    Satsuki drama

I’ve been thinking about this thread all day and can not fathom how bad things must have gotten to be kicked out of the Kisaki Project. Like, we have a whole thread of Kisaki bullshit, and someone with that much dirt on him said “yikes, you need to go” to Satsuki. Amazing / tragic because I really liked that incarnation of TKP

Title is pretty self-explanatory. Sometimes an album simply has that sweet spot where a couple of tracks that come right after the other just shine. What's everyone's favorite? Mine's gotta be this one: (too lazy to type oop)

The GazettE - NINTH [REVIEWS THREAD]

As a whole, the album didn't do much for me. And, I think this feeling comes from my frustration with Ruki. I feel like since Division Ruki has lost his handle on crafting good melodies. His parts sound more like bloat and they rarely seem to enhance the song. I can hardly remember his vocals with the exception of his performances in "Falling", "Uragiru Beru", and "Abhor God". And the other problem is his execution; it lacks any impact or conviction. His voice sounds weak and strained especially when compared to the hard hitting and energetic instrumentals. He gave much much better performances in Dogma where I didn't feel like these issues were as present. The instrumentals on the other hand are super solid. Unlike Dogma, there's a wider variety of riffs and sounds and all the tracks have a different character. Sure, from time to time I can pick out some variations of classic GazettE riffs, but it's refreshing to hear they didn't rely on their usual library of sounds. It's a real shame because I really like the album for its strong song writing, but I would rather listen to it without Ruki or a different vocalist. I'm not feeling his performance here and it just doesn't stack as strongly next to the instrumentals. I'd say if rating this just by instrumentals, it'd be like a 7.5 or 8. With vocals like a 5.5. +Highlights Abhor God - This sounded like a classic gazetto song adapted to their current style. Ruki's performance is reminiscent of his vocals on something like Stacked Rubbish and the arena style clapping gets me pumped. (I keep reading the title as Arbor God). Babylon's Taboo intro - I hear it too. The beginning sounds like something from Marilyn Manson's Holywood. The industrial vibe is just dripping from the guitars and drums.

Yes, but well I don't mind it since only like LEECH of all previous songs. 😂 But I can understand it, well maybe their next slbum has more standout songs,. composed in the great way they put inside this album. but Hopefully we don't need to wait another 3 years. Also, yes, Ruki is a nice vocalist. not the best but his voice is listenable and that was it from the very start too.

You can get some basic data and again the kanji of his name here in french https://www.nautiljon.com/people/kosaka+masato.html They won't! Trust me! 😂😂😂😂😂 They are idiots and they like being in a band. Plus there has been so many member changes already.... i think they can survive it. The only thing that could cause a problem in my opinion are the cease and desist orders.... if they spend too much money on awesome stuff, but have to trash it again. Here we have to have faith in their mitsu! 😚🧚‍♀️ Do you have their twitter now? Also try "papagao" as translation app. It is really good!

I don't think so. He is different. He still likes your status and actually replied to my support DM, saying that he wants to do more, once he gets better. But if it is mental illness, that is unlikely to happen if it's already chronic. And he did talk about dopamin and serotonin at some point during the casts, so i highly suspect that he gets bouts of depression sometimes.... Support drums mizuki was in ichiyon, so look up that band! Raika did session lives as hazuki before. I actually still follow his session account, that is now locked, but he still tweets about pokemon go and an upcoming session live there... he actually replies DM and is very cute. But yeah, the cute young one of the band! He is so shy and akward! Really cute. Masato and Pton ~30 years

Yeah, Babylon’s Taboo sounds like it could have been written by any number of western nu metal bands in the early ‘00s. Ninth is really strange. Like I said, I don’t necessarily like it more than Dogma, but I’ve listened to it more in the past two days than I did when Dogma first came out. The variety in the tracks and shorter run time are huge positives here, as Dogma being a heavy slog for 50 minutes straight didn’t always sit well. Real problem is there’s nothing on Ninth that even approaches songs like Dogma or Undying in terms of composition. And yeah, Ruki’s lack of creativity is a downer. Nice to hear Reita again (he got buried in Dogma) and Kai is a fucking beast!

I think Uruha mixed the intro. anyways the only thing that i like from the album version of falling compared to the mv version is that you can clearly hear the bass I wish this album had a Dogma type of production.

[Album Review] The GazettE - Ninth

So, Ninth is out and what I've mostly read online is that it is not at the same level as Dogma, it's generic, it's been heard before, bla bla bla... so I tried it out asap and wrote an overall review, (don't expect a song-by-song musical analysis). I have to agree on one thing with the negative critics: Dogma was the shit on a technical level, but the more I play it the more it feels like a single long song. I distinctly remember playing it for the first time and asking myself "when is this song ending, sounds like a freakin' Versailles song", only to check the iPod and realize it was already on track three. Sure, Ninth sounds like "shit we've heard before", but the album on it's own is more diverse, soundwise, and has ups and downs. I rated songs while I went through it with 4 stars and others with 2, 3's and a 5 along the way. Dogma was a flat three. All the way. For Dogma, none of the tracks sucked but none was outstanding for me either. Which is not a good thing because I honestly never even remember what the album sounds like (the album and the singles related to the concept). And every time I play it to see if I magically start liking it I get bored and switch to something else halfway. Ninth, however, felt more... Complete? Catchy? Memorable? Your pick. It was definitely something else. I can distinctly remember which tracks stood out for me and which ones I disliked. Whereas for Dogma I cannot even tell them apart. Sure, it's generic GazettE, it's stuff we all know, it's familiar. But more importantly: it works. Structures work together to make songs memorable, in good or bad ways. And, tbh, I feel if any other band would have released this it would have been probably praised. But since it's Ruki's distinct voice attached to those riffs people get a "déjà vu(heard)" feel. And, being the popular band it is, the bar is always high when it comes to them. While Dogma was a good dive into darker, heavier waters, I always felt their execution of it was not as proficient or distinctive as it could have been. While, for me, Ninth nailed it. You can always try new things, and I'm all for bands attempting new styles, but sometimes it can be better to go back to a safer zone and kill it than keep attempting at something new and do it halfway. And Ninth is good proof of it. I get the more versatile feel I got from albums like Nil and Stacked Rubbish, in a more mature, polished and 2018-ish way. The tracks that stood out for me were Falling, Utsusemi, Sono Koe wa Moroku and Unfinished (a banger, way to finish an album). I did not pay attention to the first version of Falling and I will certainly not do it now, but this version gave me a better impression (it could be the transcode-decent bitrate difference rather than the mixing itself). It's catchy and modern enough for a PV and the composition has Ruki all over it. I'm a sucker for good rock ballads and Sono Koe wa Moroku was melodic enough without going on a chopped-onion level of cornyness. Utsusemi and Unfinished were just straight up my alley; strong yet not overly harsh on the voice. Ninth Odd Smell and Gush sadly blend together a bit too much for my taste yet both are solid tracks that will most likely grow on me and Babylon's Taboo was barely... bearable. The SE track was terrible, but their SE's rarely are my taste at all. The Mortal has a mystic feel to it and to me it carries on the atmosphere from the previous releases, with a pleasant twist. Abhor God is powerful and thankfully short, otherwise I'd feel it drags on more than necessary. I feel it will be a great song live. Two of a Kind felt like a "fresh old Gazette" and Uragiru Bero fitted the album nicely to, but didn't catch my attention that much, felt like a filler track. The album showed both a heavier side yet was kept melodic and reminded me a lot of Division, one of their best releases imho. Like it, it was packed with both harsh and softer aspects and shows maturity and improvement. Overall I give it a 4/5, and I will most likely buy it in Japan in a few months. Otherwise I'll get the iTunes version. It's a great release and if you felt lately that GazettE was getting stale you should definitely try this album. It is unmistakably The GazettE, yet fresh and modern.

I mean they still have ぞんび right? I was kind of thinking same thing but I'm sure Euclid is more than fine in terms of money at least. Whether people like it or not, GB is the most relevant vkei band in Japan. They sell out big venues and get all those karaoke bucks. Plus, their faces are on everything. (and I do mean everything, as in like condom boxes...)

The stories of him talking to underaged girls, trying to hook up at shows through staff and giving out fangirl gifts to other fangirls are at this point like years, if not almost a decade old. He just generally seems like an unlikeable dude considering almost no one in Japan associates with him anymore ( at least to my knowledge ) and that's it really? When you're forced to tour Europe in the latter half of the 2010's as a career move then you're in trouble.

I wish Josh Wilbur would have mixed the whole album not just the FALLING mixed that was released in the 10th of march. coz that mix is 10times better than the album production Coz apparently they didn’t have time to do it with Josh Wilbur so they chose a different producer
