I appreciate that you actually averaged your score.

EDIT: Review time from an obsessive fan of Ambrozia - Royal Order era Lycaon. Expect this to not be pretty.

First things first, the announcement of the title of the next song is quite possibly the stupidest thing I've heard in quite a while. In general, there are just superfluous bits added to almost every song. This is JUST NOT NEEDED! It ruins the flow of the entire mini and I don't want to hear Yuuki's garbled pronunciation of MALIGORRODU every time I want to hear Marigold, for example. I'm contemplating butchering the mini just to get rid of all the excess noise. Mini title is also atrocious and the cover is fittingly awful. I'm also going to give you a pro-tip right now: divide this mini straight down the center. Disregard the first half and listen to only the songs beginning with "I love sex blah blah blah I better be using protection".

The first track sounds like the intro to an "Adam & Eve" bondage porno. It's not outright terrible but my greatest gripe with the song is that it takes too long get started. There are plenty of good ideas bubbling under the surface but none of them get any time to shine or get aggressive. Could have used some work, more progression or an extra minute. Not too sure which would have provided the best results. 5.5/10

I liked Jesus when I first started listening to the single but after two or three spins I was done with it. Low replay value here and there isn't anything new or inventive going on. It could be tons worse though. 5/10

Nibame no Onna is terrible. It's like EROS had a love child with Pierrot and it was then set aflame and thrown in a garbage can. Listen Lycaon, you cannot write jazz songs. Yuuki's range does not fit with these songs. Your 'jazz' compositions consist of Rito hitting the same fucking note for eight measures. For the love of God, if you're going to continue writing this abominable trash, take lessons from 8-eit. Oh, and drop the fucking horns and the wannabe slut antics and beg your tranny drummer to come back and write good music for you again. Yuuki's lyrical content is also garbage. I don't have to speak Japanese to know he's just babbling. Literally, he just babbles. You do not sound sexy. 2/10, one point purely because I hate giving a 0, one because Hiyuu has nice bass lines.

"I love sex, I love drugs, I love rock'n'roll" is where things start getting better, pardon the bad title. Intro is like Jouyoku no Acme except more sinister. The rest of the song is surprising, ranging from decent to good. I could do without the gratuitous amounts of Engrish and I feel like the chorus is repeated once too much but the songwriting is there and the ideas are at least 80% executed. 7.5/10. Needs a better title.

Marigold tries to take the place of Kesshou Hana. Sorry but you can't usurp my favorite ballad by them. A few points for trying though. I actually almost might take this mini seriously if it weren't for the first three songs being lame. Intro doesn't fit but when the actual song part starts (remind me to cut that out guys) everything picks up. A LOT. Not too much to say here, but a good change of pace. 8/10.

...and here I thought that this was going to be a terrible song. Hello, The end of [Delusion] x Mental Help. This makes me wonder why they chose to dick around for half of this mini. I had to go back and lower almost every rating by a point after hearing this since the rest of the mini is clearly unacceptable in the wake of this song. The guitar line in the chorus is a little grating, but I'll deal with it. Good song. 8.5/10.

This averaged a 6/10. Mini could have been so much better but the last half made up for it. They should have chopped that off and sold this as a single. I would have been much happier.

Ambrozia remains the better mini of the two.

Also, Lycaon, quit queefing around. Start taking your music seriously again.

情欲??アクメ

By far, the most creative thing Lycaon has done in a long time. Absolutely loving Yuuki's reverberating vocals when that first verse kicks in, gives the song a sort of ominous middle-eastern atmosphere. Still feels rather unfinished though, and for that I'll give it a 3½/5.

Jesus

Even with this 128 rip I can clearly hear that the song has been remastered, the drums and both the guitars sound a lot more crisper than the single version. Yuuki's vocal rhythm during the pre-chorus verse (1:09 - 1:24) is quite possibly the song's highlight, as he doesn't sound as whiny and there isn't really anything instrumentally interesting going on here. You have your basic enjoyable Lycaon-song formula going on here; 3½/5.

二番目??女

Ugh, go away sex-kei Lycaon, pleeeeeeeeeease. Couldn't help but lmao irl at I LAV SEX I LAV DLUGS I LAV LOCK'A'LOL. Anyway it's a terrible song, 1/10 because of the cool basslines.

I love sex. I love drugs. I love rock'n'roll

Like Zesshoku has mentioned already, there's a lot of similarity going on with this song's intro and the one from Acme. The song looses it edge really quick though, the chorus really brings the song down. 3/5 because of the intro.

マリーゴールド

Average vkei ballad where, for the PV, all the members are filmed gazing at the sky, then their hand, and then they shake their head because some person doesn't love 'em. I've heard this song so many times already, Lycaon could have at least made it semi-interesting. Did they? No, 2/10.

Time Enough for Love

omg their new support drummer is so uninteresting, anyway the guitar work is great. I'm getting lazy, so I'll just end this with saying that the song would have fit in perfectly as a Royal Order b-side. 3½/5.

Eh I'll give this a 3/5. The first track would have been amazing if they had worked on it more, praise Jesus, and TEFL did a great job at saving the album from a lower score.

情欲??アクメ - interesting sounding song but I have to wait a whole minute for ite actually to get to interesting parts? bah! VK whispering yeah! "welcome to something part"? NO. I enjoyed the guitars mostly in this song. 2/5

Jesus -I love this song. Not inventive at all, but this is the high energy catchy stuff that made me like them in the first place. I can sing along to this song (or at least try. lol) 4/5

二番目??女 - Lycaon jazz....burn it..die. EROS killed any chance of you doing this genre right and that's exactly what this is..an alternate version of that piece of shit...1/5 (for bassline like everyone says)

I love sex. I love drugs. I love rock'n'roll - I like when he said "oh god" before the song kicked in. that totally got me into the song, but it does die after that hard opening...the verse was boring...pre - chorus I like the effects on the guitar...chorus..it's like he's begging for the sex. lol. Don't like it...it's not fun when they beg. You DEMAND THAT SHIT...sorry..went off topic....anyway. Guitar gets points with me. Solo rocked it for me. 3/5

マリーゴールド - oh wow! surprised after that intro. Liked the first part but when the main riff kicked in, I lost interest. I like the drumming in this song though. 2.5/5

Time Enough for Love - Another high energy song..."la la la la" I like the verse. Probably my favorite verse part on the whole mini and the wailing guitar in the pre chorus part is awesome. The actual chorus..at first I didn't like it, but it's growing on me so it's ok. I would say this is and Marigold are the most tightly constructed songs on the album. A decent ending to the mini. 4/5

Overall, decent. I'll probably only keep like 2 songs on my computer from this that being Jesus and Time Enough for Love. lol. This is a good trasition release for Lycaon. By that I mean, they have their traditional sound on here such as Jesus and Time Enough for Love, but they also bring in different elements to show that they are looking to expand which is good. Unfortunately since the new ideas are still in infancy, the songs that they tried different things on aren't too good. I look forward to the next release though.

A short review, and I'm too lazy to copy paste the Japanese titles so I'll just talk in numbers

The first track could've been so much better. It had potential, then Yuuki totally ruined it and I turned it off again. If I don't mind his vocals or his whining too much it's actually pretty good, so I'll give it 7/10.

I already knew Jesus and after 2 or 3 listens it started to bore me. I don't like it on a new listen tbh. 6/10

The third track is like EROS, but a bit less worse. It's completely recycled. Still incredibly bad though. Big lol on 'I LAV SECKS, I LAV DALAGASU, I LAV LOKU ANDO LOLU' 4/10

The actual song with the bad title actually has some very nice ideas. Too bad it doesn't come out that much. 6.5/10

Marigold isn't that bad of a ballad. I really liked the beginning , but when the actual ballad started I felt kind of 'meh' about it. 7/10

Time enough for love was indeed the best track on the mini. I'll give it a 7.5/10

No spectacular mini. Get your shit together guys

ok, I decided to give them a second chance... (= second listen to this mini) so, here I am. I will try to do a professional review = mission impossible

情欲??アクメ

Nice intro, nothing special but pleasant. It makes a sexy atmosphere. 7/10

Jesus

THIS IS LYCAON. Damn it. Not that awful EROS thing. This song is really nice and reminds me of the old time... definitely a good job :D 8.5/10

二番目??女

Argh, the jazzy thing, here we come. The beginning is definitely not my cup of tea :Umno: But the melody grows nicely, after that. The refrain is kinda freaky and usual/average lyrics, but it's OK. Not one of their best songs... surely not, but better than EROS, luckily. 5.5/10

I love sex. I love drugs. I love rock'n'roll

From the title, I was expecting something more rebel... surely. but it's a nice tune indeed~ 7/10

マリーゴールド

A sweet relaxing ballad. I like it... but I prefer the other tracks because after some minutes it starts to be quite boring... :( . 6/10

Time Enough for Love

Wow, from the title I didn't expect something like this! It's AMAZING! *_* 8.5/10

Overall: 7.5/10

I think that I got stunned because of their fanservice, who I personally really dislike (I don't like too much fanservice), but this mini is really nice. They recovered from EROS

anyone has feeling that the 1st song sounds like kiyoharu?

It sounds quite SADS-ish, at least in my ears (well, Lycaon itself is "SADS jr.")

Basically, the first song gets 8,5/10 from me, because of SADS/middle eastern vibes

The rest (except Marigold 8,5/10 for kesshou hana-ness and ILUVSEXILUVDURUUGSILUVLOCKENLOLL 7,0/10 for lulz) belongs

to my meeh-class a.k.a 5,5/10 section - it's that same, annoying, decent vk crap I've heard from thousands of thousands of companion vksters :xxx:

Try harder, Lycaon...oh wait, they are not taking their style directions seriously anymore, pffffft...

ROTFL again, dont get mad cause Lycaon was like "Bitch, never left but I'm back at it, and I'm feelin' myself, jack rabbit Feelin' myself, back off, cause I'm feelin' myself, jack off"like yall know them. They knew what they were doing, it just wasnt your taste.

as for me I thought this was another amazing album that can be described "I'm the big kahuna, go let them whores know Just on this song alone, bitch is on her fourth flow"

10/10

02 - Jesus = RED - gazetto 7/10

Listen to Red again cause thats just ummm reticulated

Ithe announcement of the title of the next song is quite possibly the stupidest thing I've heard in quite a while.

I think it's because all the songs are on one track.
