new band "ダリ" (Dali) (no, not the UCP one or the one with Kameleo members) will hold their sponsored live on February 5 at Fukuoka graf. They are being advertised as a new band ((lololol)), but I believe it's actually the Under Code band making a comeback...I can't find any more information about them at this time. :))))

true also they have a oneman already planned for fucking SEPTEMBER so that gives me hope that they know what they're doing/are vets in the industry. this is fucking killing me tbh ren is a depression art god I NEED ha back!!!!!

All planned lives are in a different area of the country than Dali was in, so make of that what you will. The logo does look similar to Dali’s first logo though. interdasting 🤔

She's really happy that there are so many people from overseas who like them! I'm allowed to post her twitter on here, so please feel free to contact her if you want some merchandise/cheki/CD! Her address is @ beautifulparade You can write her in English, German and Japanese Please remember that she does shopping services for JILUKA only!

Gosh, I forgot how fucking amazing the Inuyasha soundtrack is. It's a shame not many of the orchestra performances of it implement the traditional Japanese instruments that were used in the making of the soundtrack, because the various flutes, Koto and Biwa used really make it shine.

ugh i want to believ it's ucp dali but the bands they're playing w/ are complete nobodies?? surely ren & the rest have better connections than this...

There was another band called ダリ as well around the time the UNDER CODE band started, though they did not last very long. The vocalist and guitarist went on to form KAMELEO. If this is the UNDER CODE Dali, though, I find it interesting that they've reverted back to their name in katakana and not romaji. The logo for their OHP does have a similar placement of the characters, compared to Dali's original logo, though, with ダ being slightly higher than リ. Summoning @inartistic!

Their new album "Hagakure" is planned to be released on 2018.03.17. Album's description from the video : "Bloody Tyrant's upcoming album HAGAKURE, set to be released in 2018, has differed from the previous fast, aggressive musical direction, and has instead changed into more of a folk metal influence while exploring the mysterious sense of Japanese zen style. The new album HAGAKURE talks about the minds of the samurai, philosophy of life and death, and subjectively ruminate and reflect upon the ways of the samurai."

I'm inclined to believe that this is UCP Dali too, but like...they're with these newbies for whatever reason and I just have this feeling that we've found Dali #3 (same case with Vice Risk, anemone, Mirage, other name rehashes)....

    Your First Favorite VK Band

I could almost copy and paste what u wrote but with me it happened in 2009. I came across this german magazine called popcorn that was sold in a shop close to my middle school (yes I was that young). I saw an cafe on this calendar (this was january) and I thought they looked so different and very loud and colourful so I gave them a listen and was hooked from then on. I quickly got into d=out, sug, alice nine, gazette, dio and others. Haven't stopped listening since.

Dude, I wish I knew this forum and this thread before going to Japan. There are so many gold nuggets in here, I loved reading everyone's experiences. Last year when I went to Japan I was literally a n00b. I never knew there is this certain "etiquette" to follow at concerts. Night buses were my best friends at one point during my year abroad. I'm usually super car-sick and it gets ugly, but I don't know what magic Japanese buses use, but I wasn't sick at all in them. The prices are kind of tricky, the sites I used required some "hunting" for cheap tickets XD (I used this little fellow here most of my year abroad http://willerexpress.com/en/ and also this bad boy : http://www.jrbuskanto.co.jp.e.wn.hp.transer.com/ ) They were really easy because you could either pay at any conbini or by credit card. Also the bringing little gifts to other fans at the venue was so foreign for me. I felt so lost when some girls came up to me like "Here have these candies" XD. But good thing I came to Japan with some Romanian sweets and I impressed everyone with "exotic" treats XD. If you're good at drawing you can gift people little drawings of the band you're fan of or something related to the concert you're seeing (I saw people all pros and printing them on nice paper and all that ). And I liked the idea of giving bands little gifts or letters, to be honest. I used to find amusing the fact that there were boxes in the venue where you could put your presents. But it's cute nevertheless. I would mostly stick with traditional sweet treats, letters and maybe small things like I don't know a key chain or whatever. But I've certainly seen expensive gifts there like clothes of big brands. My exchange student ass didn't have that much money, but by all means, do you boo boo :). Oh and other concepts that I can't wrap my head around even today are "irimachi" and "demachi". Basically waiting for the band to come in and out of the venue before and after the concert. I mean, I kind of get "demachi" (waiting for them to come out after the concert) because it gets all exciting and you get to squeal around with everyone else, but "irimachi" (waiting for them to arrive at the venue) is so tiring to me. But I get the excitement I guess? I mean you get to wave at your favs and give them letters and presents if you have the chance. It's really cute if you befriend some nice fans and you get to chat with them. Another big tip for me was to make friends with older fans, because if you're nice enough and you like each other's company, they might give you some rare old merch that you never though you'd ever get your hands on and also you can find some old insiders facts and stories about the band XD

I think in some capacity, I've convinced myself that if I can care about all of the world's problems, even ones I am not even going to remotely be able to fix or help with, that when I need it most, the world will care about me back. Chris and I get into fights about that all the time. I want to fix the world, he's content with acknowledging most people in life are inherently evil and you need to be on guard.

This band is like Angelo to me. Well known scene veterans, but with incredibly boring compositions. Everything sounds good by itself and you can't deny these guys are talented, but it's just so unmemorable. Something's missing.
  43. 1 point
Thing is, those guys are way above average musicians but the majority of their output is mediocre at best. They have set up all time high expectations, and most of the time failed to deliver (except for the mindblowing Inhale)... This ain't bad for your regular half baked vk act, but for a superstar team like this one is disappointing, to say the least.

One of the things I've struggled with fairly recently is being happy for someone who I do not personally care for. It's a weird sensation of feeling two different, and often contrasting, emotions at once. The biggest struggle is not the ability to do so (a lot harder for me to not feel something, rather than getting myself to have some sort of expression), but to not convince myself that I should feel guilty about it. "This person was bad. Why are you celebrating something good in their life?" I think part of being able to let go is being at peace with this duality. It is okay to remove yourself from a person while also not wishing them harm. At the same time, wishing them well and being happy for their victories is not an invite to allow them into your life and harm you again. The situation I'm vague blogging about is my ex's sister. I've never actually met her, but from the few interactions I've had around her have not been positive. She's married to some son-of-a-super-church-owner or something in Colorado, making tons of money selling faith (this is an incredibly weighted, but different, issue, but I'm more sharing this for the context of her character). When she was getting married, she invited me because ~she had to~; she later called him to rescind the invitation. "He'd make other guests uncomfortable," she said. Needless to say I was pretty upset. I asked him to get her to change her mind. Eventually she did, but I was told to act like his friend, rather than his significant other (again, to not ruin the experience for the other guests). At that point, I uninvited myself and said it was not worth the hassle. I came out once and had no intention of revisiting that experience, so I just didn't go. ---Today--- She had a baby. I am not on speaking terms with my ex, and I don't talk to any of his friends or relatives simply because I have nothing to say to them, and I definitely do not speak to her. However, I am still happy that she had her baby without any issue. I saw a few pictures and she (her new daughter) looked cute, and I wish both of them the best. So here I am, hours before I share Christmas with my current partner and his family before heading home, pondering about whether it is right or foolish that I am feeling like this. It's toxic to dwell over those who have been a source of pain in the past, but just as harmful to fully forget. Ultimately, I will be okay, but I still don't like her.
