The song itself doesn't sound bad. Reminds me of VelBet. But it's not the sound we would expect from Mamireta. I think most of us boarded the Mamireta hype train because they had that sound that was lost after Kagerou (Or Dezert's earlier work). But this song sounds generic by comparison. I wonder if it will have any harsh vocals. That other song on Kushami "囚人番号07番は愛した" just had one line with harsh vocals so we also can't say we didn't see this coming. Anyway, they're free to take whatever musical direction they want, but people who began to stan because of the "congested and drunk" vocals can also rightfully decide to get off board.

Making a thread for these guys since one hadn't been made yet, Vo.ブキミ (Bukimi) (it's Hiduki from fuckin dispina) Gt.マル (Maru) (Is also from Dispina, cause why not) ex-Ba.智依 (Tomoe) (Was in Dispina too but..Is no longer in the band causa some shit he did with a wallet) Dr.詩季 (Shiki) (Is Dispina's old drummer i think?????) They started out as とびおりくん (Tobiori Kun) which actually turned out to be ジグソウ who is secretly Dispina. PLOT TWIST. Basically this band is Dispina with a new concept and a new drummer and I love it. While not much has changed from their previous sound, it's more old school as in early 2000's visual kei and it's the shit honestly. Bukimi seems to be the "puppeteer" of the band, pulling the strings while they preform and I love it. I feel like they wanted to re-invent their stage presence but not completely change their nu-metal/ aggressive style. Funny thing is that the drums in Dispina and Jigsaw are the same if not similar drum sets? I'm thinking shiki may be their old drummer but then again I could be wrong. I wonder if Tomoe is gonna be back for that Joint Dispina live or is he fired from Dispina too? Lmao. So far they only have one Proper release, with about 10 live dist singles already. These 8 out of the 10 released, are all pieces to a Jigsaw puzzle. They are released on the consecutive numbers of each month following their Tour concept, DAY OF SHOWING THE SAME NUMBER. That tour title in mind, each and every CD contains a instrumental of the following months track so you can in short piece together the puzzle. Which is cool but fuckin extra. | How does a band that delivers the same music for over 15 years defy expectations? Like DEATHGAZE and lynch., 陰陽座 (Onmyouza) is that type of band that sticks to their guns and delivers the same style of music with each release. Also like DEATHGAZE and lynch., 陰陽座 (Onmyouza) is the kind of the band that won't do much to change your mind, no matter how many times they come knocking at your door with a new sales pitch. When I was a J-music novice, I thought being one-dimensional was a bad thing because I rated diversity much more highly than I probably should have, mostly due to the way many visual kei bands use diversity as a musical condiment. What is more important to me now is that a band delivers every time they announce a new song or album. While the two visual kei bands I mentioned earlier haven't been the paragons of consistency, 陰陽座 definitely is. There's not an album in their catalog that I would consider sub par - this is impressive with a career spanning almost twenty years and fifteen albums - and their newest album, 覇道明王, continues that trend. I'll take the time now and say that if what you've heard in the past has done nothing for you, just listen to the first track "覇王". If that does nothing for you, you are free to go. I have nothing to say that will change your mind. If, however, you have never heard of this band before or "覇王" actually caught your interest, then welcome to what is perhaps the most metal album ever. This feels like, but also far outstrips, 2007's 魔王戴天 (Maoutaiten). 覇道明王 has zero chill, and from the opening piano chords of "覇王" to the fading guitar of "無礼講", 覇道明王 has the potential to keep you hooked without wanting a pause. Unlike past albums, there's no token seven minute ballad to bore you to sleep, or attempts at infusing disparate genres like pop punk and classic rock into their distinct brand of heavy metal. It's straightforward, punishing, rewarding, and everything I never knew I really wanted from this band. Whenever I finish the intoxicating experience of listening to a new 陰陽座 album for the first time, I always wonder how the next one will surpass this one. They don't always manage to raise the bar, but they never completely shit the bed either. The last four albums in a row have consistently impressed me, but I don't think there's an album of theirs that's clicked as quickly as this one. Unfortunately, I cannot give it a perfect score because I believe it's a tad overwhelming for an initiate to sit through without wanting a breather. However, I'm confident in recommending this album to anyone that likes metal with subtle Japanese flair, dual female and male vocals, or just wants something new to listen to. This is as good of a place as any to jump in if you are unfamiliar with this band.

I like the ethereal vibe in kyo's vocals but all those synths and effects kinda ruin the track for me, especially in the percussion department. I'm all for experimentation but a more organic sound suits them far more. I mean, they're very capable musicians after all.

I bought the album, so hopefully that's enough sales for them to cancel breaking up

1st DEMO 「 衣の羽」 「 幻想華」

I started Ys 8 on the switch last week and it's really addicting. I love how well easily combat flows, exploration is fun(not overwhelming like a lot of modern games) and while it won't win any awards, the writing is decent to passable; anime tropes are present for sure, thankfully there's more to it the characters and they're mostly tolerable so far. There's a decent variety of things to do and it all gels really well and feels cohesive. I don't have a lot of negative to say about this game, graphics will be an issue for some as they are late ps2/early ps3 quality but personally I find them serviceable when in handheld mode. I tried playing docked for an hour and all of the games graphical issues are exacerbated, shading in certain areas has those blocky ps1 textures that looked bad in the 90's and slowdown becomes a problem. I've heard that the switch port is the worst in that regard though, so it's probably less of an issue on ps4/steam. I'm not too far into it, so who knows it could fall apart, but so far this is the best arpg I've played in a long time.

Couldn't agree with you more. New Onmyou-za is always a treat and I thoroughly enjoy both their consistency and each of their releases. I remember hearing Kouga Ninpuchou way back when I was an un-learned weaboo and it blew my nerdy socks off. This album is no different – It's got plenty of power, and a lot more Matatabi than usual. Whereas I can get a little 'sick' of Kuroneko's vocals after repeated listening, he never gets old for me. There's just something about his very samurai-esque voice that works so well with the music they make.
