They published their new look some minutes ago.

To be honest I was afraid the current tour MUCC are doing will end up cringy, with the string band and the fancy hall venues and all. But boy was I wrong. It was definitely different, but they did it just right - the strings weren't over the top (except in Daikirai, which was hilarious but also kinda cool and actually worked??), the piano added a nice touch to some of the songs and the setlist was just perfect for the more formal atmosphere. Going to the tour finale tonight, hope they change it up a bit for the enseiers (there were many of them this time, since the tour only had 5 dates - easymode!).

I want to express my gratitude to people regularly updating us on bands that are yet to release their first one-coin comment CD going through member changes/unexpected creative disagreements/live-limited hiatus announcements, etc keeping tr*mbe spirit alive, god bless

This is a question for anyone who is living or has lived in Japan and gone to lives here. Have you found yourself listening to songs for the first time and heard some part of the music that makes you think you know which common furitsuke movement happens there? Just today I was listening to an old Gazette B-side and thought at one point, "this part feels like oritatami." It's been happening a lot in the past couple of weeks for bands I've never even seen live before and I'm curious if others have experienced it.

From what I understood, their drummer 椿季 (tsubaki) has been fired on 2017.10.10 as the band have lost contact with him since 2017.09.21.

Hey there everyone! I'm pretty new to the forum sorta, I've lurked for years (lots of years haha) just keeping up to date with reviews for some of my favourite bands. I don't have the most uppity of tastes (SCREW used to be my favourite band haha) but that doesn't mean I don't appreciate quality. I'm currently hugely into bands like abstracts and (Yo can I get a shout out for Ryouga and RAZOR tho) the djent scene, though I do appreciate a lot of metalcore. I also listen to J-Rap but KOHH mostly so please introduce me to some more. I took a year of Japanese during my Biochem Degree and pretty much use podcasts/music to try and learn more and more. I'm not a huge manga reader but I read the mainstream ones (hence Kuki Urie profile pic). I lived in Hiroshima for a month as an exchange student and am planning on making use of the Japan-Canada holiday work visa to go see some shows next year. (All my favourite bands keep disbanding eg. HaKu, BORN, 7Years To Midnight, Story of Hope #fml) I recently discovered I have bipolar disorder so if anyone ever wants to chat about mental health, I'm definitely down for a convo. I play guitar, some covers might find their way on to Youtube, but I think that's all I've got for now. If anyone can point me in the direction of the 外国人 currently living in Japan part of the forum I have a few questions there, mainly where's the best place to be situated if I wanna go to metal shows every weekend while I'm there haha. Wonder Woman - Much better than expected and a decent superhero film, but if this exact film was made by a male the hype train would not be so big. It's an original film without much origin information, way too much slow-mo and cheap-ass CGI. It takes an incredible amount of time to get going, and when it gets going it's just one poorly directed action scene after another. And even when it takes its time, like in the first half, it doesn't do much at all. It's kinda just there. There's some cool and different action scenes in the film, but the majority are ruined by poor CGI and/or slow-mo. Now this sounds incredibly negative, but I thought it was decent entertainment. But there's no chance in the world it deserves its grand reviews and ratings. Doctor Strange - This however is exactly how you make a superhero film. First off, Doctor Strange never feels very super. And just that alone makes it stand out a bit in the huge world of superheroes we've got today. There is some doggy CGI here, but what really makes the majority of CGI work fairly well is that it never tries to look real. The visuals is fairly trippy and weird, the origin story feels like an origin story and its tone is just very different from most other films. By far the most artistic and out-there MCU film yet. Visually it feels a bit like a trippy Inception at times, only this isn't pure filth as Inception is. It's actually fairly pleasant to look at.

Given that he's been doing solo lives for a while now and they've seem to have gone over just fine, I think most of the hate is isolated to 2 girls on tanuki and a handful of salty overseas peeps XD

Sakitooooo! SniF for some reason this new made me smile and feel happy, I think he has become "himself" and express himself more since he started this solo proyect. I read reports of the lives sakito did and apparently he seemed more relax and happier. I don´t know how true that is but for all the crazy comming and goins he does to be in all the events he plans in seems to me Sakito is truly trying hard and enjoing himself too. Well I think it would benatural if there is some kind of rivalery between them and their solo projects, but I think they are all still trying to support each other, resently sakito posted a picture with hitsugi and hitsugi also went to sakito birthday live and brought him a cake on satage and ni-ya sang (and broke ears) happy birthday. They all seem to still respect each other and support each other. or atleast for me. Ruka was allways the one that would be kind of aloof. I remember than in allot of dvds or videos Ruka would always arrive by himself on a taxi or in his own car (he has expensive cars) While the rest alot of times would arrive in a van together like alot of memebers of japanes bands drove by a staff memeber in charge of picking them up. and in some of the afther parties Ruka eat with other people and not with them. But they did had fun together. They didn´t invented the hand elephant aloneXD I think right now they all had to much of something good(like eating your favorit scream until you get sick), and need a rest from each oother, like the song says, everyone need a little time away, and then they will come back for their 20th aniversary. Yomi might not make as many lives for his throat condicion, studio recording recuires less efort than live (I´ve on singig lessons for years already) they would take the nightmare official web from their advertisments if they didn´t wanted people to still know about them and nightmare. I just hope stargazer is a lovely son like world end and the song that sakito wrote and compossed for nightmare like simple life and jibun no hana. p.d: I want to know sakito skin care I want to look as young as he does at age 32 when I reach 32 in 12 years. p.d 2: and by the way... Teketeke is the name of an urban legend in Japan of a girl who got cut in half by a train. She goes around walking on her hands (her name is the onomatopoeia for the sound of her hands slapping on the ground as she runs) and stealing the bottom half of the people who walk over the bridge to the train. Two mediocre horror films were made based on the urban legend as well and sometimes is meshed into the urban legend of Kashimo Reika. I'm sure their undead schoolgirl look is a direct reference to their band name.

WTFFFF they were REALLY good. They do good choruses like few others on the business, always liked their crazy composition style, even tho it may actually harmed their popularity over the years. this sucks

From their announcement, it appears that 0801弐209XX6 (former band of most of the members) will also perform at their live on November 20.

Another Russian (already disbanded) old-school visual-kei band. Frankly, they put up a couple of good songs and their guitarists did an awesome job sounding like a typical 90s visual-kei band (I can clearly hear Deshabillz and Neil influences), but the vocals... And mixing Russian with English sounds so pathetic. Well, they tried.
