance of bottoms lol.

    Cinema Bizarre

i LOVE Cinema Bizarre so MUCH Cinema Bizarre was a german band from Berlin. They describe their music as synthpop, New Wave, Gothic rock and pop merged into some kind of glamorous pop. They released their debut album, Final Attraction, in 2007. As of January 2010, the band has announced that they would be going on a hiatus. Members: Jack Strify (bday. on August 20, 1988) – vocals Kiro (bday. on January 11, 1988) – bass Yu (bday. on December 29, 1988) – guitar Shin (bday. on December 12, 1989) – drums Romeo (bday. on August 4, 1988) – keyboard Former Member Luminor (bday. on March 22nd, 1985) – keyboard and second vocals please no hate comments

Which do you consider are the most "anthemic" vk songs ever? For me there are quite a few, but "Cage" from Dir should be in the top of the list.

    Favorite J-rock Guitar Solos!

Oh, I like where this is going. I have a ton, but here a couple of really safe picks that I need to name: the GOAT X has a ton of really, really memorable solos, but this is my favorite. X - Silent Jealousy One of my all time favorites. Kouichi is a GOD. Don't ever forget it. Laputa - Breath PIMP SUGIZO THE GAWD SUGIZO - SUPER LOVE and lastly (oooooh, I should have included LASTLY...) 華月 gives us a solo to remember in lost graduation
