youtube illegal uploaders are shit noodles, this is the most essential point. everyone knows the bands do have their own youtube accounts, but they still upload illegally, what are they thinking? brainless. if you wanna spread the sound, just promote them secretly. Japanese bands don't equal unsigned western bands, dat's it. hmm, about D.I.D. themselves, I still have highly hope on them, cuz I really appreciate their rerecordings. I started to listen to them since the very beginning of Para:noir, I couldn't forget my excitement about listening to "The Virtue" for the first time when the single was out there.

Simply state a band/musician or two that have been with you for many years that you still adore as much as when you first got into them. But, also do the same for another band/artist or two that you used to adore but didn't stay with you to this day below that. I thought this'd be nice to see how your taste has developed while also seeing what has managed to stick with you through that change. I'll go first as an example: Likey: Plastic Tree and Asian Kung-Fu Generation - I've always associated myself with Pura's music. Their lyrics always touch me no matter how I'm feeling, for better and for worse, and somehow, my response to them can be so different. They can make me think and were a way I could express my feelings. They're my musical rock pretty much. XD There's something really interesting about AKFG, who have a really simple and copy-and-paste like structure, but still pull off some of the best melodies and songs that withstand all these years for me. They're one of my many bands I'll not listen to for a bit but always spam when I go back to them, and still super stan them as hard as I did at first. No more likey: UVERworld and One OK Rock - I used to be into both bands a lot when I first discovered J-music, but now it's not often I go back to their albums that I had used to spam a couple of years ago. I'm going to blame myself for looking at them in the same way I did with Paramore, they were my teenage sweethearts but both don't really do it for me anymore. Songs I used to love to listen too when I was angry and tired from school I don't feel that much energy towards anymore, even my favourite songs from them have lost their touch on me.

Lately I've been getting into 蜉蝣 (Kagerou). About a month ago I tried out their first album (self-titled) two different times, and was less impressed by it each time; it was quite difficult to get into. But I didn't give up on them. I decided to check out some of their other stuff. At first I thought they'd be a "singles band," so I got all their singles and the ones they released before their self-titled album were pretty good with some strong moments. I then decided to download all their other full-length albums (落首、愚弄色、黒旗), and they are much better than the first one, and more engaging than the singles. TL;DR, 落首, 愚弄色, and 黒旗 are very solid (s/t is tricky), pre-debut album singles are worth checking out, post-debut album singles are for die-hard fans only.

Patient: D'espairsRay Diagnosis: Sloppy vocalist, Redundant guitarist Prescription: Get Hizumi some Ritalin. Kick Karyu's ass out of the band or at least get a 2nd guitarist! =/ and another... Patient: Rentrer en Soi Diagnosis: Well, ReS is quite dead. Prescription: Slap some sense into these fucks so they can get back together and make some good VK again. Also, Satsuki needs to be bitch-slapped about 15 times for making that solo shit and mildly tortured so he never does it again. ^^;; Harsh medicine =)

i can't stop listening to this single my favorite is definitely Mob Character, followed by CONTRAST, then Which-Hunt. Not that i dislike Which-Hunt, but i have a major soft spot for vistlip's fairytale-ish 'pretty songs' haha this is my favorite vistlip single since CHIMERA ^^ can't wait for their mini next month!!

I used to love E+T - however, they are kind of like A9 was to me a few years ago - no real excitement from their music, but I would always listen to it with hope. Lets hope they pull a Phoenix with this new EP and surprise me. I still have hope.

Watched the four first episodes of season 3 last night too. It's so god damn good, man! Got meself no less than one fucking hour in bed last night, only 20-25 minutes of the asleep I'd assume. Black Sails is so good it's starting to fuck up my life. Impressive! I love it.

Deluhi does need a few "anti-pop" pills. I know it's trendy for VK bands to do the whole hardcore verse/poppy chorus thing, but imo Deluhi was never good at it. I'd also suggest that their vocalist limit his use of English...but the Japanese think it sounds cool, so...
