D has partnered up with the popular convenience store chain 7 Eleven to enable customers to print out 36 different bromide photos from their in-store printing kioks. In celebration of their 15th anniversary and the 10th anniversary of their major debut, customers can print out photos from D's live performance for 200Y a print, six different images for each member and six different full-band photos. This gallery was once called MYV_Pics and was housed on GreatestJournal, then moved to LiveJournal, and is now finding a third home here on Monochrome Heaven. These images were gathered many years ago, and currently range the years of 2002 to 2010. While I am not a huge fan of current Miyavi (and no longer gather images of him), I felt that I would be doing the Japanese music community a disservice if I allowed these pictures to be lost, so I have painstakingly moved almost 4,000 of them from Photobucket to Imgur, and have even added a few new ones that never made it to the LiveJournal gallery. Also, I have 4 magazines' worth of scans that were originally tagged to not be reposted. These will be put in a separate post. It's been 10 years or more since they were originally uploaded, so I'm thinking the original scanners might be okay with a repost now? If not, if they're here and want them taken down, I will do so (originally the gallery linked to the posts for these images on the community Miyavi_Daily, but with LJ being a ghost town now, I didn't think that would work here). Yes ... although 7 Eleven is WAY better in Japan, as are most convenience stores. You can get legit meals there and also live tickets, though I prefer Lawson's ticketing machines.

stream or own a physical copy, i don't care, altho physical copies mean a lot more to me if I actually care about the band. as for buying digital releases, that's much easier since it's much cheaper than paying $50 for shipping and shit.

I agree but maybe our reasons are different. These are mine. The argument for more diversity in media is that it reflects real life. But once again, people confuse diversity for flipping the status quo. There's nothing wrong with a show featuring a majority white cast if that's what the story calls for. There's nothing wrong with a show featuring a majority black cast if that's what the story calls for. There's nothing wrong with a show featuring a majority asian cast if that's what the story calls for. Game of Thrones was written in 1996, inspired heavily by English history and especially The War of The Roses. Of course it's going to feature mostly white people! It should not matter as long as the show is good, and it is a very good adaptation. It's refreshing to see things like Black Panther but representation in media is not some zero-sum game where some group has to suffer. That's such an archaic and outmoded way of looking at the world.

I didn't see this posted yet, so I figured I'd do it just cuz. It was announced on January 25th that the guys would be releasing a new album in April. According to the site there is no track names yet but it will have 11 songs. They also announced a tour (rather short even for Japan) that spans across a few cities in Japan with a total of 5 shows for the release of the album. My concern is that the news hasn't taken off as much as Bakemono did when it was announced. I've noticed a decline in the views on their videos as well. I'm not sure if it's because of the stigma around their departed drummer, poor marketing, or a combination of both. Does anyone have any info on these venues and how large they are or what their capacity is? Maybe this new album will rock people's socks off enough to get them up in the game again. Thoughts?

I went to Lux's last one-man last week, and I'm so glad I did <3 I also went to their instore! I wrote a bit about it for whoever's interested! Instore the live I didn't follow them as long or as closely as some other bands, but I fucking love them <3 I'm super glad Mio joined too like, they were fun the first time I saw them, but I like had a fever that day so I couldn't get as into it since I was feeling pretty terrible. But despite how I felt I really enjoyed them so I knew I'd def love them when I was healthy. The only thing that bothered me was that they didn't have a drummer. Like when a band doesn't have an actual drummer or bassist, it feels weird to me, unless they have a long-term support or something. So it felt a bit off to me. But the second time I saw them was after Mio joined and like everything clicked into place and fit so perfectly!! And then disbandment T_T It was really fucking sad cos like I had JUST fallen super in love with them and then they announced their disbandment and there were only a few lives left and even fewer I could go to since they're an Osaka band T_T I'm glad I was able to go to Osaka to see their last live though <3 it was definitely fucking worth everything. Thank you, @hiroki, for sharing this band with me <3
