just some further details regarding why her twitter account was how it was @patientZERO@Shmilly-- Uran and Setsuna were in a relationship until she found out that he was engaged, and then finally married to someone else, which prompted her to dump all the information you see on that twitter. apparently his wife had found out about their relationship and snapped, and in turn Setsuna finally told her about his wife. as you've noticed, even after this he was continuing to pine about Uran on twitter and such, tweeting something like "i want to be one with Uran in any form, any world", despite the fact that he is married to another woman. so yeah, not only is this dude at least complicit in the death of a 20 year old woman but he's got a wife who will have to deal with the consequences of his choices, too. (i wanted to include this info but it was like 5:30 am when i posted, sorry!) as a side note, he told police that his occupation was part-timing so the genre and band scene isn't actually mentioned at all, at least not in any of the articles i've spotted.

[1] In this whole section Yoshito secretly inscribes the names of the band members, including the ex-members as a wordplay. Of course, it wasn't possible to translate this section while keeping the names in so I just translated it normally. The creepy thing is her Twitter profile that states 'I wish to be reborn and marry Keisuke in my next life'. I wonder if that has implications. It seems from some of the pictures on Twitter that they were in a relationship of some kind, there's Disney pictures and all. Maybe she wanted a more serious relationship but he wasn't ready for it, so she decided to kill herself?

Thanks for this! Seems that so many of post-2013 songs were recollections of their careers, and kind of farewell letters to the fans. If 10+1 was a think piece on the band lifespan, this is a reminiscence on the people that made it happen. It's really nice to see that all the past members left in good terms with the remaining ones, many of them are yoshito's personal friends. Sukekiyo, I love you all. But this is the first time I’ve wanted to tell you to go fuck yourselves. Like, you somehow made it hard for me to remember the original composition for Gerbera. You’ve got the chord progression there (kind of), and Kyo sings an actual melody from the original that one time. What is the rest of this? Why does the second half sound like something Kaoru wrote and subsequently threw away during the DSS sessions? I’M SO CONFUSED.

They already did that last year. I would love a full soroban revival tho yes.

Same. I loved the game and it just lost me over time with all the summoning, super long effects set in like 2 pt. type, 12 star synchro monsters, etc. I still come back to it from time to time but I'm not into the super overpowered OTK shit. I miss the good old days ) :

I could never get into Legacy of the Duelist. It's just so lazily made. (Much like most of KONAMI'S more modern YGO games) I wish they would just stick to the Tag Force style and build on that instead of constantly cutting corners :T But yea, because of that, and also other reasons, I'll stick to YGOPRO I'd love to play an official online game if they actually made a good one lol.

I know this topic is pretty much dead, but I thought I'd mention a band no one has brought up. Most of us probably know these guys. Cuartet. They were Climax Enterprise's flagship band, and kind of represented the transition period between 90's and 2000's vkei. Before that, there was sort of an industrial-influenced sound mixed with a little punk being seen in bands like Gill'e Cadith and some of Kagerou, which then would be emulated in The GazettE and Cuartet (which, I'm sure we know are connected due to Saki and Ruki having a band together, and initially being produced by the same guy). During this early era, many bands were mixing sounds together, and Cuartet, being the Dir en Grey and Kagerou stans they are, kind of went into a Nu-Metal sound, but still keeping a bit of the post-punk and thrash metal influence the 90's had. In some songs, it even sort was more of a groove-metal sound, giving vibes similar to Machine Head. Though I'm not sure whether that's coincidental, or on purpose. I wish I could find more bands like Cuartet. So far, only Etcetera comes to mind, but they're way less Nu Metal. Also while Saki isn't the best vocalist, he carries a tune way better than Yukika did, and there weren't any audible deep breaths. I seriously need more early 2000's Nu-Metal Transition-Kei. It seems as if transition-kei that ISN'T Nu Metal is much easier to find. Saki continued with the Nu-Metal schtick, though I haven't listened to his current band enough to know whether he's still doing it, or progressed onto core.

MIZTAVLA will perform on December 26, and 優冴 (yuugo) (グリーヴァ (grieva)) will act as their special guest drummer.

One of the things I really enjoy about RAZOR is their ability to combine hard-hitting djent-inspired riffs with catchy melodies and electronic elements. Despite the occasional chaotic composition on RAZOR's work the members' individual talent and catchy vocals gets their songs stuck in my head. In contrast to @BrenGun's comment, I would say that Ryoga actually has a pretty recognizable voice in the VK scene - especially when it comes to his range of growls and shouts that find themselves halfway between clean vocals and full-on screaming. As for this mini, I wasn't as taken with ROAD as others seem to be, and the ballad was too long to earn many listens from me, but I really enjoyed all of the other tracks. 消えない痛み is a solid RAZOR track, and I can see why it earned a PV - despite sticking fairly closely to standard territory a la DNA or LIQUID VAIN, the chorus is memorable and gets stuck in your head, and it's a decent showcase for the sound RAZOR are becoming known for. イノセンス is definitely a standout with that oppressive atmosphere in the chorus, and quite experimental for what the band has put out so far. Labyrinth also has that catchy chorus that immediately hooked me (perhaps because it reminds me of one of the songs Ryoga performed with the all-star PSC session band WK on their live-dist release). Finally, I think その後の世界 would be great live and could fit in well at either the beginning or the end of the set. All in all, I think the CORE is a really solid release and showcases more diversity than their first mini, which served instead to define their sound. It'll be difficult to top RED INVISIBLE for the sheer surprise factor and consistency (it blew my expectations for this lineup out of the water) but it's great to see RAZOR expanding their sound and retaining the quality in both composition and production that they led with from the start.

Have you guys listened to MERRY's version of 家路 yet? And if you did, did you like it? Personally, I really liked it. It's one of the highlights of the MUCC tribute album for me. That got me thinking that with all the stuff MERRY released in 2017, we finally have enough material for an entire MERRY album of covers from other artists. (chronologically) 2002 - Strength Beyond Strength 2007 - PRECIOUS... 2009 - 伊勢佐木町ブルース 2009 - 学生街の喫茶店 2010 - 皆殺しのメロディ 2010 - 新宿ナナ 2010 - オデッセイ・1985・SEX 2011 - Schweinの椅子 2012 - 悪の華 2017 - SO... 2017 - 家路 That's quite a lot! I think only MUCC got them beat for "official" studio version covers. At least as far as V系 bands go. There's also the debatable inclusion of シャ乱Q's 上・京・物・語, but that one doesn't count, right? Anyway, which one is your favorite cover version? Which ones do you dislike? Personally, I think it's reallyyyy hard to beat 伊勢佐木町ブルース, but I love 新宿ナナ and オデッセイ・1985・SEX. The ones I'm not really hot about are Strength Beyond Strength and Schweinの椅子, and I think that's about it. MERRY usually does really well performing other people's songs. I kinda wish they did even more covers, MERRY almost always leave their personal mark and that's pretty cool. The next single could use a brand new b-side and another old-school cover.
