Just finished the office viewing and business meeting! first of all, the office looks promising. It is a bit derelict, but with some tender love and care....and ALOT of hard work and effort, I am sure it can be made beautiful. just trying to figure out a few last financial issues and what not. but hopefully it all works out. Please keep your requests and lists of what you would like to see on the web shop coming (sending by dm). we want to know what you guys want!

Just dropping in to say I'm getting on a huge NOVEMBERS kick! Dumb ramblings to follow: Gave Elegance a couple spins in the past day. Loving it more and more. My favourite is probably the last track, I just can't get it out of my head! (am I the only one who gets a total '80s vibe from the mini?) The others I've listened to are GIFT, zeitgeist, and Rhapsody in Beauty. I love that all four of those releases have a different sound/concept but aren't too different (omg does that even make sense). While I wasn't too fond of the "noise rock/being on an airplane" approach from Rhapsody, the album grew on me and might become a favourite of mine. I don't have any of their other stuff, but I just got a 7CD lot of their first several releases (from ST to GIFT), which I'm SUPER EXCITED to have shipped to me and to listen to all of those. And I'll probably be scanning the booklets so someone can transcribe the lyrics. As of now my current favourites are: Moirè, We, Meursault, [that number song from Rhapsody], dumb (also stuck in my head every second of my life), 出る傷を探す血, and maybe 心一つ待ちきれないまま.

If anyone knows the point-and-click adventure Neverhood, this is the sequel (that I never knew existed!!) Skullmonkeys for PS1 (even has a lenticular case with a wierd booklet cover that makes the eyeball move a little)

One of the things I like most of visual-kei is the lack of professional quality of anything for many many bands--artwork, costume design, marketing, and recording quality. I love trying out bands' super early work that only came in tape form; some of my favorite works have never been re-recorded and shall forever live on in a muddled, hissing, tape. So, what are your favorites? I'll try to post videos, but a lot of them I'm going to have to upload myself eventually since Youtube doesn't have everything. Oh, and feel free to not be restricted to just Japanese music. +Crack Brain- 砂時計: love the melody of this one, and the poor quality adds an extra layer of creepy to it that I really enjoy. Unfortunately, this was never rerecorded (as far as I know). +Luna Sea- Shade: I liked the demo version of this song more than the 1991 rerecording. Haven't heard the 2011 version yet, but I don't think it'll really do the same for me. +Werkmare - Psychopass: Messy metal demo-tapes are fun. This one also has some Bach thrown in as well, which is always an added bonus. I'm actually reallly disappointed that this one wasn't rerecorded for real. +Malice Mizer- Sans Logique: This tape is great. I really love their 2nd attempt at 'Speed of Desperate' and '終幕への扉' is pretty magical. Had this not be lo-fi, I probably would not have liked it as much. +Madeth Gray'll- 狂死楽園: Ooky-spooky demos at their best. The recent version uploaded here also has some warping in the tape that make it sound so so much better, like an old horror movie. They also had like 100000 other demo tapes of similar quality that were all eventually re-recorded (multiple times, actually). This video isn't as warped as I had mentioned, but you'll get the point.

I'm 99% sure if you go to one of their gigs and stay in the front row and look up when he comes to greet the audience you can see Johannes' ball sack.

I must admit that I was avoiding them for a longer time. But finally give them a try and though sometimes Tzk's voice sounds a bit annoying I quite like them. I love in them that you can clearly hear the bass line and not only know that the bass should be somewhere over there.

In today's live, Yuya said he deliberately changed the live title from the speed of light by 1 m/s, because he thinks the world (especially v-kei scene) as it is now is not right and he doesn't know why what is said to be good is good and what is said to be bad is bad, so he tried to express another world where the mathematically correct formula doesn't hold.
