I was reading that part all wrong. He's pointing out that he wasn't nice to members of the band/staff (and fans) and he couldn't grow as an artist BECAUSE of the band. Not in-leu of the band. AKA: they kicked him out, but since he's the leader, he can't say it that way.

It bothers me that Malice Mizer has and probably will never reunite and make another album. I think they would have already had the financial prospects been attractive enough, but I've always believed money was the reason they broke up in the first place (too much overhead), and Mana is fine with doing M10M. Cheaper band to run and he keeps the lion's share of the money. But I don't like M10M and Kozi's ZIZ band is awful. I wish Mana could talk Klaha into quitting his job at the car wash or whatever the hell he does these days and give it one more go. Yu~Ki is probably bartending or something, he can't get one night a week off to practice? Come on. I'd also love a Die in Cries reunion but that won't happen because of D'erlanger.

I don't know the other bands, but HATED were an amazing nagoya band from the mid-2000s, the vocalist went on to meth. which was decently popular for a short while. I'm sure there's still some downloads around here on the forum or the net for their maxi-single.

I want to address something that I feel needs to be. I'm sorry for how cringey I was during my first few months on this forum, with my weird fan theories, and my lowkey highkey defending of Kisaki. I was younger (granted, it wasn't THAT long ago) and more stupid, but I'm a young adult now, and I'm trying to move past from that. I recognise how much of an idiot I was, and I am actively trying to improve. I'm taking more responsibility for myself here, and I've been trying to actually provide more reliable info on stuff as of recent, especially since I have friends within the Japanese VisualKei scene now (one, who I view dearly as a brother of mine, is in a small indie band, and actually sometimes volunteers to work with bigger (compared to his. Usually bands like the AINS bands) bands). I also recognise that I used to be a bit of an attention whore here, though I didn't realise it at the time until VERY recently. The most recent incident was negligible, since it was more of a speculation based on actual logic. I don't think it compares to the stuff I've said in the past that I am authentically ashamed of, and am trying to look past. I'm sorry to those I have angered in the past, or have given a really bad first impression of myself to. I hope you forgive me. And if you still won't give me a 2nd chance, well that's totally fine. But I'm not leaving any time soon. I'm willing to give those who were mean to me due to the shit I said a 2nd chance though. Just know I'm not the same person I was in 2016 (and yes, I know that sounds so stereotypical, but hear me out, ok? I dealt with some personal shit between then and now that made me realise I should probably work on being a better person.)

tsubasa was a good bassist so im sad about this and issei's compositions were good...this a NO NO i wonder whether they'll become more or less visual, tbh issei's simple drumming was holding them back but tsubasa's bass work added that toshiya-style complexity and made them like....new DEG kohai band potential. interesting shake up overall

also @ZeusComing here to set the facts about Dir en grey straight: This is incorrect, Setsuna was a WIP project song by Dir en grey that developed over the course of 1997 (starting out as 5 minutes and evolving into a nearly 7 minute track) until finally being scrapped in the first half of 1998 for reasons unknown. Whether Setsuna was an official title or one given to it by fans is still subject to speculation. "Ai Murasaki Iro" Is in fact pronounced "Ranshishoku" based on a newspaper interview which I scanned and upped some year ago from a indie magazine made in early 1998. I know this due to the fact that the name was written out in katakana. It's the onyomi pronunciation of the same kanji. They played this song at every oneman live starting from August 1997 until their last indies live at the Budokan, after which it was scrapped due to poor audience response, supposedly. They had another unreleased longer track that they played throughout the second half of 1997 and on and off into early 1998 which then subsequently disappeared as well. No known title for this track. There was an early version of Mazohyst of Decadence played from 1997 which differed slightly. raison detre had a early quite different version which premiered at their oneman tour in late 1997 and evolved into it's current form during 1998. ZAN is also one of the earliest songs they wrote, and it was played from their first tour in april 1997 and onwards in various stages of evolution until it arrived at the GAUZE form in late 1998. Tsumi to Batsu was also performed during their last indies tour in a slightly different format. They also premiered two new songs at the DUM SPIRO SPERO and Kisou part of the recent tour respectively which haven't been mentioned or played since. I could go on but I think that'll do for now.

oh hey, someone mentioned ナイトメア on here and i get to be relevant again~ i'm taking a guess and assuming your copy of ジャイアニズム is the 2006 VAP remaster, which in my opinion sounds absolutely terrible. 通常版 is two jewel cases w/ tan booklets (& separate catalog #s) [VPCC-84156 & VPCC-84157] 初回版 is one jewel case w/ the same tan-coloured booklet in a black jacket w/ gold trim [VPCC-84155] They're the same audio/tracklist, only difference afaik is packaging & booklet contents. i don't know why they thought this was a good idea but this release was remastered to have a similar sound quality to メア's upcoming VAP albums, which i really don't think these songs sound nice with. i'm not 100% on where this PV actually comes from but i'm taking a guess & saying it was included w/ the first press of 自由奔放天真爛漫 [SDR-021], since that's the first release where the track shows up. So as far as getting the ~exact same~ audio that's on the PV, check out that disc. One thing you might want to look into is the 2003 Speed Disk 'original' ジャイアニズム [SDR-049 & SDR-050] (only 1 ver. of release across two jewel cases). I say 'original' bc every track that's on this disc is ALSO a remaster (except for 華談 & love tripper; they're new recordings here) but imho this master is miles better for every single track, compared to both their first appearances on various speed disk singles/omnibus and any later remaster/retakes. I'm a bit biased here but this is definitely my favourite release of メア's catalog, if you call it one release. I think the sound guy took every instrument's track & slammed a hard compressor on it & drowned Yomi's voice in a stupid amount of reverb, putting it kinda low down in the mix. Both the kind of decisions that should ruin a release but somehow it worked super well here, which is why i'm so pissed the later release went for such a 'normal' approach instead.

Takashi Miike live-action adaption of Blade of the Immortal looks so fucking sweet. Miike is the perfect director of a film like this too, as he's gonna make the entire film a big, fucking bloodbath. Can't wait!

Fuck this album was trashed by people back in the day, and now it's pretty much entirely forgotten about; all the while I thought it was great pretty much from day one and still spin it on occasion. The aesthetics have this sort of ill-dated charm to them now too.

That project is finally finished. It was hell putting it together in Unreal Engine 4 and it's not my best work at all, but I'm happy that I managed to complete it and the outcome isn't as bad as it could've been. I'll be working on it as a personal project now in my spare time.

I was diagnosed with Charcot Marie Tooth (CMT) at 18 months old. CMT is a degenerative neuromuscular dirorder that effects the myelin sheath around the nerves. Motor signals don't get sent as well to the muscles, it bt becomes harder to use them, and eventually you forget what it was ever like to use them. CMT gets progressively worse and starts at the fingers and toes and works its way up over the years. I still have some function in my shoulders, hips, neck, and torso, but I can't use any muscles in my legs or arms. Things my specific type of CMT affects (We think it's all related) My vocal chords are partially paralyzed, so my voice sounds like the bastard lovechild of Gollum and Darth Vader. My eyeballs are broke. My vision without glasses is about 20/300 without glasses, 20/100 with. I'm legally blind. My diaphragm is slightly weaken, so I can't breathe in or out as strongly and pretty bad stress, anxiety, and depression from all this and knowing it's going to get worse. The cool ways I adapt and cope I use the tip of my nose to use phones/tablets/anything with a touchscreen. It works really well (especially since I have to be that close to see the screen anyways), and I use a toothbrush in my mouth to type on a regular computer. Playing video games is fun, and I play Overwatch a lot with @Zeus I sit on the floor in front of the monitor, use a mouse on the floor on my right (moving and clicking buttons with my palm), an xbox controller on the floor in front of me (using the left joystick to move/click in for an ability), and the toothbrush keyboard method to type/hit keys for abilities etc. I try to deal with all the anxiety and depression by throwing myself into working on RarezHut. I know I must seem to a lot of people that I only use MH to mostly promote RarezHut, but constantly working is how I stat (mostly) sane. I wouldn't be here today if it wasn't for @Biopanda though. He works as my caregiver, co-owner of RarezHut, and my best friend in the world. We've been roommates and he's been helping me since 2008, and I'm surprised we haven't killed eachother yet since we see eachother every day all day. Every day he helps me get dressed, eat meals, take a shower, even as simple as grabbing something from across the room. Panda has been there at my darkest moments when the weight of everything and the knowledge that there is no light at the end of the tunnel causes me to just collapse into a quivering mess of tears.

Gackt was just one of three different singers Malice Mizer had, he had nothing to do with their breakup. Never heard that rumor before; 100% started by a western fan who was pulling stuff out of her ass. Anyone with a musical ear can tell that Mana and Kozi had no hand in writing Gackt's solo material. Apples and Oranges. Gackt was likely not at Kamis funeral for the reason listed in my reply below. I don't know what official statements Gackt, Mana, or Kozi have made because we don't really need to, ya know? None of them will tell you what occam's razor will, because it's not flattering to either party. Nippon Columbia decided that Malice Mizer were small potatoes and Gackt was the star. And they were right! Gackt wrote the highest charting single on Mervilles, Le Ciel, which also happened to be the most commercial song on the album. Gackt had the great voice, incredible looks, a legion of female fans and he wrote the biggest hit on the album. He was poised for stardom, Malice Mizer could hold him back. So Nippon Columbia put their money on Gackt solo and ditched the band, and their gamble paid off in spades. People tend to gloss over/forget, possibly due to Kamis death, that not only did Malice Mizer's label give Gackt a solo deal, but they dropped Malice Mizer. That wasn't a coincidence. It is what it is. I hate Gackt solo, but wouldn't trade Bara no Seidou or the Klaha singles for anything. I just wish we'd get one more album out of MM.... instrumental, with Klaha, a new singer... I don't care.
