that cover art is absolutely AWESOME, anyone know who did it? the songs just seem like standard by the numbers kiryu at this point sadly, their gimmick is kind of starting to grow stale for me

Just adding a post before this thread gets locked :P. The instrumentals are not bad, but the vocals and the mixing of the vocals is pretty bad. Some of the songs sound like the vocalist recorded in the bathroom and then dubbed over the existing track. The over-enunciated/accented Japanese has and continues to be a deal breaker for me, but that's stating the obvious. Overall, they've improved, but they need more work. (Honestly, I feel like this is the case with many gaijin-kei bands that are at least semi-talented)

Kinda glad I only witnessed the "Sonic-portion" of the soap shoe era... If I knew these were actual shoes as a child, I would've been 10x weirder than I already was.

Haunting of Hill House was fantastic. The last episode was maybe the weakest, but I loved how this series felt like a theatre play. One of the episodes in particular, since it featured no cuts, was impossible to look away from. Although it does have the horror tag, the focus aren't the ghosts or odd things happening, it's more of how all the shit affected the family and how they deal with it. The secrets of the house and stories behind the ghosts were never fully revealed, I loved that they didn't try to solve the mystery behind the origins like your usual thriller/horror. Sometimes it's best to just not. Also it carries a blatant message about mental illness which hit me hard. Acting was top notch from both adults and children. I just want to re-watch it already.

Damn, Gekka Bijin is back from the depth of hell itself 😕 I hope they remastered it again and I will be very grateful if they reduce the volume like a little bit.

My Halloween was pretty disappointing...had a lot of severe weather and tornado type stuff in the vicinity so only got to wear my costume an hour tops. (Well I like the severe weather...but not on Halloween come on!)
